Monthly Mingle Log
Another month has passed and it is time for another oppertunity to mingle. Knowing of the curse that haunts the foreigners, Station Master has taken extra care to plan this party and the preparations only during the daylight hours. Wouldn't want to cause a giant panic, right?
Today, the little tucked away part of the plaza has been livened up with a host of spooky decorations, black cats and witches, skeletons and tomb stones, they have all been placed amongst the food tables, allowing for a casual halloween-ish mood. There are also a lot of pumpkins there, freshly prepared especially for this feast.
The tables of food are back too, filled to the brim with pumpkin pies, pumpkin squash, pumpkin cups cakes, honestly, you can put a pumpkin in and it is there. There are also large bowls of candy, free for the taking.
Naturally the two booths are there again, the one belonging to the welcoming committee, for any new (or old) character with a burning question, and the one belonging to the host club. Who knows what theme they have this week. Only way to find out is to check it out!
Finally, part of the plaza has been set up to allow for the talent contest that was to be held here, organized by a few of the foreigners themselves. Maybe it is time to check it out and see if there are any cool talents on display? Or maybe you have your own talent to display. If so, feel free to visit the show.
As every month, an invitation had gone out to all the foreigners in the day leading up to the party, reminding them of the party, the date, the times, and this time, attached had been an invitation to come dressed up. They might not be able to celebrate Halloween during the evening hours, but maybe a slightly late Halloween party would lift the spirits anyway? Station Master has certainly joined in himself too. For a day, he has exchanged his trusty cap for the scariest thing he could possible think of: a familiar white nurse's cap. 2spooky.

DADLEER!
no subject
[So he makes his way to the front door as quick as he can, looking frazzled.]
Equius! What's wrong?
no subject
Though of course, if they don't have any doors, Gamzee can't walk into them anymore. Advantage!
He smiles a little, trying to lighten the whole thing.]
My arm feelin' a lil' fuckin' funky is what's the haps here.
no subject
Gamzee's shoulder is dislocated.
[He's not even going to bother saying the obvious about how it happened; he's pretty sure the stricken look on his face is clue enough.]
no subject
Thank goodness, I thought it was something worse. [Don't ask what he was imagining.] Gamzee, come, come and sit down on the couch and I'll take a look...
[Running a hand through his hair to straighten it out, he uses the other to fetch a band from his belt. It'll be easier to do his work if his hair out of his face... and he wants to at least look like he's in control.]
no subject
go ahead and skip him for a tag or two, he's going to abscond to the backyard
no subject
We'll be sure to get this sewn up later, alright? [Yeah, sorry Gamzee, Darkleer is carefully tearing along your costume so he can get to your arm.]
no subject
[It's fine. It is not like he's got an attachment to this costume anyway.]
What's up and goin' down anyway?
no subject
The good news is that we can put it back into its place without much trouble. However, it will hurt. So try and dig your fingers into the couch and clench your teeth so you don't bite your tongue. Alright?
no subject
He listens to the explanation with a half-cocked head and little attention. He just... doesn't care so much. As long as Darkleer can fix it, and he does believe he can!, then it doesn't really matter so much what exactly went down.
The thought of letting go of his arm is not a fun one --it hurts more that way-- but if Darkleer says he should, then he will.]
Aight. Whenever you wanna. Ain't like it don't fuckin' smarts already.
no subject
That's a boy. When we're done, you can have a caramel apple.
[Mostly because Darkleer has like a hundred of the things in his sylladex.]
[Finally coming to a conclusion, he quickly gets to work and starts to rotate the shoulder blade while pushing lightly. That should do it- the dislocation doesn't look too bad, after all.]
no subject
What about twoo-- ow. ow ow.
[Holy fuck Darkleer moving his arm hurts. He clenches his teeth together, trying to keep still, his claws threading into the sofa.]
no subject
[Just... another little push and- he feels the ball go back into its socket just by how Gamzee's arm moves. For a moment, he pokes and prods a bit more, making sure that everything is alright.]
Try moving it now... We can get something to put on it if you want.
no subject
Maybe some ice?
[If ice can help with sore balls, surely it can help with sore shoulder balls too.]
no subject
I'll go see Equius now, alright?
no subject
He sinks back against the couch, his eyes sliding shut as he holds the icebag to his shoulder. He'll probably need that wrapped up later to give some extra support, but right now he is happy enough with his icebag.
He opens his eyes for a moment when Darkleer presses the caramel apple into his hand --hey why let injury keep you from food-- though he pauses before shoving it in his mouth.]
Aight. Could you like... all tell the motherfucker that this weren't his fuckin' thing? He's probably blaming hisself on it.
no subject
[A part of him wants to pet Gamzee's head, but now that the issue has been dealt with, he's starting to worry about parts of himself the curse has been all too eager to point out. So he just awkwardly pats at his knee before getting up and moving to the backyard.]
Equius?
time for a blueblood manpain thread!
[He looks up when Darkleer approaches, his expression stricken.]
Is he okay?
all the blueblood manpain
He's perfectly fine. It was just a dislocated shoulder. I put it back in its place, and now he's just putting some ice on it. It is nothing to worry about.
no subject
Don't!
[The chocobos ruffle their feathers at that sudden outburst, and Darkleer the bird bumps his head menacingly against his namesake's shoulder.]
Don't touch me, I'll hurt you too!
no subject
[Without much care, Darkleer places his hand over the blue chocobo's head and pushes him away.]
Gamzee is just fine. You didn't break his arm, did you? You didn't tear it off. It may not seem like much but.. you're getting better.
no subject
[The chocobo warks crabbily, but shuffles to one side to give Darkleer more room. If the older blueblood tries again, Equius won't resist him.]
But I hurt him.
[Darkleer, you don't understand, this is what Equius' melted fairy turned into, brought to life!]
no subject
[Coming closer still, Darkleer places a hand on Equius' shoulder.]
We'll always be here for you while you do so.
