Yuui was terrified. The last thing he remembered was his brother falling to his death in front of him. But now all the bodies of everyone in the kingdom were gone and he was alone. He had found himself in a strange house and that had been terrifying enough. He had rushed outside, only to realize that things were even scarier out there. Now he was crouched behind some bushes, the very large shirt on his body was the only thing he wore and it hung loosely on the frail frame.

Long blond hair pooled around him and he wondered who had taken the time to bath him since he didn't appear to be dirty from being in the pit any longer. It was all far too confusing and the brightness of this place made it hard to focus. He turned back to the door and started to scramble back for the inside. At least there he could hide in darkness.

Dwight had managed to find some cloths that fit, though his pants were still on the baggy side. At least his flip flops and cap fit. Sort of. He was exploring, having found out that this was not in fact his university campus. Unless they suddenly decided to hold it underwater.

He heard scrambling and turned around, spotting the little blond boy. He frowned and waited a moment before calling out, "Hey, uh...kid. What happened?"

Yuui squeaked as he heart a voice and scampered behind another nearby bush. His heart was racing as he peaked out from behind it at the man that had called to him. He wondered if this was one of the guards, ready to take him back to the pit.

His voice was wobbly as he replied, "I-I..didn't escape. I just woke up here..I swear.."

Oops. He hadn't meant to scare the kid. He shrugs and sits on the floor, crossing his long legs and just leaning forward a little. "I don't mind if you escaped,but you aren't the only who just woke up here."

His tone is soft, conversational even. The kid looks terrified and Dwight does not want to add to it.

Yuui peers between the branches at the man. The rather small and fragile prince doesn't dare come out though as he trembles in fear. "What is this place?"

Okay, that is just cute. Dwight can't keep a smile off his face before he spread his arms to gesture at the area around them.

"This place, as far as I know, is called Vatheon. A normal city that someone decided to put under the ocean."

Yuui finally looks up and notices the bubble. He makes a soft surprised sound and cowers a little more behind the bush. "Is it strong enough to hold the water up? What if it breaks?"

Dwight looks up with him, "This place looks like it's been around a while. It'll hold." Crick in neck so the blond looks back at the younger boy.

"I'm Dwight."

The sudden noises of movement in the house wake Sola up a bit earlier than usual. He pads out into the house proper, somewhat worried to find the door left ajar and no one about. Had something happened? Everything feels just a slight bit different this morning, he can't put his finger on it but there's definitely something...

The mass of blond hair that comes back in through the door is he very epitome of difference and snaps Sola from his thoughts. His first instinct is to go for his sword, it could be dangerous, but he stops himself. Instead the Hylian stands his ground and blinks once before muttering one simple word.

"Hello?"

Yuui lets out a surprised sound as he hears a voice inside the room. He scurries behind the couch and hides there, not even daring to peek out from behind it at the stranger. "I'm sorry for intruding..I don't know where I am. Please don't hurt me.."

The voice is soft and fragile, a waver in it that shows just how terrified the young prince is.

"You're not intruding, it's okay. I won't hurt you." He looks very familiar... Not to mention emaciated. There's no way Sola can leave him like that. He smiles kindly, trying to set the small boy more at ease. "Would you like something to eat? I was just going to make breakfast."

Food..when was the last time Yuui had anything to eat? He isn't sure. One lost their appetite often when surrounded by nothing but decaying corpses. He hesitantly peeks his head up over the back of the couch. Powerful bright blue eyes watch the other person. Eyes filled with fear and uncertainty. Adults had never been very kind to him or his brother.

"Where am I?"

"It's a city called Vatheon. It's actually a really nice place, so don't worry, okay?" He smiles again gently and pulls out some bread to make some simple toast. With how thin the boy is he doesn't want to make him sick by making a huge rich breakfast.

"My name is Sola and I got pulled here about a year ago. I live with my roommates Johnny, big Fai, and little Fai, but they don't seem to be here right now." Sola presses the bread down into the toaster and pulls a chair out by the table, looking towards the blond behind the couch. "C'mon, you can't eat from over there."

Yuui fully intends to stay where he is but those names catch his attention. "Fai..my brother's name is Fai.." It's a curiosity that the boy can't quite get over. He never knew so many people could have the same name as his brother.

