A Champion dives in.

Who: Wallace and you!
When: July 24th, evening.
Where: Wandering through the plaza.
Style: Brackets for me to start; but can move onto prose.

[Wallace shook his hair as he often had water dripping from his hair all the time. His clothes were also soaking wet. A smile crossed his lips as he never minded a bit of water on his purple pants and white jacket. A similar sensation but the place was not similar. It was like nothing he'd ever seen before. An underwater world.

He'd found the communicator that he'd been given. A curious object which he'd yet to master. Perhaps it worked like a Poke nav back in Hoenn? He looked around and squinted. Where there any people about that could help him? He was full of questions and enquiries.]

Where in Hoenn am I? Well, not Hoenn that's for sure. Excuse me? [He wondered if any of the locals heard him.]

[Well it seemed like that time when more people were arriving in Vatheon, based mostly on the broadcasts over the SFC. So hanging out near the plaza was something Cheren thought was a good idea, just on the off-chance that someone he knew--Hilda, Hilbert, N, someone, anyone from home--showed up.

This teal-haired man certainly wasn't one of those three, but he looked familiar for some reason. Cheren couldn't really put his finger on why, per-se, but he did. The mention of 'Hoenn' catches his attention, too.]

You've got that right, this isn't in Hoenn. This is Vatheon, and it's pretty far from home.

Wallace spun around in a flash as he fixed his eyes on the young man. "Oh, hello there. I didn't expect someone to speak to me first time. I am a little lost. Vatheon, you say? Hm, that is very far from Hoenn. In fact, I have no clue where this place is." He shrugged but kept a calm smile.

"It's nice to meet a friendly face around here, Mr....?"

This man from Hoenn seemed surprisingly okay with this whole thing, compared to other newcomers he could recall. Perhaps it was because he didn't understand the situation he was in, or perhaps he simply wasn't bothered by it.

"Cheren. I'm a Trainer from Nuvema Town in the Unova region," he supplied. "And it's natural you don't know where Vatheon is. As I've said, it's far from home. I'm not sure where it is specifically, but I've been told we're certainly not in our home world."

"Unova? Nice to meet you, Cheren. A Trainer, hm? A good choice. I understand that it's underwater. How curious." He looked above and around. The whole place fascinated him thoroughly. "Have you been here long, Cheren? Also, do Pokemon live here in Vatheon?" He wondered that question.

The underwater part was certainly hard to miss and he was glad he didn't really have to explain that to Wallace. Especially because his explanation would consist of 'look up, do you think that's the sky?'

"I've been here for a while, yeah. A few times, actually, but only around two this time," he answered, fully prepared to have to explain that.

"No, there are no Pokemon in Vatheon unless they're owned by a Trainer. Not that there are very many of us here, either. Most people don't know what Pokemon are."

"Oh, I see. So Pokemon don't exist within this world? How curious. I have always existed where Pokemon are around me. I guess that is the same for you within Unova." He smiled. "I am curious as to what Pokemon you have, Cheren. That's if you don't mind sharing."

"I don't mind at all. Most people from other regions are unfamiliar with Unovan Pokemon, so I'm used to it by now," he replied, as he reached for the Pokeballs on his belt. Opening them up, his team appeared in a flash of dazzling bright light: Gigalith, Unfezant, Liepard, Simipour, Haxorus, and Serperior.

"Of course, I'd like to see the Pokemon you have, as well. Just out of curiosity. Pokemon from other regions do exist in Unova, but they're much rarer"

He nodded. Wallace's eyes widened as he saw Cheren's range of Pokemon. He had never seen any of them before and it fascinated him. "Such beautiful Pokemon. Oh, you have so many types too. Flying, Normal, Water, Dragon, Grass..." He beamed.

"Of course." Wallace swished his cape as he let all his Poke balls into the air. Out came Milotec, Ludicolo, Luvdisc and a Wailord."

Milotic, Ludicolo, Luvdisc, and Wailord. All Pokemon from the Hoenn region, and as such, relatively difficult to find in most of Unova. Needless to say, Cheren is very interested in them. That was the part about Vatheon that he actually liked, meeting the Pokemon that Trainers from other regions owned.

"Well, balanced teams tend to fare better against a variety of Trainers, Gym Leaders, and Elite Four Members. So long as you can cover the weaknesses of other Pokemon, you shouldn't have any issues. ...That's what I think, at least."

He nodded. "Indeed. I am glad you appreciate my Pokemon, Cheren. It is good to see each other's team and analyse I believe. The harmony between trainer and Pokemon exists as one. Like a cool breeze riding the ocean wave." He smiled.

It was time for new arrivals once again, something this rather androgynous samurai had come to expect each month. And once again, Kenshin frequented the plaza in hopes to see a familiar face, roaming the area in full samurai armor with a thermos full of sake.

That didn't mean he wouldn't greet an unfamiliar one, especially one who had reached out for help. "This is certainly not Hoenn. It is a land called Vatheon, a city beneath the waves of the sea."

Wallace turned around to face whoever was talking to him. "Oh, hello there. A city beneath the waves of the sea? How fascinating. I have always loved the sea ever since I was a boy." He smiled. "May I ask how long you have been here? You seem to know quite a bit about it."

"It is indeed an interesting place," Kenshin nodded. "I have resided here for over two years." It really had been an interesting two years, meeting people, seeing them disappear and return to their homes. He'd fought off invaders and made a home in one of the houses here. Interesting stay.

He nodded. "It seems like an underwater paradise but I'm sure it doesn't come without its dangers. I am curious to know what secrets this place holds." He looked at the other man. "I am Wallace. What is your name?"

Dangers. That was an understatement. "This place does hold some interesting dangers and secrets," Kenshin nodded. "I am Kenshin, lord of Echigo."

"Nice to meet you, Kenshin. Or shall I call you Lord Kenshin?" Wallace looked at the man and did a small bow. If he was a high class of person, Wallace wanted to respect that. "I am Wallace. Champion of the Hoenn Region."

Kenshin offers a polite bow in return. "A pleasure, Champion Wallace. Call me whichever you prefer." Titles seemed to have little impact here. Most simply called him Kenshin, unless they knew of his reputation. In that case, they tended to stray away from him.

"Oh, just Wallace is fine." He nodded with a smile. "No need for formalities. Kenshin then. If that is what you find most comforting." Wallace was intrigued. He'd not met a lord before.

"Very well then, Wallace-dono," Politeness was just his nature. "Kenshin is perfectly acceptable. Echigo is far from here. I have no need to demand any title."

He nodded. "Thank you. Alright then, Kenshin. How long have you been here in Vatheon?"

"Over two years," Kenshin replied. The exact time seemed to slip away from him as time started blending together here. "Have you been here long?"

"Two years? That's quite a long time. I've just arrived here." He scratched the back of his head. "What does one do in a place like this?"

"Indeed it has been some time," Kenshin agreed. "There is much to do here, depending on what suits your fancy. I find the shops here have good food and even better sake."

He nodded. "The shops? Oh, I want to visit those. Perhaps I can find a new outfit to wear here. I want to blend in with the colours and sounds of this underwater world." He smiled.

"There are several clothing stores here," Kenshin offered. There was even one which had more traditional Japanese clothing, perfectly suited for the elegant samurai. The others he hadn't visited.
