05: villa log is a go!
Who: People who are at the Villa for whatever reason
Where: The Villa
When: today, the 26th
Style: Whichever!
Status: Open
[This is an open Villa log for anyone who wants to do stuff at the Villa.
If you want something specific to go with, Shiro left dishes of booze all over to try to get Kuro to come home, so it's possible that someone might stumble across one of those. Shiro is trying to clean them all up, but he might have forgotten where he put them all.]

The morning after Stein came sneaking in, Rin comes down to the kitchen for the usual morning ritual of getting breakfast and to put something out to thaw for dinner.
But the freezer is suddenly a lot fuller than he remembered it the night before. He stands there, blinking in obvious confusion as to why there's suddenly several large, unmarked brown packages sitting in there.
Wondering if he's just not awake enough yet and hallucinating or something equally strange, he closes the door, and opens it again.
... nope. Those are definitely real. And Rin is definitely confused.]

It's venison.

[Another blink.
Wait for it...
Waaaait for it...]
... deer meat?

... 'kay.
[And then, after a lengthy pause.]
Why?
no subject
[That's sort of the motto of Stein's life. Why not?]

[Welp. Rin knew Stein was weird from day one, so really deer meat suddenly being in the freezer isn't that bad. Strange, but not bad.
He closes the door.]
Didn't even know there was a place that sold it here.

There's a small herd of deer on the island.

[Rin is usually pretty damn dim, but for once he actually catches on to that implication fast.]
But-- ... how the fu-- ...

[Remember how Maka warned Rin not to even try to go up against Stein?
He's finally starting to understand why.
He coughs awkwardly, and glances back at the fridge, voice an octave higher than it should be for a second.]
... s-so... venison is for cooking, right?

[This is by far the weirdest food-related conversation Rin has ever had. And he's had to discuss a demon trying to stew three of Yukio's classmates with him before.
Stein is just so damn calm about all of it though.]

I'm sure it's not that difficult. [Says the doctor who usually lives off instant ramen.]
no subject
It'll be over soon.
Actually the comment about 'not that difficult' seems to snap him out of it well enough.]
Says the guy who's been jackin' all the instant ramen.
[Yeah Stein, he knows it was you.]
The recipe might not be hard but preparin' that much meat is gonna be a chore.
no subject
You don't have to prepare it all at once.
no subject
It was just vanishing a lot faster after Stein showed up.]
I still have to get it off the bone. ... unless you already did that... ?
[On one hand, yay, less work.
On the other, oh my God Stein why]

[Packaged meat, doi.
Rin is back to being the derpiest of derps. Who is still mildly freaked out, by the way.]
... any idea how long that stuff keeps for?
no subject
no subject
Still.
That's a lot of meat. And it's kind of a specialized one at that, one he's not sure everyone (who eats meat) is going to like.]
... 'kay.
[Good enough answer.]
I'm... gonna go see what I can find....
[and awkward pointing towards the library where the books are obviously kept.]
