006. Bad decisions
Who: Ronald, the residents of the Villa and anyone who could chance upon him that evening
When: 3/10 - late evening? Around 10-11?
Where: The villa - under someone's window.
Style: Whatever works~
Status: Open!
[ Picture it, Vatheon. You're settling down from bed, maybe. Perhaps you've just come back home from a long day of questing. At any rate, everything seems quiet. The rumble of the ocean seems like something to fall asleep to, right? Maybe so.
And suddenly, piercing the night, you would hear this suddenly playing near the Villa. If one were to look, one would catch sight of a rather eager bard playing his little heart out right outside the window of a certain someone at the Villa.
Fat lot that's going to do him, really, but Grell and that anonymous text from a few days ago did wonders with giving him a little hope. But at any rate, what do, Vatheon? Roll over and let the music lull you to sleep? Throw a boot?
At least it isn't bad playing, right? ]

What in the world are you doing?
no subject
There's a sheepish little grin as he looks back up, putting down his violin. ]
Did you like it at least?
no subject
It wasn't that bad, but I think that perhaps you are a few windows short of whoever you are trying to reach. Are you trying to get a hold of someone else?
no subject
Not at all. Wager I prolly got the right target, really.
[ Keep the smile up, Ronnie. Keep it going. Stay cool. ]
no subject
Did you used to do this to the me that was here before me or am I just special?
no subject
[ A shrug here as he turns on his heel, sighing. ]
S'not like I do this often. Decided to take the advantage of a free violin is all.
no subject
You know, it is rather bothersome to keep talking like this. It be better if you just come inside- that way you won't interrupt anyone else sleep.
no subject
S'long as m'not imposing then who'm I to say no, eh?
no subject
That is the problem- I am not sure "who'm" you are but now is just as good of a time to figure that out.
no subject
...It would be, yeah. D'you mind if I come up then?
no subject
So he walks out the front door and starts circling the villa until Ronald is in sight. Ronald was okay the last time he talked, so he'll refrain from yelling at the start.]
Oi, some of us are trying to sleep! Just what are you even doing here?
no subject
Just a small tune is all, nothing serious, sir.
[ Should've seen this coming. ]
Begging your pardon if I kept anyone up. Thought the sound would've remained in this part of the villa.
no subject
[He's just not sure what to make of it, the Villa is pretty much 'sausage fest + Maka' and Maka's taken, so.]
I hate to break it to you, but you don't stand a chance with her. Maka is pretty enamored with Rin, and even if she was single, you're on the wrong side of the house.
[He's not 100% sure, because it's not like he tries to figure out which window belongs to whom on a daily basis, but he's pretty sure that Ronald is under either Night or Yukio's window.]
no subject
He thought... he honestly thought it was Maka he was trying to enamor? MAKA? Ronald's torn between laughing and dying of shame now, really. ]
A... actually, sir...
[ Clearing throat and ruffling own hair now. ]
This little performance wasn't meant for Maka's ears.
no subject
Who's it for, then?
[He's not going to judge Ronald for his personal preferences, but he's pretty sure all the guys at the Villa are either straight or
Steintaken.]no subject
Ah, would... would you believe it was for Yuki?
no subject
long
long pause as Shiro considers this. Because yeah, this is definitely news to him. He nearly had a heart attack when he found out Rin was dating someone, and that was when Rin talked to him about it first.
...Maybe it's just a pining?]
He never mentioned the two of you being a thing.
[It's a carefully-worded statement. He wants to find out if ROnald and Yukio are actually dating, or if this is a misguided attempt at winning Yukio's heart.]
no subject
We're... we're not. But we used to be mates, honest. He came back and didn't remember we were.
M'just... a bit of a stranger to him now.
no subject
Look, I'll give you some advice, since it looks like you really need it: don't treat this like a continuation of what happened before. You'll just scare him away if you do. If Yukio doesn't remember it, start over. If you guys were 'mates' before, then you should know how to befriend him.
no subject
Instead, he should have gone got to his basics. How they became friends in the first place... and that would mean giving him space. Lots of it.
So have a very grateful reaper taking your hands, Shiro. ]
You're right! You're... you're absolutely right, sir. Blimey, I must've been daft not thinking of that sooner.
He's Yuki, after all.
[ And shaking those hands once before pulling away. ]
Thank you, sir. M'sorry about the trouble.
no subject
It's howling.
She can't really help it, but she starts howling out her window.
Then from down below, out of the workshop come her robot puppies, also howling.
Eventually, actual words come out of this:]
WE'RE TRYING TO SLEEP, ASSHOOOOLLLLLEEEE--AWOOOOOOOO!
no subject
Blimey, Jade! M'not the one who's going to wake the rest of the Villa!
no subject
[Oh, it's someone she know?? She commands the pups to be silent and tilts her head at him.]
Mr. Knox...pardon my French, but what the fuck are you doing here?
no subject
Would you believe a little night of music?
no subject
no subject
[ Small grin here. ]
Got a bit of an idea from a certain someone and a friend of mine... said it was the way back to someone's good graces.
no subject
no subject
[ Says the reaper from 1890. ]
no subject
[She's just teasing, Ron, okay.]
no subject
Couple of centuries, really, if you say it's 2013, right?
[ Thinking, scratching his head with the tip of the bow. ]
Was prolly about 18... 1890 last I read the paper.
no subject
[Yeah that sounds right.
Oh was she supposed to be more shocked by that, she shrugs.]
It's okay, dude, I know people that can actually bend time to their will, people from the 19th century or even before that being here isn't surprising.
I mean, I do not really like them playing violin in the middle of the night at my house, but that's unrelated to them as people.
no subject
[ Pause and blink. Nah, not trying to impress, miss. Just stating it as it is. There's staring though. ]
Blimey, s'that right? Not even our lot can manage that sort of thing.
no subject
[Okay, not weird but...something that reminds her of death and nostalgia all at the same time.]
no subject
I'm a reaper, mind you. One of the grim reapers from London's Dispatch Department.
[ Small look of indignity. ]
And we don't smell weird.
no subject
[But this one actually acts like he knows how to interact with people
besides naively taking stupid suggestions]No, you definitely smell weird, I do not think I have ever smelled anything that reminds me of nostalgic things and death at the same time.
[Smelling power of a dog y'know]
no subject
[ Tilting his head though. ]
Hey, what d'you mean by nostalgic? But yeah, yeah, we're reapers. Kind of like Kid but I suppose it's a bit different from his sort. Same concept though.
no subject
[What does she mean? The scent makes her feel sad but happy at the same time, that's why she calls it "nostalgic" so...]
I lost my grandpa when I was really young. There is something about your scent that is reminding me of him, but I would suppose that has something to do with you being a death entity.
[Or maybe they use the same cologne, who knows.]
no subject
M'sorry to hear about that, Miss Harley. Y'know.. I never really thought about it that way, that our kind would have that sort of effect.
Bit curious to me, really.
no subject
no subject
[ Small smile. ]
Should prolly take my leave now then... fancy I won't have much luck here tonight. Or any other night.
no subject
Oh, and...if I were you, I would not be so aggressive in romancing. Modern people don't really respond to that these days, they generally like establishing friendships and things in common first.
no subject
[ Have a laugh for that and a sigh. ]
Yeah, yeah alright. I'll haul arse and get myself out of here.
