[ The first thing she noticed upon gaining some fuzzy semblance of consciousness was that she had a pretty nasty headache. She stirred, slowly opening her eyes and seeing ... well, darkness. Almost all around her, darkness. The only light that shone was coming from the open door to the room she was in, which led out into a hallway. She could hear sounds coming from that hallway. Voices.

She closed her eyes again, lifting an arm and laying it over her eyes. Her head hurt, her mind was fuzzy, and she wasn't entirely certain of where she was.

What had happened ...?

And then, in a flash of ... something, it all came back to her. The attack, the fight, and the pain as Rin's sword was run through both her and Shing. The fear she had felt as she realized that she was going to die from that injury, and that Shing was probably going to die, too ...

It was as she thought of Shing that she sat up, suddenly; she opened her mouth to call out for him, and for Rin, but she was stopped by a sudden wave of dizziness adding to her already fuzzy mind, and her head flaring up again in pain. ]

S-Shing ... Rin?

[ She forced her eyes open, and looked around the room. She was in a hospital.

... Had she died? She was sure she had. ]

[Shortly after visiting with Shing, Yukari will of course pay a visit to Kohaku as well. Luckily, their rooms aren't too far off from each other, so it's not long before she is knocking on her door. She had to leave for a while though; she has no idea if Kohaku's expecting her or not, but either way, she supposes she'll find out soon.]

It's me, Kohaku. Sorry... um, are you awake?

[spiria]

[ She looks up at Yukari as she enters, her head still a little swimmy. Between her voice and what she can make out of her appearance, she manages a relieved smile. ]

Yukari ...

[While she didn't know Kohaku, it just doesn't seem fair to meet up with only Shing and not her. Besides, he mentioned how he couldn't protect her so she's got to be important to Shing somehow. She had seen her quite a few times on the SFC so...]

Um...Kohaku?

[Was this really the right thing to do though?]

[ She turns her head toward the voice calling her name; she didn't recognize the voice, nor did she recognize the girl who was standing at the door. She had seen her over the SFC a few times, maybe, but had never really interacted with her. Kohaku blinked a few times in confusion. ]

Hello ...?

[Mitsuhide is fully aware that death is not permanent in Vatheon.]

[That fact has not made this any easier. Not really. He spent two days in mourning, distraught, before attempting to kick some sense into himself and prepare for Kohaku's revival. Were it not for Lord Motochika, Mitsuhide's constant and reliable sense of strength, that might not have worked.]

[As it is, when Mitsuhide visits the hospital, he looks pale, tired and yet determined. The samurai is prepared for multiple visits until his sister (of a kind) returns, ready to support her when she opens her eyes and remembers what happpened. The pain of death... Mitsuhide cannot even begin to imagine what that is like, and it hurts his heart to even dwell on it. What will it be like for her, then?]

[He is rather surprised when he is told, on this, his first visit, that she is back and awake. Mitsuhide wastes no time in heading to her room, following the directions until he finally walks through her door.]

[Oh. Countless emotions immediately flare to life in his chest.]

Kohaku...

[Mitsuhide has not, in fact, cried much in his lifetime, but he is as close to it as he can usually get in front of another right now. Walking over, he smiles down at the young woman, checking her over visually.]

It is good to see you amongst us once more.

[His expression says a lot more than his words do. It is full of gratitude, relief, affection and the lingering pain he has felt.]

[Motochika doesn't call Mitsuhide a man of emotion for nothing.]

[ Upon hearing a familiar voice, and seeing a familiar figure walk into her room, Kohaku can't help but look up at him. She stares for a few moments, unable to say anything ... but then she returns his smile with a small one of her own, reaching her hand out for his. ]

Mitsuhide ...

[ Of all the people to see when she woke up from being dead, she was glad Mitsuhide was among them. She knew death and returning from it wasn't a smiling matter, but the sight of someone she did hold dear was enough to bring one to her face. ]

I'm glad to be back.

[ And she was, really. Most people don't get a second chance at life. She was fortunate. ]

[And then with a smile, Bianca walked over to her]

Hooray, you're awake! I wasn't sure if you were or not but I'm just glad that you are!

[Pause]

Um...you're Shing's friend right?

[spiria]

[ You're ... enthusiastic. But her eyes widen a little at Shing's name. She nods. ]

Yes, is he all right?!

[ She seems very urgent in asking this. ]

[Er...not really, he was more worried about not protecting you but...]

For the most part, he is! But I'm sure that he really wants to see you right now! So be sure to look for him when you get better!

[clumsyblonde]

[Colette had heard from Rin that Kohaku and Shing had died. So she'd spent Wednesday (after figuring out what would be five days from them dying) walking between their rooms, waiting for them to come back to life. She'd stopped knocking earlier, so when she hears Kohaku speak - through the door - she just opens it and rushes over to Kohaku's side.]

Kohaku... [Happy tears. Yep. She hadn't been awake when Zelos had revived, so she'd never had to wait for someone to come back to life before.]

