[Silver grimanced as he stumbled back, lowering his blade as the practice session came to an end. At least he was, somewhat, still standing this time. Though not for long as he dropped the blade and fell back onto the grass with a small sound.] -- I think I'm getting better.

[... Maybe? Silver really didn't know, but he thought he was. Either way, the spar had been a chance to work out some of the frustration he'd been feeling over A Certain Thing - more so as it wasn't as easy as he'd thought it would be. ]

..Alright. [Silver could agree to that.]

Yea. Just let me get my stuff. [Jacket et al, which doesn't take long to get and return to proper places.] ..Any place you have in mind?

[ Kenshin returns the sheath to the sash across his chest then responds with a nod. ]

There is a shop in the Plaza which serves the best tea.

Lead the way. [Silver's own sword is slung back across his back - then then the trainer pauses - then just shoves his hands in his pocket.] Please.

[Manners, he does have them.]

[ Kenshin grins. He's rather accustomed to this sort of manners, being a lord and all. ]

[ and so he leads Silver to a cafe in the Plaza that has good tea :D ]

[Once they get there, Silver is just going to well. Be himself and drop the sword by his chair then flop in it with a small mumble about sword training training the Eevee are about the same level of frustration. Though, obviously for different reasons.] ... I'd offer to pay, Kenshin, but. Heh.

[A look at the mark on the back on his hand with a small smirk.] These things come in useful.

[ Kenshin sits much more formally in his seat, tucking the sword off to his side so its still reachable. ]

Indeed it is quite useful. [ his mark is on his cheek. The waitress nearby looks up and brings a pot of tea. See, Kenshin's a regular at this place. ]

[A mumbled thanks, then a pause as Silver looks off, organizing his thoughts then -] Did you mean what you said? That I am improving?

[Silver's not sure if his teacher is just being polite, or even with his frustration being channelled into the spar, that he is improving.

He hopes that he is, because not improving at all... Well, that would not be the worst thing ever, but it would point to a weakness somewhere, and Silver despises weakness in himself most of all.]

[ Kenshin nods. ] I do not give empty compliments. It is indeed the truth.

Good. Even with using my frustration today, I'm not weak enough that I'd be sloppy or slack off.

When do I start on the more advanced stuff?

Frustration can cloud the mind.

As for more advanced techniques, I do believe we could begin on those tomorrow.

Tch. And? If it works in making you stronger, than it should be used.

I'd like that. [The faster he get's stronger, the better.]

A clouded mind and poor judgment, which results from such, can lead to injury and even death. If you cannot think properly, you cannot react properly either. Strength means little if you are injured or dead.

I - [And pause. He's never actually heard put that way before, and it makes sense.He might not like it, but it does make sense] .. I suppose. Hmph. Those that get themselves injured or killed in battle do...

[Pause. Lineface. He may or may not be starting to connect the dots some more with his own behavior in more than just this.

He's not liking what he's coming to see, at all.] Hmph.

[ Kenshin laughs lightly. What a stubborn kid, but he does have skill. He just needs a clearer mind. ]

In time, your mind can become clearer; your skills, sharper. You cannot expect this to happen over night, however.

[Silver's middle name is stubborn... along with several other things.] ... Yea.

But when it does, I won't lose. [Arrogant much? Or just not considering that he can lose even if he gains a clear mind? Bit of both really.]

[ so ambitious! or something. ]

We shall see, in time.

[ Kenshin doesn't look worried at all. Instead he's calm like usual.

oh look, there's the plaza and the tea shop! ]
