♚ visitation.
who: ciel & muraki.
where: vita 4-2.
when: early evening.
style: first.
status: closed.
[ he had said that he would come and visit. he's had the address for weeks. unfortunately, he hasn't been much for socializing as of late. being betrayed by the only person one dared to rely on tends to rather ruin one's mood.
he's seen the doctor only once, briefly, since then--when he'd come to pick up his aunt for the masquerade, which Ciel had lost any motivation he may have had to attend. he had behaved brusquely, to say the least, hardly even acknowledging the man's presence.
but the manor is driving him mad. it's only himself and his aunt now, but the walls are beginning to feel suffocating. there's unmistakably a presence missing, and being there, knowing that, thinking about that, just makes him angrier.
so here he is, getting out. Ciel looks less like Earl Phantomhive today and more like a half-dressed doll, a lopsided bow about his neck, uneven buttons on his vest (one left entirely undone near the collar of his oxford), and a stocking drooping loose down his calf from an unfastened knee-garter. the strings of his eye patch look as though he tied them in the dark while attempting to stand on his head.
nonetheless, he reaches up for the knocker on the door, and raps firmly three times, mustering his composure. ]

Neither natural, nor ordinary. Do you have any ideas, Kazutaka?
[ He leans forward just a little, his smile somewhere between challenging and secretive. ]
I'll tell you if you guess correctly.

I can't be sure as you might think me a lesser man of science for considering the possibility but...
[ Pressing his fingers together. ]
Something other worldly? Perhaps bordering on the paranormal?
[ Another smirk. ]
Though hmm... once, you denied believing in such things. Demons, perhaps.
/tags this foreverrrr
[ He doesn't chuckle, but his is smirking. ]
But it would be absurd for me not to believe in them when I hold a contract with one.
[ And there it is. ]
Sometimes lies must be told for the sake of keeping important secrets. I am not an honest person. But neither are you, doctor.
[ With that, he leans back in his chair, watching, waiting. ]
/all the backtagging to this looooog
Perhaps we do have far more in common that we were led to believe. Certain lies are quite necessary...
[ There's a faint glow in his right eye, just beneath his hair. It's been wanting to do that for a while. It pulses, just barely so. ]
You can only imagine the questions people would ask would they know of this little tidbit.

[ And he knows what it means when his own eye glows like that. He's incredibly curious. He'd always known that had some hidden mystery--and likely has more besides this one, anyway--and that he keeps his right eye out of sight is something Ciel had certainly taken notice of, given that he does the same. But it's icing on the proverbial cake, really, to see it behave so similarly to his own. ]
We have far more in common than we ever would have known, otherwise. But in so saying, I believe it is your turn to give information in kind. What about that eye of yours?

But he leans back in his seat, pressing his fingertips together as he considers the most proper way of phrasing it. It isn't like his contractee comes in the same physical form as Sebastian does. Last he checked, Sakaki was perfectly human.
Besides, his brand of demonic help comes in other ways. Other means. Other methods are employed to keep them bound. It isn't the promise of the doctor's soul. It's the promise of constant feeding in exchange for power. But the driving force remains the same between them. It's still revenge. It always has been. In a way, Ciel's just like him. They just have differing methods. ]
It was a tradeoff... something to seal the deal so to say. Proof of the protection I've received.