[spiria]

I want to see him, too! I ... I need to see him!

[ Kohaku tries to get herself out of bed, but this only results in her falling over once she tries to stand. After not using her legs for a week, she's definitely going to have a hard time walking on her own again, at least for a little bit. ]

[spiria]

[ As soon as Colette had come into her room, she was surprised. She recognized the girl right away, of course, even if her head was still spinning from just waking up. Her expression softens, and she reaches toward Colette, pulling her into a small hug. ]

Colette ...

[clumsyblonde]

[[fond] looks smug to me hahahah... Hugs are good, even if she's careful about how hard she's holding onto the other girl. Wouldn't want to accidentally hurt her by squeezing harder than she should be physically able to.]

I'm really glad you're... [alive again.] I'm just really happy to see you again. The last time a friend of mine died, I'd fallen asleep before he came back to life so... [She tightens her grip on the other girl.]

[spiria]

[ totally not smug! Kohaku needs the hugs right now, though her initial thought toward giving the hug to Colette was that Colette needed it. she holds the other girl tightly. ]

I'm happy to see you, too ...

[ her voice is soft, almost inaudible. she really is happy to see you, Colette. just don't mind her if she's a bit overwhelmed about everything right now. ]

[clumsyblonde]

[still looks smug-- Maybe both of them need hugs. It's just a bit odd hugging someone first when they're in a hospital bed. Even if it's almost inaudible, Colette can still make it out. It'd have to be almost not even said for her to not, really.

Instead of choosing to say something again right then, she just nods and leans her head against the side of Kohaku's. It seems like dying would be something overwhelming, just like coming back from being dead.]

Ah, you shouldn't get up! You're still hurt!

[Bianca quickly runs over to Kohaku and helps her back on her bed] You should get better first, we won't want to make your injuries any worse!

[Mitsuhide takes her hand and squeezes it lightly. It's a reassuring gesture, this, and he feels a heavy weight on his chest grow lighter. His smile grows a little wider, thought the pain and concern does not disappear.]

You had me worried, my dear.

[And because focusing on her well-being is probably the best thing right now, for both of them, he adds:]

How do you feel right now?

Hey...

[Yukari enters, though she doesn't take her eyes off Kohaku. That's a "yes" to her being awake then, though Yukari really hopes it wasn't because of her.

She notices that her friend is still a little groggy.]

I... sorta heard about what happened. How do you feel?

[spiria]

[ Her automatic reaction was to say that she was fine, but she stopped herself from saying that. It was obvious she wasn't feeling that great, and she knew that if she said it, Yukari would know better. She slumped a little with a sigh. ]

Like crap.

[spiria]

But-!!

[ She wants to protest, but she knows this girl is right. ]

... I need to see him.

[ It was a weak protest. She wanted, so badly, to run toward Shing's room and just pounce him and hug him until the both of them felt better, because she knew he had to be feeling as awful as she did. She was right, though. She just woke up after being dead for lord knows how long. She was in no condition to do any of that right now, as much as she hated to admit it to herself. ]

[spiria]

[ Kohaku sighed, and, with his hand still in hers, leaned back against the pillows of her bed. How badly she really felt was starting to show, now that the initial happiness at seeing Mitsuhide had worn down a little. ]

...

[ She didn't want to talk about herself, really. ]

Do you know if Shing is awake? If he's doing okay?

[ Her mind was almost completely on him right now. Him and Rin. ]

[spiria]

[ Proud, maybe. It was overwhelming ... and even though she knew she should be focusing on herself right now, her thoughts were all about the well-being of Shing and Rin. She wanted to know if they were okay ... Shing, she knew he couldn't have been feeling all that great. And Rin ... she could only imagine what Rin was going through right now. ]

...

[ She scoots over a little bit in the bed, making enough room for Colette to sit if she needed it. ]

Here, this might be more comfortable ...

[ She managed a weak smile at her little sister figure, trying to keep up a smile for her despite feeling awful. ]

There are other ways! [Give Bianca a moment] You can talk to each other on the communicator or something!

That way, the both of you won't get hurt!

[That is answer enough, and as he expected. Mitsuhide knows something about what went on, thanks to Rin; there is likely to be a lot of fallout from this. He sighs softly, and squeezes Kohaku's hand a little tighter. Kohaku wants to talk to Shing, and Mitsuhide has a gut feeling that he, himself, will need to as well in time.]

[...come to think of it, he has to talk to Rin at some point, too. When he spoke to him, Mitsuhide had been too distraught to focus and really offer proper words of advice.]

I am afraid I do not know. Today was my first visit to the hospital, and it was you I heard of when I first stepped outside.

[His eyes slide closed.]

Do you wish for me to ask the nurses about him?

[Hey, big sis, it's surprise visitor time.

As in, here is Maka poking her head in since...she heard Kohaku was here and even if she doesn't talk to her much it'd be nice to be able to give Rin an update at least.]
