Who: N and Ky
When: Backdated: during the meeting with the Station Master
Where: In the warehouse
Style: Starting in action brackets
Status: Closed
[N was still plenty reluctant to get involved with all of this, but he had been asked by the Station Master to come just the same as anyone else, and even Zoroark was pushing for him to do something. C had instructed him to speak to 'the blond man' she had pointed at, and while hesitant to do so, he finally made his way over and cleared his throat awkwardly to get his attention.]
Excuse me... I was told I should speak to you.
[That is... so descriptive, N.]

Ah? What can I help with?

I don't consider myself a trainer in the sense that you might know people from the world where Pokemon exist, but I do have two of my friends-- Pokemon with me here.
[He's reluctant to use his friends a tools, especially Zekrom, but Zoroark has been urging him to help not just because he thinks N should, but because the Pokemon himself actually wants to be of use.]

[Ky tries to make the work made sense in his head, and fails]
What can you train them to do?

Traditionally, Pokemon are trained for battles against other Pokemon. Most of the world's commerce deals with the catching, raising, breeding, training and trading of Pokemon of all shapes and sizes. However they're not limited to only that - many Pokemon often assist humans in day to day endeavors, from simple jobs to being teammates with local law enforcement as protectors.
[He wants to go on one of his usual tirades, but in a rare moment of control he actually swallows his pride and his desire to spout ideals. Instead he turns, looking for something before giving a 'come here' motion with his hand.
A creature with black and red fur, taller than N himself and walking upright in spite of looking very much canine comes over. N places a hand on his arm.]
This is Zoroark, a dark-type fox Pokemon. He has the ability of illusion, as well as a powerful move set.
[And yes, the fox is waving like a person.]
While I only have Zoroark and one other Pokemon with me, I have an advantage over other trainers - I can speak directly to Pokemon and understand them.

[It's all a bit much, isn't it?]
They're...biological, not mechanical, I hope?
[Never mind Ky's bias against robotic creatures, but the fear of it is enough to make him settle into his stance a little, even if he's not anywhere near reaching for a weapon.]
I'm sure having more eyes available would be particularly helpful for patrols.

[There were ones that weren't, but that was a very odd thing to explain to a person who wasn't familiar with Pokemon and their types.]
I also have a dragon type. Zekrom.

[Not Ky's first choice of fighting companion, but he thinks he can see it.]
If you're comfortable working with them, then that's what really matters.

I'm sorry I can't offer much more than the two I have with me and myself, but if there is some place you'd feel comfortable having me help, I'm willing to try.

[And with that, N and Zoroark left the meeting and returned to their camp for the night.]
