Staking out restaurants: best way to catch a Saiyan.

[After gathering a little information about Vegeta, Zelda decides to try and find him for herself. She doesn't want to speak with him, just observe him a little. The largest lead she has about him is that he's hitting every restaurant in town. She can be found in one early morning, sitting off to the side with a glass of water and just watching.]

[Hey, maybe she can injure him and drop him off at the clinic! Muraki would like that, wouldn't he? And hadn't Medic been going about vivisection during the confessions curse? That would qualify as research...]

I suppose another trip to the library would be in order for me.

Though...I'm not exactly sure what to look for. He's not human, we know that much. But...what exactly is he?

Something human-like, with unnatural strength, strange hair and a monkey's tail...

[There's nothing like that in Hyrule. Zelda folds her arms thoughtfully.]

Simply asking him isn't an option, I suppose.

It's possible we could ask him. Well, I could anyway. But I'll have to be careful.

That's right, he wasn't violent towards you... perhaps you could try using the Starfish Communicator? It would be safer.

[Zelda's not sold on Vegeta at all, so she wouldn't suggest contact in person.]

[She giggles.]

Zelda, please. I have over two hundred years of combat practice. I can take care of myself.

[She's going to have to stare for a minute.]

Goodness. I had heard that dragons were long-lived, but you don't look to be any older than I am! I never would have guessed.

[gun_symphony]

[She smiles~]

Well, dragonkin age differently than most beings. That, and I do take care of my body.

And I thought that Hylians were long-lived. 200 years would be close to our maximum lifespan...

[Wait, she wasn't here to learn things! Oh well, Vegeta is long gone.]

Do you regulate mana differently than other creatures?

[gun_symphony]

Well then it seems we outlive you. Dragonkin can live over a thousand years no problem. I myself am three hundred.

[Wait...what? Mana? She's...never heard of that before.]

Mana? I don't believe I'm familiar with that term...

The energy all around us.

[Zelda folds her hands, causing the mana around her to glow a soft golden color.]

Not every race or person is capable of manipulating it, but those that are tend to live longer.

Wow.

[Not exactly sure what to say, so she's quiet for a while.]

That is indeed interesting. Perhaps we do manipulate it without knowing, then.

It's likely. You do have a feeling of power about you.

[A power more familiar than whatever Vegeta was using, at least!]

The dragonkin are a powerful race, so that doesn't surprise me.

Though...I feel weaker than I was before. This bubble clearly limits powers.

It does indeed. I would be able to warp back home if it did not.

[Zelda is extremely unhappy that her warp songs do not work.]

I take it you miss being home, then.

Sometimes I do...but I think I am better off here.

[Nodding slowly, she responds.]

Many people feel that way. Some would not even be alive in their home worlds. I want to return home, but I will not disrupt life for those who wish to stay here to do it.

[gun_symphony]

You are very wise for that.

[A beat.]

I am a seer in my world. I am able to see things before they happen, among other things. Most people think seeing the future would be a good thing. Believe me, it's not. Seeing all the good and bad things that will happen, while not being allowed to change them is...awful. And it takes all the excitement out of life.

[zelda_hylia]

[Zelda reaches out for Rhi'a unconsciously. She knows that pain, that horrible feeling of seeing the future and feeling helpless to stop it.]

You have visions, too...

[gun_symphony]

Yes...I do.

[Her normal smile is replace with a frown. Despite trying to hide it...she looks sad.]

Or at least...I did before I came here. If I were to go back...they might continue.

[zelda_hylia]

It is a terrible burden. I can see why you would want to stay here.

[She pats Rhi'a's arm gently.]

It is a pity those that control this place are not more openly communicative. I would love to know what it is about Vatheon that blocks visions.

I know it is selfish, but it is difficult. I'd rather live my life than be an observer in it.

[Still a bit sad.]

[She takes both of Rhi'a's hands. Signless would scold her and say that this was definitely the time for hugging, but she's just not comfortable doing it often.]

It is not selfish at all. You can't control the desire to act on your visions forever. Staying here... you are protecting yourself as well as others.
