[ it was the middle of the night, but she didn't care. she needed fresh air.
it's finally starting to hit her that things really aren't the same in this place. Bianca and Hilbert don't know her - and while the former is definitely treating her the same... the latter is pushing her away, almost like he hates her. a friend being that way so suddenly was a shock, and one that she was in no way ready for.
so after their little chat, there was no way she was sleeping peacefully in her room so soon. she's out in the main plaza, and she seems to be the only one around. this is where it become handy to be a trainer - your friends are always with you.
she takes out a Poke Ball, and the Whimsicott in it comes out and tilts her head questioningly. ]
I just need some company. You okay with that?
[ and the Pokemon nods, jumping into her arms and nuzzling closer to her as they make their way to a bench. she sits, and the Whimsicott settles into her lap.
nothing to do now but think. ]

Wandering around like this in the middle of the night, as if a map would float out of the sky and turn him in the right direction. It's unreasonable as well, the wiser choosing for morning as opposed to running around in darkness. But he couldn't just leave it at that. He said something wrong and his guilt was taking a pound at his head. So, into the night he went. Most likely to end up uselessly wandering around until the light of day, but—
Catching the peculiar sight of a Whimsicott ahead, he instinctively reaches for his own Poke Ball. 'Still there', but he releases his own and allows her to happily make her way towards the two. Hilbert follows, sitting down with a brief moment of silence.]
Hey there.

well. not much that she can do. ]
Hey.

Noooope, that's stupid. Leaning back into the bench, he heaves a sigh and stares into their "sky."]
Look, I'm sorry for that.
no subject
Don't be. I was just being stupid - it's all fine.

Now you're echoing what I've already said before!

He finally leans back again, checking up on the two Pokemon playing around as if bedtime hardly matters.]
Right, that's easier.
[The corners of his lips threaten his own smile, but beaten by the reminder of what brought him here.] I wasn't kidding before, this is a strange place. Letting people peek into dreams, that's just... just very strange.

but his words keep her from smiling as well. ] I've seen dreams before with my Musharna's dream mist... but that was totally different.

[Blame Hilbert's inner feelings for cute Pokemon and the fact he acts so motherly, now that he gives the Poke Ball on his belt a light pat. The little girl needs her rest too.]
I also suspect you're ahead of me, cleeeearly. I haven't actually met you yet, I think. It seems everyone single one of you recognizes my face.
no subject
and she nods. ] When you get back home, go to the Battle Subway in Nimbasa City. That's always where we met, so I guess it'd be the same.
no subject
But, for Pete's sake, she's a girl.]
Not even the same eye color... And ah! Right! I went right by that and headed somewhere else first. Um... the ferris wheel? [There's a strain in his voice, yet questionable to see if it's ringing any bells.]

[ and that gets a knowing smile. ] Oh yeah. I know which one you mean.

[He laughs, easing into friendliness. She's not so bad after all, he might actually have to rethink his earlier behavior and extend his apologies.] And yeah, there. That's where my time stands still. N walking away with a strange idea as enemies.
And hey, we might have been minutes from meeting each other!

[ she gives his arm a joking punch, along with her own smile. now things are starting to go back to how they were. ]
You're right! I guess it's only a matter of time, y'know?
no subject
A year, actually. Hopefully I remember what I planned to do whenever this place decides to send me back.
no subject
[ at least, she hopes so. ]
no subject
['MAYBE', he wants to say. But gotta stay hopeful!]
Patience, that's it. [He looks up, still a little boy looking for stars.] Patience.
