Vatheon had introduced Mitsuhide to many unusual things. The sheer variety of technology and culture that could be found in the underwater city was incredible, revealing only the smallest facts about the universes each had originally came from. It was a source of endless fascination for the young samurai, sparking off the part of him that wanted to know.
This city, the one that had seemingly replaced their island, had brought that desire to life in a big way.
The sheer scale of it was a lot to take in on its own, considering the architecture in their original time period. Each skyscraper seemed like an adventure waiting to happen, and every time he and Motochika turned a corner there was something new to look at.
Right now, Mitsuhide was peering intently at one of the abandoned cars. He did not actually know what it was, having never seen one before, but it was obvious at least that it was some form of transportation. The wheels were indication enough of that. But how did it work? Humming softly, he smoothed a hand over one of the windows.
"Curious..." he said softly, glancing over at Motochika. "Do you think these long, wide roads were made to accommodate these machines?"

"Presumably."
Mitsuhide's current intense curiosity was echoed in Motochika. He walked over to join the younger samurai, then bent to look into the window, intent upon scruntinising the interior.
After a minute he stepped back with a considering look on his face. He slipped off the strap that held his shamisen upon his back, took the instrument in hand and pulled his bachi from where it was stashed in his obi.
"Stand back, Mitsuhide."
The keyhole was no use without a key to hand, but the glass was easily removed.

"It is abandoned, I suppose," he said softly, wrapping an arm around his stomach. "Make sure you do not get hurt by any of the glass yourself."
The young samurai had considered protesting, but this really was a ruin, and the car thus belonged to nobody. Not anymore, anyway. Mitsuhide briefly tried to picture an occupent sat on the seat, but it was hard to envision the sort of person who might have lived in this city.
