Who: Mamoru and anyone else.
What: Mamoru is patrolling the city, looking for things he could help out with.

Mamoru had transformed and was flying around the city, looking for anything he could help out with. Now that he had a place to stay, he wanted to go around doing whatever he could for the other people who were here besides him. Earlier, Mamoru had tried to contact the people in charge of the Voluntary Defense Force, and wanted to let them know of his interest to join and what he could offer.

Until he heard back, though, Mamoru thought he might as well patrol around the city to get in the habit, and help out anyone else with any problems they had. Mamoru eventually took a break to land and sit down, though, wanted to rest after flying for a while, making sure to transform back so his green glowing and wings wouldn't attract any bad attention. "I wonder if anyone around here needs help." he asked curiously as he looked around the area.

Reapers didn't need as much sleep as humans, so Grell roamed around this odd city, trying to discover what it had in store. She had found a host bar, so who knew what other treasure she would discover?

She heard someone speak nearby and turned around to look. She spots a young boy (everyone is young to her) wandering about as well, which made her raise an eyebrow.

"Isn't it past your bedtime?"

Mamoru snapped around to see the lady nearby, and wondered who it was, though, his heart sank when he heard that rather mean comment. Mamoru hated being treated like a little kid, especially since he was rather used to having large responsibilities.

"Who's there? And don't take me lightly cause I'm young!"

Well, that certainly wasn't the reaction she was expecting. Grell crossed her arms before walking forward, amused by the comment.

"Then I won't. What are you doing about so late?"

"Well, I decided to just take a look around and stuff, see if anyone needed help with anything. I kinda signed up for the Voluntary Defense Force, so I gotta get used to patrolling around." Mamoru said, a bit nervously, but trying to be serious and assert his position.

"Is there something wrong with that? Anyway, I'm Mamoru, It's nice to meet you, please don't hesitate to let me know if anything's wrong or if there's anything I can help with!"

"I don't find anything wrong with that." But wow, was this kid defensive. "You're quite well mannered, however. It's nice to meet you, as well, Mamoru. I'm Grell." She offered a hand to him to shake. "It's good to know I have a hero awaiting to rescue me~!"

"You did kind of startle me, so I am sorry if I was a little rude. I just gotta be tough and remember to have courage if I'm gonna be on the Voluntary Defense Force!" Mamoru added.

Mamoru then stood up and looked around a bit more. "And not just you, I wanna do my best to protect everyone here!"

"You're going about this the right way, although you're need to be visibly confident may just backfire in the long run." Grell looked to him, wondering just how such a boy could be on this force team, or whatever it was called.

"I suppose you might have a point" Mamoru said, thinking for a minute before perking up. "But some good friends of mine always taught me, that with courage and guts, everything will work out in the end!"

"Your friends sound painfully optimistic." Grell thought that advice was terrible.
