Fai was heading to the shops to spend the day relaxing. The past couple days he had woken up in the morning feeling a little under the weather, which was rather odd for the upbeat vampire. He didn't think much about it, figuring it might be a trick of the bubble. If it could turn people into strange creatures, it also could have the power to make a vampire feel ill.

After moving around for awhile, he would feel slightly better. That day he had decided to finally venture out and get some lunch. But as he traveled that feeling of weakness washed over him again. He reached out and placed his hand against the side of the building he was next to as he tried to wait it out.

"I wonder if I've been pushing myself to do too much lately.." As he stood there a slow realization hit him. There was one activity he had not done recently that was vital to his continued survival.

"I can't just do that..I need..maybe the store.." He knew there was other vampires in this world and that they had managed to survive using other means. It was something he should have thought about before that point but Fai wasn't filled with any sort of blood lust. He was still getting used to the fact he had to survive with out Kurogane around. He didn't want to have to drink the blood of others unless it was absolutely necessary. But now he knew why he felt rundown. It had become necessary.

He turned towards the direction he knew a store was at, but it wasn't going to happen. His legs buckled and he fell forward.

[For once, Asato wanders alone in the city, something he is still hesitant to do, fearing to stumble onto Muraki.

Focused on the windows of the shops around, he does not notice Fai until the young man falls into his arms.]

Eeppss !!

[Fai notices he's been caught and that golden eye opens. He looks up at Asato rather wearily.]

Ah..I'm sorry..[There is a smile but it is clearly weakened.]

[Johnny knew Fai was in the area, he could always smell the other vampire when he they were close enough to each other. He could also sense how weak he was. Maybe it was from being a pure-blood, but he could tell Fai was in trouble.

The older man stopped what he was doing and dissolved into a swarm of bats, flying to where he saw the blonde on the ground, and reforming to kneel beside him.]

Fai! Fai, what's wrong?

[He was certain he knew, but he wanted to hear it.]

[Fai heard the familiar voice and the golden eye opened slowly. He hadn't realized he had fallen until he hit the ground. He turns his head towards Johnny and slowly starts to push himself up.]

Johnny-san..I just felt a little weak..that's all.

[He felt embarrassed. He hasn't fed since coming to the bubble. That was a dangerous choice to have made. How could he admit that to a fellow vampire?]

[Johnny frowned and pulled the other vampire closer, wraping one arm around the slighter shoulders.]

How long's it been since you last ate?

[Some of that playful smile pushed through the weakness.] I ate breakfast this morning. Some tasty pancakes.

[He knew that isn't what Johnny wanted to know but he couldn't help but try and put off the truth. He knew what he had to say in regards to that would probably upset the other vampire.]

_{[Morte is just walking around, looking as bored as ever. She yawns a little.

Today is just going to be another boring day in this place...

Oh, is that Fai? He looks like he's going to fall any moment now --wait he is falling! Morte quickly runs over trying to catch him.]}

Hey, what's wrong? What happened?

[Fai collapses against her and it takes him a moment to realize he hasn't hit the ground but is instead in someone's arms. He lifts his head a little wearily and somehow manages to smile still.]

Morte-san..I'm sorry. I didn't mean to fall on you.

[Why wasn't he surprised? His grip tightened slightly and he pushed the collar of his shirt back with his free hand.]

It's been a while, hasn't it? Drink from me, you'll get more strength from my blood than from human blood; especially the stuff you'll find at the store.

Not since I arrived..[Fai let that smile fade as he looks at Johnny's neck. He's never drunk from a person's neck before and it worries him a little. His eye changes into the cat-like slit but he continues to hesitate.]

You just..want me to bite you?

[Kurogane had always been the one to start things, cutting his arm to let the blood flow. But this is what normal vampires do, right? He needed to get used to new things..]

Is that all you've got to say?

_{[Morte glares at him a little, then sighs.]}

So? Mind answering my question? Or do you need me to repeat it?

[Fai tries to stand up straight again but his body just won't have it. He gives up after a moment and looks down rather defeated.]

I guess you could say I haven't been taking the best care of myself..

No kidding. I've never seen you looking as bad as this.

_{[Morte grabs Fai's arm and starts dragging him away from this place.]}

You won't get any better if you stay here, you know?

[Fai tends to put up a strong front. But he can't keep it up right now. He follows after her.]

No..I won't. I need to get to a store. There is something I need.

[He couldn't help the flinch at hearing how long it had been. How had Fai not gone crazy by now? No wonder he'd collapsed.]

That's how it usually goes, yeah.

...you can have my arm if you'd rather, but you have to eat.

_{[She stops and looks at him.]}

What? A medicine or something?

Something like that...I was told I could find it in the stores. I have to at least try. [He doesn't want to say what..though he knows once you see what he needs you'll understand anyway.]

It's alright..I can do it this way. [At least he hopes he can. He brings his mouth to Johnny's neck but doesn't bite quite yet.]

I'm sorry about this..

[He worries that someone will see, that all his careful hiding will be for nothing. But then, does it really matter if people know? Will they see him differently? Needless worrying..but then again, Fai had that tendency.]

_[sigh.]

Fine, fine. We'll go and get it now, alright?

Thank you. [He has no idea where it will be located in the store but he has to give it a shot. And he can't exactly ask for it..Fai just hopes he can hold out long enough to find it.]..and I'm sorry for this.

_{[Yeah, yeah. No need to thank her. She is doing it only because leaving you on the street to die wouldn't be okay with her.

Why are you apologizing to me? You should apologize to yourself. How did you even end up like this?

There is something I need in my life to survive..but it is something I hesitate to have. It was easier when I was traveling because I had someone who made sure I took it, but here...it just became an afterthought. [Mostly because he didn't want to think about it.]

[Johnny wrapped his other arm around Fai to better support him and braced for the feeling of fangs digging into skin. After centuries of experiencing it, he was fairly used to the feeling, but that didn't mean it was painless.]

There's nothing to apologize for. I don't want you to starve. Besides....what are friends for, right? [He smirked, even though Fai probably couldn't see it.]

Don't you care about yourself at all?

Well, never mind. Let's hurry up and get whatever you need.

_{[before you die here.]}

[There was a small smile before Fai sinks his teeth into Johnny's neck, being as careful as possible. As that first taste of blood fills his mouth the vampire blood inside of his body seems to come to life, craving more of that which it had been denied for months. That golden eye slowly closes as he begins to drink.]
