With everyone worried about the happenings with the coral, the ranger couldn't help but try and get her mind off it. Because once people start talking, it might turn into a big mess and guess what happened last time someone decided to pull something like that.

But what started to gnaw at Madison was the fact that she had been here since the end of December and summer was already coming but she hasn't really done anything to be useful around this place. She really needed something to do...something that would make her feel useful for a change and not into the slump before the Master was defeated. So there was only one thing she could think of:

Get the broom Sirius gave her and go for a ride.

Which is what she is doing now...just flying for the moment and trying to find a moment of peace.

[Late mornings were nice at first, but eventually they meant that Fox's sleep schedule was hopelessly shifted. Bad enough that he was spending days in a dull haze, now he wasn't sleeping either.]

[The park was as solid a place as any to walk and wind himself down. It wasn't too long ago that he wouldn't have dared come out in the city like this, this late. But now it just seemed peaceful. Funny how that went.]

[It was a hard time to wind down if there was someone who decided to speed by Fox without even knowing he was there; because that's what Maddie was doing right now.

[Fox puts up an arm against the gust and lets out a call before he could think better of it.]

H-hey!

[What exactly was he looking at? It was moving too fast, and it was too dark to tell.]

[She slows down and tries to look for whoever she had hit(?), going lower in order to spot them.]

[Oh. He hadn't expected anything to come back. Was that...a human? What was it doing in the air?]

That was...you just now? Er. What are you doing?

[Flying.]

Um, yes it was. I'm sorry if I hit you or anything like that.

Oh, no. You just, uh. Startled me, is all...

[There was a beat, and Fox couldn't help but stare.]

I don't wanna be rude, but how exactly are you, uh....?

Flying?

[She smiles a bit as she touches down on the ground, getting off the broomstick.]

It's alright, I'm going to get the feeling a few people might ask me if they see me. It's magic actually.

Magic? The broom?

[Fox glances from that to the human. That...actually didn't sound so different from the magic he was used to. Kind of a weird way for things to make sense.]

Is it really safe to be on that thing in the dark?

If you know where you're going. I make sure I'm careful while flying around.

[No crazy stunts for this girl here unless emergency.]

[Fox would not have even put riding-flying-brooms-in-the-dark under the umbrella of "careful" but it wasn't really any of his business.]

It's Fox. Heh, I'd say it's nice to meet you, [He glances around briefly] but to be perfectly honest this whole thing has been kind of strange.

The whole living in a bubble under the sea?

[It still freaks her out from time to time.]

[Fox laughs.]

Well that too, but I was talking more about the flying brooms and narrowly avoided collisions.

[Johnny wasn't fretting. Nope, not at all. So he certainly wasn't out for a walk to clear his mind. He just liked walking, that was all.

Besides, if he hadn't, he would have missed the sight of a flying Maddie. He waved to her as she came by.]

[It was tempting to fly past the vampire quickly and see how fast she can go around him and make him dizzy. Actually, last time he said something like that to her, he ended up lying on the floor.]

It was one of those nights, where Denzel found himself contemplating. He found himself walking out of his house and taking a scroll as he continues to theorize about the fading glow of the coral. How time they all had, what was causing that - and, "Was that a broom?!"

Why yes it was a broom! And some girl was flying on it!

"Excuse me. Excuse me... Are you a witch?!" Wasn't a bad thing after all.

The man sounded freaked out as she moved towards him.

"Hey, are you ok? You sound kind of hurried there."

"I'm alright. Just interested is all. Yes." After all, magic.

Interested or just plain crazy? Madison isn't sure but is keeping her distance a bit because Crocker kinda screams crazy body language.

"What would you like to know?"

"Well for starters where did you get that?"

"Someone gave it to me."

"Gee, that's helpful. Speaking of which, that was sarcasm."

She's mentally facepalming.