He makes no move to come out from behind the couch. He still doesn't trust that Sola won't make any sudden movements.

He'd been wandering around and gotten lost again...this time in some sort of neighborhood. He had found a key in the pocket of the pants he'd woken up in and it had said this neighborhood (according to a map he'd found, anyway) the question was which house did it belong to...?

His wanderings took him close to a house where he spied a child hiding in the bushes. Before he could say anything, the child seemed to dash for the door in fear. Concern pushed the knight to follow after him, closing the door behind him once he was in.

"Hello? I saw you come in here...I do not intend to harm you."

There was a squeak as Yuui discovered he was followed. He scurried towards the couch and ducked down behind it, not wanting to get whisked back to the pit. "I'm sorry for intruding..I don't know where I am."

His little body trembled in fear and it carried over to his voice as he prayed that this man was speaking the truth and did not intend to harm him.

Jean paused in the entry way, not wanting to startle the child further. "Please...do not be so afraid." He kept his voice soft and, after a moment, crouched down, hoping his lessened height would make him seem less threatening.

"You see, I also do not know where I am." He'd been told the name but 'Vatheon' was not a city in France nor any other place Jean had visited..and there was magic everywhere...that alone made him feel lost.

"And you can hardly be intruding in a place that is not in my possession." He paused, a gentle smile touching his lips. "My name is Jean Rayfleur. I am the Knight Captain of my Kingdom and I swear to you on my life no harm will come to you."

Yuui's little body started to tremble even harder. A knight..everyone in his kingdom wanted him dead and the knights all did as his father ordered. Was this knight here to harm him too? Even if he said that he wasn't going to, Yuui had a hard time trusting the adults after everything they had done.

Sitting down on the floor and wrapping his arms around his legs, Yuui made himself as small as possible. "You aren't here to kill me? I don't know where my brother is..but we're the twins of misfortune. If you know of us then I'm sure you're here to hurt us.."

"Twins of...misfortune?" Jean had only confusion on his face. "That is no name for a pair of children. Come now, please do not try to hide..."A thought occurred to him and, from his kneeling position, the knight bowed low. "I do not come here to harm you...I offer you my services. As a knight Captain of France, I will protect you at the expense of life and limb."

He hoped that would be enough to calm the child, no one, especially not the young, deserved to feel such fear.

Yuui looked up at him, clearly not trusting it yet. "Why would you protect me? People have died and it's my fault.." Clearly the boy doesn't trust himself much either but at least the trembling is staring to ease up a little. The man doesn't appear to be too threatening at least and Yuui doesn't think he was as armed.

Hearing the commotion going on prompts Fai to stop watering the herbs he had growing in pots in the back yard and wander back inside. He didn't remember anyone being home but he had been out a while... still, he didn't think those who lived in the house would make noise like that.

It's indescribably startling to see what he knows is his brother, looking rather like Fai himself had when he first arrived and coming through the front door. Thank goodness he isn't holding anything. He probably would have dropped it.

"Yuui?! Are you okay? What happened?"

Not recognizing the voice as first, Yuui gives a start and he covers with his hands over his head. Slowly it sinks in though that the voice is familiar and he lifts his head to peek.

His eyes widen a little as he sees his brother standing before him. "Fai.."

It's still unclear what's going on, but what he does know is that right now he needs to keep his brother calm. Fai crouches so they are on eye level with each other, then reaches out to gently touch his twin on the cheek with a hand that smells vaguely of basil and mint.

"Yes, it's me. Everything is going to be all right. This is a good place."

Yuui reaches out and embraces his brother. It feels like an eternity since the last time he has been able to do that. Tears stream down his face as relief and happiness fill him at being near Fai again. "Fai..how did we get here? Where are we?"

Not that any of it really matters at the moment. What is most important is that he is with his brother again.

He hugs back, one hand rubbing up and down Yuui's back. Remembering how comforting it was to be held by his brother when Fai first arrived, he'll let the other embrace him as long as he needs.

"This is a place called Vatheon. I don't know how it does it, but it brings in people from all different sorts of worlds to live here. But we're the only people here from our home, I promise."

Yuui nods as he clings to his brother. He doesn't care what kind of world it is as long as he is able to be at Fai's side. "And it's safe? No one will hurt us here?" It seemed hard to believe after all the malice they have seen in their lifetime.
