Who: Cheria and
vatheon!
When: Right Noooow.
Where: At the laundromat in the bubble!
Style: Brackets, since my brain is bound to shut down horribly.
Status: SO VERY OPEN.
[ The locals have been working really hard to repair everything on the island after the recent events that had taken place there. As a result, Cheria had found herself wanting to do her part to help them as well ... they seemed to have more than enough people working to bring things back to normal up there, however, so she offered to take care of the laundry for them, since they were undoubtedly going to need some help washing clothes.
And, you know, it was made easier since discovering the laundromat and how that worked.
Still, she hadn't realized just how much people would take advantage of her offer. Cheria carried a rather heavy basket toward the laundromat now. There had been a couple of other heavy baskets before this, and she was sure there would be more where this came from. She finally makes it to a bench near the laundromat and sets the basket down, wiping the sweat from her brow and taking a short break before she started up with carrying it the rest of the way again.
If only she had some help ... it was a thought that crossed her mind, many times. But no, she was the one who had offered. She could definitely handle this herself!
... even if she really did want some help. ]
( ooc: If this isn't okay, let me know and I can change it!! Also, I'm going to be very slow with responses in general due to work kicking my ass. )

Frankly, she's shocked. Who saddled the poor girl with all of that?]
Hey, Cheria, you need some help over there?
no subject
That ... would be lovely.
[ She'll explain what's going on if you ask. :D; Even though she offered this, she will totally accept what help she can get. ]
/gives you an adorable horned boy
It was noisy, uncomfortably so, but as much as he wanted to run from it being inside made him realize what was bothering him about the strange-haired girl - she looked distressed.
Not overly so, but there was a frown to her lips. He was curious as to what was causing it, but he was still skittish enough to not approach her right off.
He moved close, trying to duck low and watch her over the top of one of the strange machines. Unfortunately his horns were going to give him away sooner or later.]

She finally sits down after putting those loads in, resting on one of the benches in the area ... but then she got the feeling she was being watched.
Cheria looked around, seeing nothing unusual ... but then she spotted something peculiar. Horns.
... Horns?
That was unusual indeed ... the owner of the horns didn't seem hostile, though, just curious. She gave a weary smile in his direction, then turned away and began resting again. ]
no subject
Maybe that was the problem...
His fingers fidgeted against the cool metal of the machine before he rose up to his full height, tilting his head at her curiously.]
That's a lot of clothing. Do the machines help you clean them?
no subject
They do! It's really very convenient.
[ He must have been from a world that didn't have access to this kind of technology ... kind of like her. She had only discovered this method of laundry through her time in vatheon. ]
They actually don't have these in my own world.
no subject
They don't? ... do you wash in rivers?
no subject
[ then again, in Sophie and Asbel's case, they'll probably never have to do their own laundry. butlers and maids are good at doing that for them. still, there was something satisfying about working at it herself. ]
This is really convenient, though.

[He watches her a little longer, moving around and getting closer to one of the actually running machines. He looks wary of them. So long as they're off he's alright, but looking at one that's currently washing, he wants to touch it but he's reluctant to do so.]
... you like the machines?
no subject
[ she sees how reluctant he is, and smiles gently. ]
It won't hurt you, I promise. See? I've gotten close to them many times now, and I'm not hurt at all.
no subject
He lets out a bit of a laugh. Okay... maybe technology wasn't so bad.]
no subject
she is going to mother you so hardCheria can't help but giggle a little with him as he realizes that the machines weren't bad. ]
See? Nothing bad at all.
[ she smiles a little at him. ]
I'm Cheria. It's nice to meet you.

She responds by running to catch up with her pokemon which is much faster than any human. ]
Sorry about that- oh, hi Cheria. Doing laundry out here?
no subject
Luxray, hi!
[ And then she looks up as Dawn approaches. ]
Yeah, a lot of it.
[ She looks back at the baskets of laundry. ]long story, but definitely a story.
no subject
[ It seems unlikely but why else would she be doing it? Does she live with that many people? Dawn's stumped over here. ]
no subject
No, not at all! I, um.
[ she laughs a little, sheepishly. ]
I offered to help the locals repairing the island by doing their laundry ... I didn't realize just how grateful they were for the offer.
no subject
Smiling, he looked up at her.]
Hello there. I don't think we've met before, have we?
no subject
No, I don't believe so ... are you new to Vatheon?
no subject
I find this place to be new and exciting. I also love the water too.
no subject
I've been here for a few months, myself. It took a little bit of getting used to, for me ... there are a lot of things about the city that took me by surprise.
no subject
Yes, I can understand that. What sort of things took you by surprise?

How about you? Do you have anybody from your own world here?

I like to meet new people also.
