Who: Duke, Dhaos, Ioder.
Where: That house of theirs on the island.
When: Early monday morning
What: Duke is working on that feelings thing.
[ Style ], or whatever you guys want.
[ He had finally gotten around to going back down into the bubble, because he had sworn that he would keep with this host club thingeven if he was having second thoughts now, which was in the bubble itself..
And it was true. Zelda had gone home. He kept as distant as he could without causing problems, and may have ended up wandering a great deal through the bubble, ending up in the forest quadrant again.
This, at least, would give him a reason for being late back at night. Even if he was awake when he would normally get up, still at the table. He was fairly sure that Dhaos at least, knew he hadn't been to sleep, but...
He ought to try to talk. Maybe. If he can get the words. ]

Stumbling in to the kitchen that morning, hair a mess, yawning loudly, he spotted Duke at the table and stopped.
There was a moment of staring before he realized-- oh. He hadn't seen Duke since almost two days ago now. And he didn't look very good now.]
... so, I suppose you know already.

So he flounders a little bit, because the words that had tried to jump out first were "Zelda has gone home". Well, Ioder knew that.
So this is some fidgeting and then a nod. Yes, and he checked too. ]

I'm sorry. I know nothing of the past few months has been easy for you...
no subject
This is totally the worst couple of months for him in the bubble. ]
Didn't do anything.
[ Its mumbled to his arms. You don't need to be sorry, Ioder- ]
no subject
I'm allowed to feel sympathetic, especially since she was my friend as well.
no subject
... Do... nevermind.
[ That would have been a really stupid question. Duke knows that feelings don't just poof because someone is as good as dead- ]
no subject
What is it?
no subject
[ Duke is being stupid and hurting inside a lot. It's okay, Ioder. ]
no subject
Please, Duke? You know I'm willing to listen.
no subject
[And guess who's standing in the doorway, looking rather somber? You're not the only one who lost someone very important to them, Duke.]
no subject
And Duke had started to figure out that there was a very little chance of saying anything in the same building as Dhaos without him finding out one way or another. ]
I... don't... think should feel this particular...
no subject
[Which can honestly be one of the most confusing feelings of all.]

...Love is not a matter of "should" or "should not"; it simply is. What form that love has taken does not matter either... Simply that the more deeply you loved them, the more painful it is when they are no longer with you.
[His smile is far too sad to truly be of any comfort; merely a reminder that Duke is not the only one who knows the pain of losing a loved one firsthand.]
no subject
M'glad she didn't wake up to Guy missing.
[ That's a good thing, right? Being happy she didn't end up hurt. Maybe it helps with him being a terrible person for feeling the next bit- ]
Also glad because no chance of meeting and uncomfortable interaction and terrible to feel like that it all just hurts...
[ Nope saying that doesn't make him feel any better. Here is his shoulders going up and arms about his head like he can get things to make sense if he does that.
Clearly, if that was all it took, he'd have never had this mess to begin with. ]
no subject
[Ioder frowned, glancing at Dhaos before scooting closer to Duke. He knew it might be uncomfortable for the other, but an embrace was all he could offer.]
Hurting is normal, even if you'd rather it not be...

[Dhaos turns his eyes to the window, or more specifically, the expanse of sky visible through it.]
...Perhaps this means little now, knowing we will likely never see her again, but... She is free of this world; free, and back in the land that she loves more deeply than anything else.
[They had understood that in eachother, more than anyone else save perhaps Duke. He knows perhaps it may sound a little insensitive to those who don't know the feeling, but... perhaps it will help Duke.]
...The pain is intense, but it will become less difficult to bear with time.
Yeah he's not helpful sorry-
It didn't stop for Elucifur, and this feel-group for Zelda was something more-and-different.
He wants them to go away. There should be ways to get rid of them. ]
no subject
There's no easy way to get rid of them, though I know we all wish there were...
Sorry I took forever to answer. ;w;
...At the very least, we know for certain that she is alive.
[At least this way, Duke need never see his beloved die as he had...]
no subject
True.
[ Not his beloved, no, but his best friend? Yes. ]
But... if she comes back, and isn't the same Zelda... isn't that similar?
