It was hard trying to find a nice rabbit hole in this place. Vatheon was it? He couldn't remember but he did know it weren't Los Angeles. Or Miami...or actually anywhere he'd ever intended to head to. He'd stuck by the giant coral thing for a while before deciding things weren't too dangerous and heading out to explore the plaza a little.
"Whiiiile, strollin' through the park one day~. In da merry, merry month a may." He whistled the rest of the song before stopping and staring ahead. "Yeah, I know. It's January. But der ain't a lot that rhymes with January."

At least he hadn't met anything hostile? Still, he wasn't familiar with the primary species here, and his first impression was that deviations from that were few and far between. Those few stood out, too, Fox thought, as he saw something--someone--that did look familiar. Well, generally speaking.
"Uh. Hello, there," he called to the rabbit.
no subject
"What's up, fox?" The rabbit took in the confused look and figured this guy wasn't going to try anything funny. But his guard was up just in case; just because he wasn't home didn't mean he was going to let himself become a meal for some lowbrow predator.
Though this guy was at least a snappy dresser.

"Well, you tell me" Fox shrugged. "I just got here."
Er, sort of. It had been a few hours. That was enough to get his bearings, but he couldn't have been expected to acclimate. "I guess I'm lost, is what I'm saying."
no subject
"All I got is dis place is called Vatheon and we're on some sorta all expenses paid kidnapping."
Now if Fox was wondering where in Vatheon they were, well...Bugs wasn't exactly too good with directions in places he was familiar with.
"Der's a bunch of maroons runnin' around with real creepy smiles on. I'm a Toon and ain't seen anyone dat happy."
no subject
"Maroons?" he wasn't sure about 'Toons' either, but he didn't want to offend or anything.

He rubbed at the back of his neck, "I'm sorry. I'm not holding you up here, am I?"

It's a hunter/hunted thing. Fox isn't a threat but with the right questions, Bugs'll give up what he knows.
"...alrigh' mac, listen. Dis place is screwy so- who are ya?"
no subject
"The name's, uh, Fox," he said with some hesitation. Introductions always got him some strange looks. At best. "How about you?"
Where did he even get that carrot?
no subject
"This whole place is...creepy." He pauses for something he knows isn't going to come. It's a little disappointing actually...to not hear the constant music in the back ground.
"It's the folk dat actually live here. Not da poor saps that were brought here by...dat." He gestures vaguely at the coral. "Like you and me, doc."
no subject
He crossed his arms, and gave the structures a glance anyway. "How long have you been here?" he asked, after a moment.
no subject
He crosses one arm and leans his elbow on it, "Anyting else, Doc?" Fox wasn't exactly hitting Bugs' 'must help' button. Still the guy was in the same boat that the rabbit was so he couldn't just leave the poor kid alone.
"Look kid, der's a lot a guys around here like us. Prolly been here a lot longer. I ain't even got a rabbit hole ta call home yet."
no subject
So this guy was new after all. That figured. Still, even if he didn't really know anything more than Fox did, somehow he seemed a bit more...at home with all of it.
Kid? Eh. It wasn't worth it. Neither was figuring out if 'rabbit hole' was just an expression. "Oh, no. That should do it. Sorry to bu--uh, bother you."
no subject
Bugs blinks, glancing to his side automatically before shaking his head and looking back at Fox. "Bothering me?" He chuckles and waves his hand, "Oh brother. Don't worry doc. You woin't bother no body."
The bunny knows pestering, Fox was doing anything but that.

"My goodness! You're quite a large rabbit.
no subject
Oh. A mouse.
A lady mouse.
He easily lays down on his stomach to be more at level with her.
"Yeap. I'm a rabbit alrigh'." He doesn't touch the whole 'large rabbit' thing. Not yet.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Mrs. Brisby."
no subject
"Bugs Bunny. Nice ta meet ya, ma'am." He holds out his finger for a 'hand' shake. It was nice to see another animal around that didn't have sharp teeth (or a weapon).

He drums his fingers a little. The basics were answered for him from just being a nosy rabbit and flitting through the network.
"You prolly know more then I do. I have the where I am, but not much on why or who."

"So...we get ta be batteries? I don't think I like dat." His musing now, and tapping his head. Hey, thinking wasn't a very active action to show. He had to do it someway.
"Magic den. Like Hocus Pocus...but den why drag little ol' me here?" Thinking out loud is also something he does. Sorry, Mrs. Brisby.

"Eh, every picture needs a little comedy." He gestures at himself before looking her over, "And a mouse ta help out. I guess." There aren't a lot of mice at Termite Terrace.
"Der any places here I should avoid? I, heh, ain't much of a trouble maker. Usually."
no subject
Mrs. Brisby stops to think, trying to think of more 'forbidden' places.
"There's a thing called a... a ship, I believe? I don't remember if that's off-limits or not... I, ah, I suppose I don't explore too much, now that I'm thinking about it...
no subject
"Prolly better not to. This place ain't home, but I bet it's got a bunch of maroons runnin' around being annoyin'."

"A-a year?"
That...that wasn't very promising. A year is a very long time, even if he wouldn't age a day.
"You...I...and here...a whole year?"

"I'm kinda an actor, toots. Least...dat's what da academy calls it." Really it was much more complicated but he doesn't want to mess up the pretty mouse ladies head with fourth wall shenanigans.
