Who: Ky Kiske and Open-ish
Where: Zelda and Zelos' house
When: October 1st.
What: Ky's cranky when he's being made to recover.
Style: Use what you're comfortable with.
Status: Open to anyone who would have reason to be in Zelda and Zelos' house and want to talk to Ky or would visit just because he's there. Ky will be staying at Zelda's for 24 hours, feel free to put threads here for any time during that.

[Ky had been content to sleep for a solid six hours once he arrived at Zelda's, where Dhaos took him. By the time he wakes his head feels drastically clearer. The pain hasn't really faded at all, but it is what it is. He's not about to sit around waiting to heal, he has to stop the murderer and kidnapper before he hurts anyone else at all.

Apparently waiting to heal is exactly what Zelda's expecting him to do, as he finds himself forbidden from leaving her house until he's had more of a chance to heal and the drugs have worn off. The idea of that, given what's happened and what's at risk, is revolting, but he doesn't really have the strength to fight her on it. Which is why he's doing what he can, moving around the house frequently to prove that he can and that he's just fine.

He might need to frequently sit down and rest, but he's still clearly capable of being on his feet for at least a little while. He could be doing some searching. He should be.]

I'm not very picky when it comes to food. Anything's better than army rations and all that.

[Ky musters a smile to return to Rin.]

Unless you wanted to be able to bring it home?

Naaah... I just wasn't sure what you liked. They get enough of my cookin' at home as it is. G'on, take whatever you want.

[He grins, tail swaying in that happy-cat fashion he does so often.]

[ Ky opens the box, glancing from it to Rin's face. ]

You clearly put a lot of time into this.

[ Certainly more than Ky has ever put into a meal. What matters is the nutritiousness of food, not the taste. But still, it looks good. ]

Are you sure you wish to give it to me?

[Sorry, Ky. Rin is giving you a bit of a flat look at that.]

Y'know if you keep askin' I'm gonna force feed it to ya.

[Seriously, Ky. He made it for you. Eat it already.]

I'd prefer you didn't.

[ Never mind him, he's just not used to this. But then eating isn't that hard, it's just the whole environment of being taken care of. He's looking around for a fork, and a way to share the food. Although perhaps he shouldn't eat on the bed -- he doesn't want to make a mess. ]

[Rin just huffs at that, rolling his eyes a bit. Geez, Ky, way to bring out the tsun in Rin.]

... oh! Right, hum...

[Wait, he's got this. He reaches over and picks up the box, showing that a little fork in a small clear plastic case had rolled underneath it when he was carrying it. Luckily the handkerchief kept it from going too far.]

Wasn't sure if you knew how to use chopsticks or not.

I learned the theory from Jam. I'm still more comfortable with a fork, though.

Is there another fork, for you?

Nah, I got my own.

[Yup, black chopsticks with little white cat faces on them. They're cute.]

So... any idea how much longer you're gonna be stuck on bed rest?

[ They look like something Jam might like. ]

Just until tomorrow.

[ Ky twirls the fork for a second, before taking a bite, kind of eagerly. ]

Oh! That ain't so bad! I figured you'd be stuck a lot longer than that!

[and he figures its a good thing Ky isn't going to be forced to say any longer than that. Even Rin can tell he's some one who would rather be productive than on bed rest.

But putting that aside, Rin just watches. The best part of giving people good food is getting to watch thier reactions. Don't mind that swishing tail, Ky.]

I'm not sure Zelda wishes to make as big of a deal as it would be if it were longer.

[Ky places the food in his mouth and chews for a moment before swallowing and nodding. It was good, certainly a good deal better than what he usually made for himself. (Not that what he made for himself was bad -- it was nutritious!)

On the other hand this is easily the best food he's had in quite while.]

[Really, Zelda has bigger things to worry about. Granted what happened is pretty big but there's also the "he's still out there" issue.]

[ Perhaps if Ky were a good patient, who simply stayed still and recovered like he was told to. If only. ]

[The same could be said about any of her "patients" really. Rin is just grateful that he hasn't wound up on that side of her yet, and probably won't considering his brother is already an exorcist doctor.]

Eheh. Glad you like it. I know it ain't gonna help you get back to work any faster, but it's somethin' at least, right?

It is, I'm...touched that you care, Rin. Truly.

... why wouldn't I? ... I mean I know I can kinda be a jerk sometimes, but you still helped me when I needed it, and you didn't even know me back then.

I mean... we're friends, right?

Friends doesn't mean you care, really.

[ Not in Ky's experience, anyway, yet. It's true he doesn't have a lot of experience when it comes to this, though. ]

... wha--... geez, what kinda friends have you had?! I didn't even start makin' friends until last year and even I know that's not how it's supposed to be!
