Late the previous night, Sora had sent out a message specifically to Roxas. All it said was, Meet me at the elevator at 1030 and didn't provide much of an explanation after that.

It was now 10:28 and that's exactly where Sora was waiting. He'd only managed to go up the island once with Kairi. It had been nice knowing a place like this existed, though there really wasn't much else they could do being stuck in a bubble as they were. Still it was just another semblance of home that Sora enjoyed, and he wanted to share it with Roxas. He'd have asked others to come too, but he wanted some time alone with his other. For almost anyone else, he would see them once he returned home, but for him and Roxas it was different.

Sora tapped his foot a bit as he waited.

"Ugh." Sora groaned a bit and shook out his hair. It took him a moment to realize the soft think underneath him was actually Roxas, and then he was laughing.

"I think we should call that one a draw." He moved off of his other and sat in the sand beside him still grinning.

"Probably," Roxas agreed, sitting up once Sora got off of him. He rubbed at his head where the stick had hit him, and with his other hand he picked up one of the broken pieces lying near him.

"Maybe we should learn how to go easy."

"Where's the fun in that?" Sora said with a grin and a laugh. He picked up his own broken piece and gently tossed it to the side.

"That was still fun though." It had been awhile since he'd just fought for fun, and with wooden swords no less.

"Yeah, well... Otherwise we're gonna have to find better swords," Roxas pointed out, gesturing with his broken end before similarly tossing it away.

He stood up, brushing as much sand off himself as he could, and then offered a hand up to Sora.

"Or we could use our keyblades." But that might be a little more serious than fun if they wanted to.

He smiled up at Roxas and reached out to take his others hand. There was something heartwarming about being able to do something like that.

"Maybe sometime," Roxas considered as he helped Sora to his feet. "I wouldn't mind a real rematch."

"Yeah!" Sora's grin lit up even more. It'd be nice to fight Roxas again when the stakes weren't nearly so high.

He stretches a bit. "Maybe, not right now though. I think one fight is enough for the moment."

"Yeah." The rematch would definitely come later. And between the tickle attack and this little sparring match... "I've got enough sand in my clothes."

"You can say that again." Sora laughed. "I'll probably be finding sad for awhile." And that was after a good shower.

"You wanna just walk for a bit?"

"Sure."

They had come a little ways up the beach from the water during their fight, and Roxas walked back down to it. Cold though it was, he liked the feel of the water running over his feet and the wet sand between his toes.

Sora felt very much the same, and after awhile the water didn't really feel so bad at all. It was refreshing.

He didn't say much as they walked just taking in the moment.
