[ It's one of those nights. Suoh's spent the entire day sleeping so now, he's out and about hanging around outside HOMRA with his cigarette. He lifts it, moving to light his cigarette with his lighter but after a moment sets it back down.

It's a hell of a chance but... why not?

He makes a quick snapping motion and very nearly drops his cigarette when he finds that a snatch of fire just appeared between his fingers. Sure, he lights his cigarette but for a while, he's going to be there in front of the bar and staring at his right hand which is now absolutely and completely ablaze.

It's a welcome sight. Now he really feels alive. ]

[ So she probably should be asleep right now. But there's a feeling of warmth that has nothing to do with snuggling up to Tatara's not-sore side. There's only really one reason that she can think of that she feels quite this warm, and it has her off the couch and in search of Mikoto very quickly. ]

[King left. There isn't much to do in HOMRA when it's just the four of them, and the bar's still missing much of its character... It's only a couple minutes after King leaves that Tatara goes outside too.

And sees his hand on fire. Tatara just smiles, walking over.

Don't mind him tapping into his own small flame to see if what used to be true still is.]

Your flames are back.

[He holds out one of his own hands. He'll pull away if it starts to hurt, honest.]

Anna.

[ He turns his hand, closing his fist to extinguish the flames. He honestly looks happier than he's been in a long while. Oddly, he feels complete.

But oddly, too... he's looking just a bit transparent. ]

Aa. City's weird like that. Came here without 'em.

[ Didn't mention that he died and his sword kinda went poofy but at any rate, he stays still...

but there's a change in his expression when it looks like Tatara's hand is just going to go right through his own. ]

[ Mikoto will hear the bar door open behind him. Izumo steps out, already fishing a cigarette from his own pack. He's about to take out his lighter, as well, when he catches sight of the flames surrounding Mikoto's hand. It makes him pause for a moment, but quickly enough a smile comes across his face.

This city, man.

He walks up to his friend, cigarette between his lips. ]

Would ya mind?

[ Good. Mikoto is still Mikoto, but there is more to Mikoto when he has his flames. She steps up to him, but blinks.

... is that the other building through Mikoto? This might be an odd little peer around and then face Mikoto sort-of-dance she's doing. That is what is on the other side of him... ]

[ Now here's a favor he's been itching to repay. Have a smirk back from that as he lifts his hand slightly, lighting that cigarette with the smallest flicker of flame.

Feels good man. Feels really good.

But he still wants to try and be realistic about it. ]

Think it's a curse?

[Tatara laughs a little.]

Aaah, this place is really amazing, isn't it?

[Bringing them here, keeping him alive long enough for help, giving King his flames back...Why he didn't have them doesn't really matter right now, though it is something he'll ask about later.

King's flames feel like normal, hot but not painfully so; after another moment of feeling the flames, Tatara blinks and lets his hand fall back to his side.]

King?

[Why'd he only feel flames?]

Could be.

[ And as if hearing the uncertainty in Izumo's reply, the curse provides significant proof. Because as soon as Mikoto's newly returned flames light that cigarette, it disappears from Izumo's hand with a small poof!

Izumo just stares, dumbfounded. ]

Um...

[ He tilts his head, putting out the flames and leaning against the wall, trying to make sense of what she's doing.

What is it, Lassie? Has someone fallen down the well?

He hasn't really realized it himself. He was far too fascinated by the fact he can light his own cigarettes again. ]

[ignisinfernale]

[ The flames go out a moment that effort at contact is made. He pulls his hand back, staring at it then him and back at his own hand. ]

...what the...

[ He calls out the flames again and they are there: brilliant and hot and warm as always. ]

Do it again.

[ignisinfernale]

[ And there is staring.

Much staring.

Yeah, there's definitely a curse going on. Maybe it's a curse on Izumo's cigarettes so... here you go.

One from Suoh's own box. Maybe that won't disappear. ]

... You look like the wall.

[ That doesn't quite seem right. There might be a tiny frown as she watches the flames vanish, but its for reasons she's not explaining. ]

[Tatara blinks and shrugs, obeying a moment later. He reaches out for King's hand, feeling the heat of his flames on his own hand.]

Do things like this happen very often?

[He still only feels the flames...]

Yeah, thanks.

[ Weird. Izumo accepts the offered cigarette, placing it between his lips. This time, he attempts to light it with his own flame, but it doesn't glow but a second before magically disappears as well. ]

..ughhh, seriously?

[ignisinfernale]

[ Give him a moment to stare at her, trying to figure out what she meant before raising his hand and realizing that he could see right through it. ]

...what the--

[ He clenches his fist and it still feels whole though. That hand moves to pat himself down. Yup. Feels whole. ]

Huh. I don't feel weird.

[ignisinfernale]

Dunno.

[ He pulls them back, stuffing that hand in his pocket before taking another drag on the cigarette. ]

Weird stuff happens every now and then. Lasts for a week.

[ignisinfernale]

[ Small frown. That sucks, bro. That really sucks. There's a pause though as he considers something. ]

Want me to hold it?

[chainsmoke_king]

Could ya?

[ Damn it. He needs a cigarette to deal with this not having a cigarette bullshit. ]

[ Anna wavers for a moment. She could see through him, what if she couldn't touch him? That would be very bad, so she doesn't want to test for a moment.

But she wants to stay with him, its pretty much what she wants most, so she has to reach out and make sure she can touch him too. ]

Just a week?

[King'll be flameless and solid again in a week? The solid part is good, but...his flames will be gone again. That's not, not really.

Even if it means he won't be able to accidentally burn everything down.]
