Birthday Party!

When: Tuesday, starts out in the evening and lasts until late at night.
Where: The Island, at the beach.
Style: Whichever!
Status: OPEN

[Tidus had planned on throwing Roxas' party on his actual birthday. Then, stuff happened. Then other stuff. Now, finally, Roxas' very late "surprise" birthday party is being thrown. Telling Roxas that he just wants to hang out on the Island, everyone else is informed of the party before they get there.

As characters approach, there's a banner hanging that says: HAPPY 16th BIRTHDAY ROXAS. Glowsticks decorate the area where the party is taking place. There's enough for anyone to take some and use them if they want! Some catchy, danceable music plays in the background, and to the side is the table with (alcohol free for the time being) refreshments and snacks, Roxas' sea-salt ice cream cake still in a cooler until later. On the opposite side, is a table for birthday presents, which will can be opened anytime Roxas wants. Since the weather is decent, a projector has been set up on the beach to play an action adventure, fishpun-free movie later.

Games will go on during the party too, including sardines (which will take place more inland), pictionary and anything else anyone might think of. In case anyone wanted to play sports, there are also a few balls lying around, along with the closest thing Tidus could find to struggling bats.

[That doesn't explain why he doesn't celebrate his birthday but okay]

It sounds like it must be a lot of fun working in a place like that!

[ He looks back to Roxas. ]

You sure that's what you want to do?

[ Though judging by the smile on Sora's face he wouldn't mind. ]

[Wouldn't you like to know?]

We got to go to a lot of different worlds, but- there was a lot of fighting, too.

It's a start.

[Roxas walks over to pick up a pair of bats, tossing one to Sora.]

[ Sora catches it expertly and he grins wider. ]

Okay! You asked for it!

[ He drops into his fighting stance. ]

[coolerthansora]

[Hey that's his line.

Oh well, Roxas grins and closes the distance for a first attack, bringing the bat down in an overhand strike.]

[runbysmiles]

[ Sora parries the attack and steps quickly to the side to take his own swipe at Roxas. No doubt they're already getting a crowd. ]

[coolerthansora]

[A crowd that ought to be rooting for the birthday boy. Hopefully.

Roxas avoids the swipe with a reversal, sliding around behind Sora to swing at him again.]

[ Press square! Sora dodges to the side and rolls around to the other side of Roxas. He jumps up quickly and goes at Roxas with a double strike. ]

The Heartless...right?

[He shrugs.]

They've both got their share of fancy foot work.

[He will now be reaching over to try and ruffle up your hair, boy.]

That's kind of the point, champ.

Hey! [ Sora laughs and flails a little at Axel's hand to get it off of his hair. Somehow he never manages to stop that before it's too late. Secretly he likes the attention. ]

Yeah but then I'd never get to see you guys either!

[coolerthansora]

[Roxas turns and blocks this one, the bats just making a soft thwacking noise, and then he shoves forward against Sora.]

[coolerthansora]

I guess that's right.

Except if you're fighting you might try to step on someone's foot.

[runbysmiles]

[ Sora jumps back, sliding a bit in the sand. He's grinning like the idiot he is. He doesn't really want to win, what with it being Roxas's birthday, but he's not going to make it too easy for the other boy. ]

What's wrong Roxas?

[ Yup that was a taunt. ]

[coolerthansora]

What, you want me to beat you faster?

[Roxas closes the distance again, feinting an attack before rolling past Sora to try to get him from behind.]

[runbysmiles]

[ Sora laughs and is nearly caught in that attack. He can feel the struggle bat catching on his jacket as he moves out of the way and moves backwards in quick steps. ]

[flared]

[He ruffles up his hair but then pulls his hand back to give Sora a break.]

Mm, that kinda would be a problem, wouldn't it?

[Shrug]

Hopefully you'll stay bright eyed and bushy tailed all the time, then.

[flared]

[He laughs at that.]

I guess that's true. Not very nice, but true.
