Feel the distance, bring us closer
Who: yashiro, anyone else in the area
Where: The Plaza
When: January 26th, as new arrivals are showing up
Style: Starting in prose, will match whatever anyone else wants
Status: OPEN
It had been a month since Shiro had arrived. A month since he'd been told that it was a regular occurrence, those new arrivals being dropped in to the bubble. He had waited patiently, the first couple of days, but when no familiar face was to be seen, no familiar voice called out his name, he began to get antsy, nervous, agitated.
He knew Kuroh would follow him if he had the ability to do so. But that was the problem - it wasn't something in his power. It wasn't something in any King or vassal's power. They were all subject to the whims of a force even stronger than anything the Dresden Slate had been capable of producing.
Still... he had hoped. Hoped against everything that he would see that samurai standing there, sopping wet, irritated, and stubborn enough to defy even a so-called God in to arriving where he was needed.
Where he was wanted...
But there was still no sign of him, and the normally composed (if not not a bit derpy) teenager was pacing back and forth in front of the fountain, parasol left to lean against it while he chewed on a thumbnail and muttered to himself occasionally. It wasn't a pretty sight, but any stares were going unnoticed for the moment. It would take some one actively getting his attention (or startling him) to break him out of it.

But, if that was the case, why was The Colorless King standing a mere ten feet from him as if he wasn't on HOMRA's most wanted list? Did the kid suddenly not understand the point of a diversion?
Izumo reached into his pocket, fishing out his lighter as a precaution, and walked straight up to the boy. ]
Been lookin' everywhere for you.
no subject
He turned, brightening with a sheepish smile.]
Kusanagi-san! I must have missed your arrival! Did anyone else arrive with you?
[He looked expectant, eager, and all innocently so.]
no subject
Where's your bodyguards?
And what did you do with Anna and Lieutenant Awashima?
no subject
The question makes him pause and blink, though, and pieces start to click in to place.
Damn...]
It would be safe to assume that if they're not here, they're still back home. I haven't done anything to them and I don't wish to, either.
no subject
[ Again, Izumo takes note of the fact that he's dripping wet - which doesn't make any sense if this is just a simple reality distortion caused by a strain. ]
Where are we, then?
no subject
Vatheon. A city under the sea, likely on some distant world, with the power to draw people here and trap them for an indefinite and unknown amount of time.
[Towels retrieved, he moves back over to the man and hesitantly hands them over, hoping that he won't be attacked for merely trying to help.]
There are those who have been here for years, and some come and go in as little as months. You won't find much information from the locals - they're... vapid at best. But other foreigners like us are normally helpful and give as much information as they know.
... I've been here a month myself, and the only other one from our world currently is Yata-san. He was less than pleased to see me, but I can understand his feelings...

[ But the fact that he doesn't is keeping Izumo from making any move towards seeking revenge against this boy. That and the spiel Shiro just went on about them being trapped in some underwater city...that's a bit distracting. Still doesn't keep him from getting a nice, yet oh so intimidating grin on his face, though!
He flicks his lighter closed, for the meantime, stowing it away and taking the offered towel. ]
no subject
Oh, trust me, he laid a good one on me. Afterwards we managed a mostly civil conversation.
[He refrains from bringing up the the fact that he didn't actually get hurt due to his regained powers as the Silver King, but he figures for now "stunned" and "got the shit knocked out of him" can be the same thing.]
I should ask though... what is the last thing you remember?
no subject
[ He pauses, remembering the sight he'd seen, and suddenly that grin goes from slightly intimidating to slightly devious. ]
I don't know if you're old enough.
no subject
Okay, fine, two can play that game.]
Young man, the Silver King is timeless, and treating me like a mere child because of how I look physically is practically insulting.
But if it helps, being well over fifty makes me plenty "old enough".
no subject
...Silver King?
Alright, I obviously missed something.
no subject
Okay no not really, but you did kind of push a button there, Izumo.]
Exactly. I had my reasons for asking.
It's a rather long story, but the short of it is simply this - I am Adolf K. Weismann, the First and Silver King.
The one who you thought was the Colorless King was, but only for a short time. What the Colorless King truly is, is closer to a parasite. He took over this boy's body and used it to commit that terrible murder, and then came to me in my Himmelreich and attempted to take over my body as well.
However instead of doing so completely, my soul, mind and power were able to jump from my own body to this one. Unfortunately now that my original body is dead, I'm stuck like this.
I learned all this after the Colorless King took over a friend, and attempted to kill me. It shocked me enough to bring back memories and powers in full.
I was attempting to relocate her when I was pulled her. This after I came to speak to you with the Lieutenant in order to get the students from the school off the island to safety.
Which I'm assuming hasn't happened for you yet.
no subject
No. You three had just arrived - or, crash landed, really - into the classroom I was in.
[ Get the students from the school off the island to safety. Seems like what he'd been fearing would happen that day, actually did... ]
no subject
That explains why you were asking about the Lieutenant...
I'll refrain from any further details, then. I'm sorry I had to deliver that information on you so suddenly.
no subject
[ Hopefully she and Anna were okay back home without him there. ]
Don't worry about it. Would've looked like an idiot going up against the Silver King without even knowing it.
no subject
Yes, you would have. It's good to know some of you actually recognize your limitations.
[Adolf, stop gloating.]
So now that you know what's going on, what do you plan to do now?
no subject
[ Damn kids.
He pauses at the last question. Even without any further details on what happened that day, Izumo knows what the inevitable was. And seeing Mikoto arrive here in the state he had only verified it. ]
Enjoy the time while I have it.
no subject
[But Shiro is grateful Izumo seems to have a good head on his shoulders.]
That seems to be the best course of action.
