[This is an open Villa log for anyone who wants to do stuff at the Villa.

If you want something specific to go with, Shiro left dishes of booze all over to try to get Kuro to come home, so it's possible that someone might stumble across one of those. Shiro is trying to clean them all up, but he might have forgotten where he put them all.]

[Stein's the most responsible, most mature adult in the villa.

This is why he's sneaking in the back door at like 10:30 at night. There might be blood all over his lab coat.]

[Those claims of maturity sound like lies.

Whatever the case, Shiro's room is on the first floor so he pokes his head out to see who's here when he hears the back door open. And wow what a sight Stein is!]

[It's not too much blood. He's not quite dripping all over the floor, it's just dramatic arterial splatters across his clothing.

He... might have a rented apartment and a makeshift lab somewhere.]

[paladaddy]

...Stein. What the hell?

[He's hoping for a reasonable explanation here, because he can think of a thousand unreasonable ones.]

Hmmmm?

[He looks down, taking in the blood all over his clothes with a slightly surprised expression. One hand goes up to pull off his glasses, cleaning flecks of blood off the lenses with the hem of his lab coat.]

Do you know if anyone's using the washer right now?

[paladaddy]

No, it's free, but that doesn't explain all of...

[He gestures to Stein in general.]

This. Do you moonlight as a butcher or something?

[circumsutus]

Of course not. [That would be silly.] I'm a scientist, not a butcher.

[paladaddy]

...of course.

[He's just sighing and rubbing at his face. He really shouldn't have asked.]

Laundry's free, go get changed before you give one of the kids a heart attack.

Are yours that fragile? [Your kids, as opposed to Stein's Maka-and-Kid.]

[paladaddy]

If they think it's your blood they might freak out.

[Rin's the sensitive one, he would be upset if anyone got hurt.]

[Stein glances down at himself once again.]

If they think this is my blood, they need a lesson in blood spatter analysis. It's clearly arterial blowback.

What I'm wondering is how you got arterial blowback on your clothes in the first place.

[Even though he knows he shouldn't ask, he almost-is.]

I wanted to see if there were any unusual parasites in the deer on the island.

[paladaddy]

You went and hunted down a deer?

[circumsutus]

I did. [Note: Stein is not carrying any weapons.]

[Yeah he noticed that. And he remembers how Stein said something about fighting before.]

[With his bare hands, obviously. He just sort of wanders off to the laundry room and starts throwing his dirty clothes in the washer. First the lab coat, then he peels off his shirt.



Okay so maybe he is the kind of guy who could bring down a deer with his bare hands.]

I didn't see you carrying any-

[Oh.

So that's how he did it.

Don't mind Shiro he's just now realizing that he lives with a buff psycho.]

[circumsutus]

[Said buff psycho just wanders into his room and pulls on a new shirt.]

Do you know if we have any plastic bags and wax paper?

[paladaddy]

[Shiro blinks at that, and he has to think for a moment.]

I know we have plastic bags, they're in the kitchen. Not sure about the wax paper, though.

[They're going to have a freezer full of deer aren't they?]

[circumsutus]

Maybe one of the stores is open. [A store would probably have butcher paper, which would be better.

Maybe the weirdest part about this whole thing is how peaceful Stein looks. He's lacking some of the twitchiness that's been hovering around him like a stormcloud for the past few weeks. Calm, for the first time since he's been in Vatheon.]

[It's a little unsettling that deer murder would make Stein less twitchy.

Okay yeah it's very unsettling.]

Maybe. But you might have to wait until tomorrow, it's late.

[He's definitely locking his door at night now.]

[He just needed to take something apart. Messily. Impulsively. Brutally.]

I'd like to get the meat packaged up before tomorrow.

What, are you not done with your tests?

There's no point in wasting the meat. It's completely edible.
