[As had been accorded by Tsuzuki and Rin, a double date dinner was taking place tonight at Tsuzuki and Tatsumi's home. Cooking was done by the ex-secretary, and he had only allowed his lover to hang around the kitchen by making him promise not to touch anything. From the suggestions he had recieved, he decided to make summer rolls as appetizers, sukiyaki for the main course and apple pie for dessert. And by the look Tsuzuki gave the food as it started coming out, he supposed it looked good, he only hoped his guests would be pleased.

As the hour drew near, everything was ready for the other couple's arrival. Tatsumi was giving the last touches to the apple pie when the doorbell rang.]

Tsuzuki, these must be our guests. Could you please get the door? I will be there in a second. [He needs to wash off the sugar first.]

[Asato's tail wags happily as he watches Tatsumi cooking, especially interested by the apple pie. He licks his lips, ready to reach for the delicious dessert when the doorbell rings.]

Going !

[Ears twitching, he opens the door and smiles at their guests.]

Woof wo... I mean, good evening !

[In the bizarre cat logic Maka has acquired, hearing a "woof" prompts an automatic reaction of hissing instead of saying "hello" or "thank you for having us."

She already feels awkward. This is Mr. Tatsumi's boyfriend, she's being rude!

But still, with her tail bristling and a growl that she can't force out of her throat, Maka hides behind Rin.]

N-n-nyaaa-ice of you to invite us, sir.

[Tatsumi comes from the kitchen, without a single speck of flour on his clothes of hair. He's just orderly like that.

He sees Maka peeking from behind her boyfriend.]

Good evening and welcome, Maka-chan, Okumura-san. [Bows.]

[Rin had a pretty good scowl going on. Not because he didn't want to be at the dinner, because really it had sounded like a fine idea at the time.

But that was before he realized just how difficult Maka being a cat girl was going to be.

Like he had said to Bon at the start - this was going to be a long week.

At finding Maka hiding behind him, Rin just sighs and steps to the side, returning the bow as politely as he can manage while keeping a hand on her arm so she didn't try to hide again.]

[Though surprised by Maka's reaction, Asato doesn't really mind it. He can understand, cats and dogs are not known to be the best of friends.

So he just smiles at the two younglings and steps aside with Tatsumi to let them come in.]

[Tatsumi has also realized the problem of having a cat and puppy at the same dinner table, but Tsuzuki is the friendliest puppy ever, so things should be fine.]
