vatheon | One last day to see the sun

[Assuming this curse would function like all of the others, Johnny would be back in his body soon and, as much as he would rather have that for Rinoa's sake, there would be aspects of being human that he would miss. Being able to walk about without the urge to sink his teeth into everyone around him, not having to hear the constant thumping of hearts...it was quiet and peaceful in comparison.

So he was taking his time today as he wandered around doing shopping for his apartment, Jacob, and the tavern, including stopping by a flower shop to get something colorful for the other man. And, of course, he decided that he might as well take advantage of the difference between his body and Rinoa's and dress a little differently than usual.

Of course...the last thing he did was go up to the island. One day in the sun, that would be nice. He hadn't gotten the chance when that one curse had turned him into an angel, but now he had the time.

Once he was out of the elevator, though, he sighed and shook his head. Of course it was cloudy.]

Even when I'm human God doesn't want to share His light.

Ah well.

[A walk along the beach would still be nice.

After a bit, he settled in the sand, watching the waves. He retrieved the flute he'd brought with him began to play, just taking a moment to let the music fill his head and chase everything else away. Sometimes a moment of peace was necessary.]

[After seeing Rinoa in Johnny's body, it only serves to reason that it was actually Johnny in hers. Hope you don't mind having your song messed up by an overexcited puppy launching himself at the back of your head!]

[That's certainly not what he expected. The song's cut off as Johnny puts the flute down beside him and reaches back to pick the puppy up.]

[He smiles, holding the 'puppy' close and scratching behind his ears.]

[Ky was on the beach as well. He could understand now why Sol preferred being here, instead of under the water. It was like the fire magic in him now itched when he was there.

Cloudy days above the water were a little better, although Ky could certainly agree that sunshine would be more welcome. It was interesting, how his magic being fire instead of lightning changed his perception of these things.

He couldn't help overhearing the comment, there, and it was natural to respond.]

I'm sure that's not why the sky is cloudy.

His light is everywhere.

[Oh...whoops, he hadn't even noticed the other person close enough to hear, it wasn't like he could smell him.

Still, he offered a smile to the stranger.]

But it's the sun I miss, specifically.

[Ky feels his senses a little heightened in the Gear body of Sol, which is...weird, and he's doing his best to ignore it.]

You can't normally see it, or just the fact that it's been raining all week?

Both, unfortunately. I can't normally see the sun, but this swap gave me an opportunity. Sadly, it appears it's an opportunity I'll be missing.

[Oh well, it had been centuries since he'd been warmed by the sun, he could wait longer.

Brown eyes trailed over the outfit the man was wearing, noting it looked very similar to Ky's.]

You...wouldn't happen to be Sol, would you?

Ky actually. Although this is Sol's body.

[It wasn't clothing that Sol usually wore, but Ky likes the Order uniform and there was one in the Nostalgia Nook that he'd found to be Sol's.]

[Not that he'd know Sol's acquaintances, really.]

[Surprise crosses his face for a moment before it's replaced by a genuine smile. He stepped forward, throwing his arms around Ky as far as they would go, at least. Having a smaller body was suffering.]

I'm in Rinoa's body.

[And Sol's body was substantially larger than Ky's -- only two inches but about 40 pounds.]

[He pulled away again and shrugged.]

Trying to see if there's any signs up here where the, ah, missing person -- Lloyd -- has gotten to or been taken.

And it's a little different, using fire magic underwater. Not the most comfortable.

Jacob, Bianca...and that Hubert kid. Now this other kid's missing...do you think it's all related?

It would seem a little strange not to be; I mean, I always considered this place to be safe. Well, safer than L.A.

I almost hope it is, because then we only have one person or group that we have to start.

At the same time...I don't want to have to find Lloyd's body.

[Squall was one of the lucky ones who was spared Vatheon's curse this time around. And he was up on the island today to clear his head.

It's then he spots Rinoa. Or, Johnny in Rinoa's body. Forgetting there was a curse happening, he takes a second go simply gawk at what "she" is wearing.]

Rinoa...!?

[Hearing Rinoa's name, Johnny looked up with a smile.]

Squall~!

[He recognized the man as who Johnny had deemed Rinoa's 'special someone' and he was about to say something about not being Rinoa when something occurred to him.

Why not have a little fun first?

If Rinoa wasn't going to make the first move on her own...]

[He wracked his memories for everything Rinoa had said about Squall. He didn't think he could keep this up forever, but he didn't want to blow it immediately either.]

[Argilla often likes to walk along the beach; and despite the murders and the curse, that hasn't changed. She enjoys feeling the water splashing beneath her feet-- the wet sand. Her favorite time to be here, of course, is when the sun is bright and shining-- the beautiful, yellow, radiant sun. But today unfortunately wouldn't grant her that.

She doesn't mind it, though. At least, not too much.

And seeing Rinoa's form walk out of the elevator, speaking with herself... she wears a somber expression on her face.]

I don't know about that...I think He loves his children very much. So much, that He doesn't have any to spare for those children that are no longer His.
