[Day 126] - piggyback rides are happen.

While waiting on Vanitas's reappearance, Roxas was spending a fair amount of time around the plaza. But, well before finding his would-be murderer, he was located by someone with different intentions entirely.

It had been a while since Roxas had seen Chibi, and even longer since he'd made that promise about giving him a ride. But in short order a reminder had been communicated (with the help, maybe, of a flying tackle), and they set to work figuring out how this feat was supposed to be accomplished.

That was how it happened that anyone in the middle district might spot Roxas carrying the god-puppy piggyback through the streets, looking quite a bit more cheerful than recent days. Because it was just way too hard to keep a straight face like this.

[Aw, it's okay Chibi! There may always be another chance!]

Well, he can understand us, for one thing. I've never heard of any dog being able to do that, at least not where I'm from. And he's pretty smart, especially for a puppy.

...No offense or anything, little guy.

I dunno, there's some worlds where animals talk and stuff.

[Roxas hefts the pup a bit on his back, wondering if maybe he can set him down while they talk. Sure, he's small but he's not exactly a feather either.]

[sonlight]

[He looks a little miffed at being called smart "for a dog," but he supposes he can let it slide...]

Roo? [Chibi scrambles a little as he's shuffled around- what's the matter? Is it time to get down already?]

[Rinoa's opinion of dogs is pretty high, so that's still quite a compliment! Or it was meant to be one :c ]

Oh, really? That sounds really neat!

Do you want me to give him a piggy back ride for a bit?

Um, if you want to.

[He tries again to glance at Chibi, but really he can't see his opinion of this suggestion.]

Or- I could just walk with you? Were you going someplace?

Arf! [That's a great idea! It would give Roxas a chance to rest, then they could trade back later or something.

Basically Chibi will go along with any idea that allows him to extend the time he's being carried around. |3 ]

He seems to be okay with it.

[Rinoa bends down and motions with her hands behind her back for Chibi to hop on.]

It'll give you a break, at least.

Okay.

[And Roxas crouches down to let Chibi off his back easier.]

[Chibi takes a moment to ruffle Roxas hair with his paw (I mean, dogs like headscritches, so everybody does, right?), then clumsily hops from one back to the other.

Clothing makes the exchange a little slippery! He's doing his best not to dig his nails into anyone's skin, so he has some trouble holding on.]

[Rinoa gets her arms behind her and does her best to hoist him up. It's a little awkward, admittedly, but she's pretty sure she's got a grip on him.]

You okay back there, little guy?

[Roxas straightens once Chibi's off his back, absently fixing his hair with one hand as he surveys the situation. Looks like they're managing.]

You got him?

[sonlight]

Arf! [He seems to be okay!]

[sorcery_fledgling]

Yup! We're good.

[Rinoa begins to walk again, her steps tentative and slow at first as she adjusts to having Chibi on her back.]

I've done a lot of things with dogs, but this is a first. But as long as he's having fun.

[Roxas walks alongside, sticking his hands in his pockets. He shoots a little smile up at Chibi before replying.]

He seems pretty good at that.

[sonlight]

[Darn right, he is! Chibi huffs, looking proud of himself.

Sometimes he thinks he should be the god of fun instead of the sun.]

That he does. But he should. He's still a puppy; they're supposed to have fun.

Anyway, what's your name? [She glances over at Roxas.] Should at least get to know one name between the two of you.

Big dogs aren't?

I'm Roxas. [His smile broadens a little since, well...] And that's Chibiterasu. [Sounds like you get both names.]
