[Stein is going to attempt to fulfill a variety of quests, while adapting to his new thief skills.]

Quest: WHERE WOLF? THERE WOLF!

[Stein and Shiro are going to be responsible, reasonable adults and go hunting wolves in the forest. Stein's got a knife, Shiro's got a gun, nothing could possibly go wrong.]

[paladaddy]

[Except for the part where this gun isn't his usual gun, and it is kind of cumbersome and difficult to use.]

When I find whoever made this damn thing I'm going to beat them with it.

[But even with those difficulties, he is still shooting the shit out of these wolves.]

[circumsutus]

We could trade. [Stein has a short dagger, the blade half the size of his forearm. He's relying on his abilities, quick steps forward in order to shock the wolves with a Stun, then back to let Shiro take shots at the creatures.]

[paladaddy]

I'll pass, I'm not good with a blade.

[Boom, another wolf down. The one nice thing about this gun is that it holds a lot more rounds than his old shotgun did.]

How many more do we need to get?

[circumsutus]

Not many. [They need three wolf fangs total, but not every wolf drops the item.]

[paladaddy]

Good, let's finish this up-

[He was about to shoot another wolf, but he stops suddenly when he sees something.]

--is that a dog?

[circumsutus]

[The lack of Soul Perception is throwing Stein off during this curse.]

Looks like it.

[paladaddy]

What the hell is a dog doing out here?

[He shoots down another wolf, but he'll be careful to avoid that dog. It looks like someone's pet, not a wild animals.]

...wait, wasn't there a quest about a loose dog?

[circumsutus]

I think so. I believe the goal was to take it back to its master.

[paladaddy]

Well, we might as well catch the damn thing and take it back.

[After they off some more wolves, though. Shiro will go ahead and blast away another one, clearing the way so Stein can grab the teeth.]

[circumsutus]

[It's not a bad setup, really. Stun them, blast them, steal their teeth. It makes the constant itching in Stein's fingers calm down a bit, dulls the sharp need to take.]

[paladaddy]

[yeahhhhh go ahead and mutilate those wolves to your heart's content, Shiro will take that moment to go chase the dog down. A few minutes later he comes back, pulling the thing along by its collar.]

If we've got enough teeth, we should go turn them in and give this dog back.

[He suggests this because said dog clearly does not want to go back and is being bitey.]

[circumsutus]

Careful. It might be rabid. [Stein sounds... disturbingly unconcerned at the potential.]

[paladaddy]

It's lucky I have a doctor here to cure me then~

[But no he thinks the dog is okay. He's dragging it over to the elevator now to go back underwater.]

[circumsutus]

I'm a thief right now. I might just let you die and take all your weapons.

[Shiro, did you really think it would be that easy? The dog slips out of its collar and heads straight for the woods again.]

[paladaddy]

Nah, I don't think you'd do that-

[God.

Damnit.]

Oi! Get back here!

[circumsutus]

[Shiro, you're far too trusting. Of Stein and dogs.

Fortunately for their quest, rogues are already incredibly fast, and Stein can chase the dog down without even activating Doubletap. Chase it down and even dramatically tackle it to the ground, taking care to stay away from those snapping jaws. He does Stun it, just so it can't run away again.]

[paladaddy]

[Well Shiro HAD been running to catch up with the dog, but Stein easily outpaces him, and by the time he's caught up the dog is stunned. For a moment he had been worried about Stein crushing the poor thing but it seems everything went better than expected.]

Er, you carry it this time. So you can stun it again if it wakes up.

[Shiro has a stunning attack, but it also hurts the target and he doesn't want to hurt a dog to keep it from moving.]

[circumsutus]

[He's weaker than normal, which is really weird because he hasn't actually lost muscle mass, but he can carry the dog without problems.]

That won't be a problem.
