This nightmare has no end
Who: Ruca Milda and you
Where: the park
When: evening
Style: Anything you want
Status: Open!
He had enough of this. He tired to ignore the voices, he really did! But he couldn't do that any longer. It was too much.
"You poor thing! There's no one you can trust."
It wasn't real, he knew about that! But the longer he kept hearing the more he was afraid. What if the voices were right? He shook his head wanting to mentally scold himself for even thinking like that, but that fear was still there.
He didn't know why, but he ran towards the park as if hoping that he can hide among the trees. But of course, that wouldn't work. It was just making things worse and worse.
"Look, Asura, look what has she done to you. You loved her so much and yet, she didn't hesitate to stab you in the end!"
"Just stop it! Leave me alone!!" he yelled exasperated, despite the fact that he knew it was useless. He really couldn't take this any longer.
Why couldn't it just end already? He didn't know what to do anymore... Running was useless. Yelling was useless. Everything was useless!
He fell to his knees and covered his ears with his hands, trying to block off the sounds.
"The story likes repeating itself. Surely, they will all betray you again!"
It was all useless.

He searches for the source, which doesn't take long, and approaches Ruca. Crouching, he reaches to lightly touch Ruca's shoulder and speaks so he can focus on Serph's voice.]
Ruca.
no subject
S-Serph...
[Ruca looks at Serph feeling even more helpless than before. He doesn't know what to do anymore and he doubts anyone could possibly help him.]

Don't you remember what have they done to you? There is no one you can trust!
[The boy frowns and withdraws his hand.]
no subject
Even if you hate me, I will still help you.
no subject
Hate you...?
[He shakes his head.]
I could never hate you... B-but...
[can Serph really help him...?]
no subject
You don't need to trust me to allow me to help you.
no subject
[You're actually making him feel a little bad. Ruca sighs and eventually takes Serph's hand.]
...Thank you.

What happened?
no subject
I just... can't take it anymore.
no subject
Please elaborate.
no subject
I just don't know what to do. The voices... they keep telling me I can't trust anyone... and ignoring them doesn't help.

Did something happen to you before?

The screeming faerie woke him, of course, and he scrambled off the bench to head home, forgetting about portals for the moment.
That was when he heard shouting. The voice was familiar, although it took him a long moment to place it. Had he ever heard Ruca raise his voice before?
Roxas made his way towards the sound until he found his friend. "Ruca?"
no subject
"I-I'm fine." he said, his voice was shaky. It was so obvious that he wasn't fine at all. He never was good at lying, but right now he didn't know what he was supposed to do. He was too afraid to hear the voices again. He was too afraid to let anyone else hear them too.
He took a step back as if he wanted to leave, but then he froze in one place and barely stopped himself from looking around.
This time the voices were laughing at him.
no subject
"...it's not real, whatever it is." He returned his gaze to Ruca and tried to smile. It came out a little shaky, because he knew his own fears were just as likely to make an appearance even while he was trying to help his friend.
no subject
But still ignoring it wouldn't help. Nothing could help him anymore... or at least that was how he felt right now.
Ruca took a few more steps back avoiding Roxas' gaze.
"There's no one you can trust." the voice said and Ruca shook his head trying to dismiss it.
no subject
"It helps some, if you're not alone. At least, I thought so."
Should he say anything about the voice? He wanted to think Ruca could trust him. He was trustworthy, wasn't he?
no subject
But he couldn't let them win. They weren't real and running or trying to hide definitely wouldn't help him either.
"You're right." he looked at Roxas then looked away again. "Sorry..."
He really didn't mean for it to sound like he didn't trust Roxas. Because he did trust him! Or at least he always thought he did.
no subject
It wasn't like Ruca himself had said anything about trusting or not trusting anyone. Roxas was just quick to doubt himself.
no subject
"Because you should not trust him." the voice could be heard a moment later, but this time it was clearly a female voice. A very familiar voice.
Ruca froze and looked around. In the distance among the trees he could see someone.
"Why...?"
That also wasn't real... right? She couldn't possibly be here.
no subject
There were things Roxas still hadn't really told Ruca. It wasn't really that he thought Ruca would react badly or betray his confidence, it was just... he was scared, still.
"You can- trust me to be here, though."
no subject
"I know." he paused. "No matter how much you trust someone you're still afraid to tell them everything... right? I know. I feel like that, too."
"Of course. Nobody would be able to understand that's why you can't tell them everything. People are all the same and none of them is worth any trust." the female voice said. Ruca had no doubt who it belonged to by this point. But this time, almost like she emerged from the darkness, the woman showed herself nearby Ruca. She was exactly the same height as him, her eyes were almost the same as his, but a little more green and unlike Ruca's, her gaze was cold and piercing. Bitterness was clearly written on her face. She had long red hair and was very beautiful. She looked almost exactly like the goddess Inanna.
Ruca didn't even glance at her this time. She had to be the part of the illusion.

"I don't know what you're scared of saying, but I get it. There's things that- people just didn't accept, back home. And I don't wanna risk it."
no subject
"We sure have a lot in common, don't we?" he frowned. "And even though I know that people here are different from those back home... I know that nobody will think badly about me because of what I am and yet I'm still afraid."
"They are all the same." the woman said. "To them we will always be worse than monsters."
