[The initial dismay of being a normal human is starting to wear off, though Tiir is still by no means okay with it. Merely a change of attitude—from "screw you, Vatheon" to "damn it, I guess I'm really stuck with this".

So yeah, he's still pretty unhappy. Whoops.

To make matters worse, he's run out of groceries sooner than he expected, despite having picked up some at the beginning of the week (then again, maybe shopping while inwardly cursing everything might not have been the best idea—). On the... vaguely bright side, he is, in fact, getting tired of staying cooped up in his apartment. As much as he hates being human, he also hates being idle.

And so, another trip to the grocery, it looks like—]

[It just so happens Serph is passing through at the same time. He's hungry and it's in the way he's used to -- it's strange not feeling hungry for people. The frequency in which he gets hungry this week is almost disconcerting.

When Serph sees Tiir, though, he approaches. It's been a while since he's seen him.]

Tiir. How are you?

[It doesn't look like Tiir has been affected by the curse. Serph's tattoo on his cheek, however, is conspicuously missing.]

[Tiir notices the missing tattoo, certainly, though he's not quite sure what Serph hasn't ended up this week.

He manages a light smile.]

Ah... Serph. I've been better, though I suppose I could be worse as well.

[That's some very positive thinking, Tiir.

It's been a bit of a trying time, but nothing terribly horrible. Serph nods.]

I've been well.

[His stomach gives a loud, unhappy growl, though.]

...I'm not used to needing food so frequently.

He blinks, his irritation over his current state forgotten in favour of his curiosity. While the wording's a bit vague, if Serph's cannibalism is anything like his own, then it shouldn't actually affect his stomach...]

Before we gained our Atma, we did not need to eat at all.

[It had been so weird finding out people ate things other than people.]

The food here doesn't give us sustenance, but it's... interesting.

I eat until I feel full, but I feel hungry within hours.

You honestly don't know? Yes, that's entirely normal. You need at least two to three meals a day.

Serph nods. He'd enjoy hanging out with Tiir. But he tilts his head.]

What are groceries used for?

To cook with, of course. Though I suppose you wouldn't know if you don't normally eat like this...

Well, not necessarily. There are plenty that can be eaten the way they are. However, some food are only safe or taste better when cooked.

If not prepared properly, they can make others ill. It's not a problem for me, personally, but it's something to keep in mind for others.

Serph nods in understanding, before turning his attention to the aisles of groceries.]

[A pause as he thinks, looking at the aisles, before he turns to Serph.]

That reminds me—what have you been eating?

[Because now that he thinks about it, has Serph been getting proper nutrition...]

[OH OH HE KNOWS WHAT BREAD IS! ...No clue on what eggs are, though.

Serph thinks hard over Tiir's question. What were all those dishes called again...?]

...Mostly ramen?
