01 - bringing home a stray dog
Who: Kimblee and Roy (and Riza if she wants to join in)
When: July 1st
Where: Around the Plaza and then down to Lower District
Status: Closed
Style: either one, I'll follow!
Once Kimblee was finished with the plaza, Roy led the man toward the shops around that area, pointing out the stores which sold clothing, a tailor, the bakery he'd learned about and the cleaners.
When that was finished he led the way to the lower district to the place he'd found for him and Riza, heading up to unlock the front door and lead the way inside.

Even the houses, he quickly found out. So this was where Roy and Hawkeye were staying? It wasn't bad, not at all.]
This is nice.

It feels rather larger inside than it actually appears outside. I still haven't actually figured out exactly how every thing works in it.

Though she did pause on seeing Kimblee, eyes widening just a fraction. Another from home but not exactly a person she wanted to see.
No matter, she did her best to mask her surprise.] ...Major Kimblee. I gather you arrived a short while ago?

[Oh.
Well. Hi there. He was wondering when he'd see you, seeing as how Roy did say he and Hawkeye were living together.]
--ah, yes. Mustang was the one who found me. It's good to see you again, miss Hawkeye.

And upon Riza's appearance, he moved from Kimblee's side toward her's. He managed to mask most of his concern over her being so up and about, but then he had made an effort in the kitchen to arrange it so she could be independent without putting too much strain on her back. The last thing he wanted was the burns to get worse instead of better because she tried to move around too much while they were healing.
At least when he spoke, it was in a lower tone meant for just her.]
How is your back doing?

It's fine. [In Riza's opinion anyway. Her gaze was more on Kimblee though.] I see....It's good to see you again, sir.
[You'll have to forgive her if the smile is a little forced. More so given that not long ago for her, you forced her to face a few truths she really hadn't wanted to.] Sit. I'll get you both a drink if you wish.

Miss Hawkeye, if you've injured your back you really should be taking it easy instead of putting more strain on it, even with Mustang here to help you. It'd be unfortunate if you ended up doing serious damage that couldn't be fixed by a doctor. But I do have a small question regarding that; what happened?
no subject
It took a minute but he managed to speak, but not to answer that question.]
I'll get us both drinks and something to eat.
[And with that, he turned away from both of them to head for the kitchen. Anything right now just to not have to deal with that question.]

But the last thing that she wanted was for Kimblee - an alchemist - to find out just what was on her back, burns aside. She'd heard the rumors about him - it wasn't hard when it came to news about state alchemists - and she was positive that exposing the remains of the array would be foolish at best and bring incomprehensible devastation at worse.
She would - could not allow such a thing to happen.] I simply strained my back not long after I arrived.
Have you seen the 'TV' yet? [DISTRACTION TIME.] It's quite the marvel really.
no subject
For now.]
I haven't seen a lot of things before coming here. This whole city is pretty fascinating from anybody's viewpoint I'd say. [Especially the communicators. He'd be sitting down with it later to mess around with it.] What is it?
no subject
Well, they did have sandwich meat, he'd make sandwiches for the three of them to eat with the chips he'd already seen in the living room.
Once that was completed, he carried the plate of sandwiches out first, sitting it on the table by the couch and then returned to the kitchen to retrieve the drinks. Inasmuch as he might be tempted to pull out liquor for this, the drinks were simply juice. Sitting Kimblee's drink on the table beside the plate, he seated himself on the couch to watch the other two quietly.]

Actually, she hoped it never came up again.] Indeed and the barrier itself... It's almost alchemy in what it does. Energy from us in exchange for keeping water out, though I'm sure there's far more to it than that.
[Here, have the remote Kimblee.] It's much like the movies, actually, only you control what you see with that. It also allowed you to adjust the volume and offers a greater selection to chose from than what's simply on the screen. I'm not sure how many channels we have, though.

Vatheon Shore.
What. Why are people orange on this program what even.
Yeah. He's just going to quietly pass the remote back and pinch the bridge of his nose. Roy, Riza, what is wrong with you two. Seriously. This is weird. Don't even get him started on the actual voices.]
Please tell me every film isn't as ridiculous as this one.
/LATE ORZ
I'm not sure of the reasoning as to why we are underwater myself, so maybe asking of some the others would be a useful move. Though, as far as being a power source goes, I personally don't notice any ill-effects.
