It had been a full week since Link first arrived in Vatheon. The people he met so far were very friendly, particularly Zelda, who helped him settle in. Link still missed Tetra and Aryll, but held onto hope that they would arrive in Vatheon one day. So here he is, out exploring the city. If he was going to be here, then he'd make the best of it.

Italy was often at the plaza. The country frequented the place since he'd started up the bakery at the end, RED Bread. But today he was out planning to pick up some supplies to make more poffins. They would probably be in high demand once again, given both people and critter alike wanted them. He donned some shopping clothes which involved blue pressed pants and a white sailor-collared top with blue accents.

Italy greeted the locals then spotted someone new that he hadn't met and wasn't sopping wet. "Hey there, are you new?"

I almost thought no one would respond to this!

Link's first stop on his tour was the plaza where he awaited the new arrivals in hopes that one of them would be Tetra or Aryll. His thoughts were interrupted by the sound of a voice calling to him. He walked over to Italy with a friendly smile and nodded yes in response.

Prose is apparently scary, but I love it.

Italy smiled broadly and friendly. It was always fun to meet new people and make new friends! Then he could invite more people over for pasta and cakes and fun things~

"My name's Italy, what's yours?"

Yeah. I prefer prose cause it's easier.

"Link." Came the reply.

It is. And it's more fun too.

Italy smiled broadly. "Nice to meet you. Let's be friends~" Italy loved making friends with anyone and this Link sure seemed friendly enough. Happy too. And a new person needed allies in this strange world.

"Okay." Link said as he shook his hand.

Oh this was a great start to a new friendship~ "Ve, do you like pasta? We should get some~"

"I've never had pasta before."

[savemegermany]

"Then you're in for a treat!" Italy grabbed his new friend's hand and began to drag him off towards a small Italian restaurant around the corner. Near the restaurant was the smell of fresh food.

Link gave a small yelp as Italy dragged him to the restaurant. The smell of fresh food quickly assailed his nostrils. "Mmm."

"This is the best place here," Italy nodded confidently. "It's like the food from home! They have everything, pizza, pasta, bread~" He pushed the door open, which of course increased the yummy smell of pizza and spaghetti.

Italy could easily order the whole menu. He'd sampled all of it on multiple occasions and with various people. He liked to drag his friends to this place when going out instead of cooking in.

"What's pizza?" Link asked.

"Tomatoes, cheese, and sometimes meat on bread crust~" Italy replied. "It's really good. You should try it~"

"Okay." Link said, genuinely interested.

"Two slices of pepperoni pizza, please~" Italy ordered. He usually had pasta but pizza was always a good alternative. He liked any sort, really. The cheesier the better.

And Link sat down at a table and waited for his order.

Italy sat down too, waiting impatiently. He was pretty hungry, as noted by the rather loud gurgle from his gut. But thankfully it doesn't take long for the food to get there. Italy excitedly thanks the waiter then picks up the slice of pizza and bites it. "Just as good as ever~"

Sorry this is late.

Link grabs a slice of pizza and bites into it. "Mmm!" he says. He obviously likes it.

No worries. not late at all.

"Good, right?" Italy grinned. "This place always has the best Italian food~"

Yeah, it is!" Link said as he takes another bite of pizza.

"Get as much as you want! Food is free here~" Italy waved over the waiter for another slice for himself.

"I think I'll try the pasta next."

Italy waved the waiter over and ordered some spaghetti. Pretty basic pasta, but still good nonetheless.

Link grabs his fork and bites into the spaghetti. "It's really good."

"Si, si," Italy nodded, twirling some more pasta on his fork. He couldn't get enough of it. He was a hungry little country, always eating.

"What's si mean?"

[savemegermany]

"Yes" he replied. It didn't always translate here.

[warriorofwinds]

"Oh. It sounds weird."

[savemegermany]

"Ve, I kind of speak weird~" Then again, most people where he came from spoke strangely.

"What's ve mean?"

[savemegermany]

"I don't think it translates~"

[warriorofwinds]

"Oh. What's your world like?"

[savemegermany]

"Ve, it's very big! There's so many places to go. I like to visit Japan and Germany's houses. Japan has really nice art and nice places to visit~"

"Who are Japan and Germany?"

[savemegermany]

"They're my best friends," Italy replied. Italy had a lot of friends, but they were the best. They protected him and kept other countries from kidnapping him. "Japan was here before but now I'm by myself~"

"Oh. I'm sorry."

[savemegermany]

"Ve, it's okay," Italy shrugged, even though it really wasn't entirely so. "I've made new friends here~"

"That's good."
