[Whenever he became deep in thought, or unsure of what to do, Tidus found himself back in the water. This time is no exception. He drifts on his back effortlessly, staring at the clouds. What was the point of this place? People kept disappearing. Could anyone really make a semblance of a life here, or were they just bidding their time? Normally, he probably would have just gone out, covered it up with stupid comments and reckless grins. This time, he has something else reckless in mind. Kicking himself forward, he turns and begins to swim out into deeper waters. Maybe if he gets far enough, he can find something out. If not...

At least it feels good to swim. At least that's something he can do.]

*Selphie was feeling in much a similar way right now, and it wasn't like her at all. People did just keep disappearing, and she wondered sometimes if soon there'd be no one left.

She decides she needs a walk, some fresh air, at least, as fresh as she's going to get. And she winds up at the beach. She sees something in the water, and runs along the beach to investigate, stopping when she sees a familiar shape, and waves*

[Tidus doesn't immediately notice the shadow, but his gaze flickers back up to the waving figure. Beginning to resurface, pretty soon he can tell it's Selphie, so he waves back. What was she doing here, alone?]

*Selphie moves right to the edge of the water. She sits down and pulls off her boots, wriggling her toes against the ebb and flow. She smiles, and waves back yet again in reponse. Selphie can play wave tag for a long time!*
