Who: Lloyd Irving and Guy Cecil.
Where: Yutopil 1-6
When: Thursday evening, after the nightmares start up. (Backdated)
Status: Closed

[The first couple nights of the week had been an absolute mess in Yutopil 1-5. It seemed that, no matter how far Guy tried to get himself from his roommate, their nightmares would mesh together - the bubbling of a bottomless sea of miasma under their feet, a slaughtered Oracle soldier screaming in agony or the illusions of their party (Guy himself included) turning away and leaving Luke alone. It was hard enough to watch, but it was a little harder to realize Luke could also see what was happening to Guy... well, the shapes and shadows that would leap out with the shriek of a woman's voice withstanding.

It was that one moment, when he'd lost control - the moment that he'd only told Luke the partial truth about. He'd feel a sickening clutch against his arm, a flash of purple, and over and over he'd see that scene happen from beginning to the inevitable end. A ghost of himself, anger in his eyes, sword drawn and fighting to kill a frightened Luke. He would always overwhelm the noble within moments, disarming him, raising his blade--

He wished it ended there. He wish he hadn't looked when that scene first played before him. The scent of blood and the sound of Luke's screams were the worst part, and they lingered for much longer than the scene itself, leaving Guy with a sickening, frightened pit in his stomach until the ghosts eventually appeared to repeat the same events.

Over and over.

It wasn't as if he could just stop it, for himself or for his roommate. So after that first night, when the fairies started to melt, Guy would retreat as far to the other side of their small living place as possible. It didn't take long to realize, though, that while Guy would soon be out of Luke's fears.... he was close enough to pick up someone else's. Glimpses of a faceless man, a wicked smile and a blade in hand, dark whispers on his lips...

It was oddly familiar, with the murders that had just ended, and it took a couple days for the blonde to remember just who lived next door. He hadn't seen or heard from Lloyd since he'd spoken to him upon waking up a couple weeks ago, and the boy could easily have had some help. But Thursday still found Guy knocking on his neighbors' door. Call it the caretaker in him, but after seeing how Lloyd had been at Zelda's house... he just wanted to make sure.]

[Lloyd could see it. Lloyd could see it all too well, but was trying so hard to ignore what he kept telling himself wasn't real. That doesn't stop him from flinching, from starting to reach out to try to grab the monster's hand when it reaches for Guy, but his hand doesn't make it before

blood and pain and Guy, s-stop!

and Lloyd has to wrench his eyes away from the horrifying flickers he can see just past Guy to meet the blond's eyes again. He swallows, hard, throat feeling dry.]

I'm... fine. Are you...?

[It isn't real. It can't be real. He's seen flickers and hear Luke's scream and it's just a nightmare, it has to be, but his eyes still slide to the left, looking past Guy into the hall. His knuckles turn white around the door knob.]

Is Luke...?

[He can't finish that thought.]
