[It's not uncommon for new arrivals in Vatheon to be disoriented. Most are, after all. David is particularly ruffled, having no idea where he is but able to see that he's in a human city of some sort. Hopefully there were at least a few animals around... bringing his fingers to his lips, he whistled, trying to call on them.]

[ One, that was a loud whistle. Two, that was his conversation partner that tore off, telling him that... a guardian needed ... help?

Not something he really understood, but curious - and he would like his conversation to continue, thank you!, Duke is following that particular squirrel to the square. ]

[David brightens when he sees the squirrel, waving to it as it trots up to him.]

Hello, friend! I was hoping you could tell me where I am? This doesn't look much like the forest.

[ That... is a curious little person. Duke studies them from a few paces away.

But the squirrel doesn't understand what duke thinks is probably what the small man is referring to – chattering on about the people-place. ]

Forest is another bubble – location as a whole is Vatheon.

[He listens to the squirrel's explanation as well, evidently understanding it.]

Do you have any idea why I might have ended up here?

Why? Unknown reason. Who, often guessed at, assumed to be the entity within the coral.

[He turns to look at the Lamufao. Yes, it's definitely alive.]

It does have a magical feel to it, doesn't it?

[Fluttershy trots behind a cute trio pf rabbits, lead by her very own Angel. They keep saying something about somepony needing help...]

[David greets the rabbits first, giving them all a good scratch beneath the chin before looking up at Fluttershy. He has never seen a pony like that, before! She answered his call, though, so she must be in tune with nature.]

Hello there, little pony! What are you and these nice rabbits doing here? The city must be uncomfortable for all of you.

[...Is that a little bearded man? Fluttershy isn't much taller than him, which is something she isn't used to since coming here. The animals seem to like him quite a bit, even Angel bunny, which is saying something.]

I, um, was brought here not too long ago. I'm much rather be back in my cottage next to the woods... I'm Fluttershy.

[She's actually a great deal larger than David: he's the size of a field mouse, roughly!]

My name is David. It's very nice to meet you, Fluttershy. What do you mean, you were brought here?

[Bugs' ear twitched at the whistle. Not someone he knew but...hey he didn't much else to do.

He strolled out of the forest towards the plaza, watching a few birds swoop around low to the ground.]

Well I'll be...it's a g-nome.

[David has never seen a rabbit like Bugs before! He peers up at Bugs curiously before finally deciding to wave a hello.]

Hello, brother rabbit. I don't think I've ever met a rabbit that could use human speech before!

[Bugs is also polite and he flops down on his stomach so that the little gnome doesn't have to stare quite so high up.]

Yeah, I get dat a lot and uh...the name's Bugs, doc.

[He doesn't specify that he's a doctor gnome, because clearly Bugs already knows this. David takes his hat and boots off to allow them to dry a bit.]

That's right. I was on my way to help a sick bear when I showed up here instead! Do you mind telling me where this is?

[He kinda calls everyone doc but...hey! It works. Bugs pulls out a handkerchief and hands it to the little guy.]

Dis place is called Vatheon. It's a city stuck inside a giant bubble dat's floatin' under the water.

[It isn't before long before there is kwehing and the thundering of giant bird feet and a green chocobo shows up, stopping in front of David, and lowering her head to the ground, inspecting the tiny gnome, her beady dark eyes kind and placid. She's got some reins loosely and comfortably tied around her beak, but no sign of a handler.

Well, not yet.]

[It's a little more difficult for domestic animals to understand him (most cats will outright ignore a gnome, for example!), but he can tell that the large bird isn't a predator. He pats her beak fondly, smiling.]

Thank you for coming, but I don't want to get you in trouble with your human. You didn't break out of somewhere, did you?

[Pounce kwehs again, softly, as if to reassure David that she did not break out, before further stumbling interrupts them. Gamzee pants as he jogs onto the edge of the plaza, clearly having chased after the chocobo when she so suddenly took off from their daily walk.]

Fuck, feathergirl, there is where ya at. You done all gave this motherfucker a fright.

[He hasn't seen David yet, too busy trying to catch his breath.]

[David tenses up before doing his best to put himself between the troll and the chocobo. Sure, it's a very strange looking troll, but the antagonistic language, the grey skin, the dark hair... it's unmistakeable.]

Why are you chasing this poor bird?

[Gamzee blinks, looking up. And then down again, when he realizes that the motherfucker who spoke what that tiny lil' dude standing in front of Pounce.]

[Not an animal, but a curious-looking teenage boy with long ears watching David whistling away. Eventually, he'll pipe up.]

[David pauses, then waves once he notices Link's ears, looking cheerful.]

Hello, brother elf! I was calling the animals to see if any of them knew how I might have arrived here.

Hmm, you aren't an elf? An elf is a creature that resembles a human but has long, pointed ears. They're generally much more in tune with nature.

[He nods about the request with Epona.]

I'll be sure to tell you. Is Epona your friend?

Oh... I guess that sounds like me. Except I'm a Hylian, not an elf.

[A smile crosses his face.] Yeah, she is.
