[Just as promised, Cain was ready to recieve Selphie at his apartment for an afternoon of practicing their music together. It made him glad to have other people to share this hobby with, especially since Mary wasn't around. He had prepared the house for her, actually managing to do some housework following Hijiri's instructions. Though the place certainly didn't look at clean as when Riff was around, it did look a lot better than it had in days.

Also, always trying to be a good host, he had taken the liberty of buying an assortment of pastries and tea for his guest. He will be patiently waiting for her arrival, hoping not to look too eager, it's been a long time since he had fun, so he is looking forward to this.]

*To say that Selphie was impressed with the building would be a massive understatement. Not that Selphie didn't know how to dress herself, but she certainly felt like she wasn't dressed up enough for this. She shrugged to herself as she reached the top floor in the elevator.

She's likely at least ten minutes later that she said she would be - fashionably late as ever. But that's because she wanted to turn up with a gift, so she's cradling a large box of chocolate in her arms, holding the handle of her violin case with one hand, while knocking on the door with the other*

[Cain doesn't really minds what she wears. He knows they're not in the Victorian era anymore, so he's pretty confused now to what's considered fashionable or not in other places and times. He also doesn't mind her being late, as it's no formal appointment. But she appears on her doorstep, he is quite glad to see her.]

Good afternoon, my Lady. You are as lovely as ever. [He gallantly offers to help her with the violin case.]

*Selphie smiles brightly as he opens the door, about to shout her greeting, but his politeness catches her off guard, as ever, and she nearly drops the violin into his hands*

Oh! Hi Cain! How are you? Uhm..I brought these chocolates too!

[He smiles at her.]

Just fine, thank you. I trust you find yourself fine as well? [He takes the chocolates too.] Thank you, please, do come inside.

Oh, yes! I'm pretty good, thanks!

*Selphie smiles as she happily steps inside, but she stops soon inside the door, staring round at this mega apartment*

Whoa...Cain...this is...awesome!~

[He blushes a little bit as she admires his apartment, but he must be honest, he's used to luxury.]

Thank you, Selphie, I hope you will enjoy the evening. [Just don't open his cupboards, or the mess he hid there will pour out. He sucks at cleaning.]

*After staring open mouthed around the room, she finally turns to Cain and smiles brightly*

You're welcome! Thanks for letting me in!

*She giggles lightly and moves to stand in the middle of the room*

So, what's the first order of business?

You are very welcome...

[He guides her to the living room, where his piano is.]

Please, do take a seat. I believe first order of business will be to offer you some refreshments.

*Oh, and the living room looks even better. She spies the piano, and can't help but rush over to take a closer look at it. Then she realises that that isn't probably how she should behave, and she moves away, looking for a seat*

That sounds good! Want me to help?

[He just smiles softly as she inspects the piano, and he can only understand given how much she loves music.

As a host, he probably shouldn't ask her help, and tea should be ok, he can do that without killing both of them in the process.]

That is fine, I believe it won't take long. But I suppose you could come to the kitchen if you wish to keep me company. I must only apologize for the mess.

Okay! That sounds good!

*She smiles as she follows him through to the kitchen*

And I wouldn't worry about any mess - it can't be any worse than mine!

[He chuckles but actually blushes a bit at his mess.]

I still apologize. I am just getting used to do things for myself. [His blush intensifies at that.] Back at home, and for a brief time here, I had a butler.

*Selphie lingers closer behind him, her eyes travelling round the kitchen. Really, it wasn't all that bad*

A butler? Wow...

*Yeah, she's feeling a little out of her depth again*

[He blushes a little bit, he wasn't really bragging. He's just too used to things like luxury and butlers.]

Oh... Well... I um... I used to have one at home. I honestly have been learning how to do things for myself just now.

Do you think it's really hard? I mean, I'd hate to be a butler - all that cleaning and stuff... So do you find it hard trying it out on your own?

*Selphie glances round the place, pretty sure that if she lived here she'd need a butler too*

Or could you hire a new one?

Well, it has been somewhat hard, since I am just learning. But I suppose things will go by more smoothly. And after all, this place is smaller the my family house back in London. [Which is a manor really.]

I tried to find a new butler, but so far I have not found any.

I guess you'll pick it up! I still find it pretty hard though - cleaning and cooking can be just so boring, sometimes..

*Her eyes widen at the mention of his larger home, and she turns again to look around the place*

Wow! You musta lived in a proper palace!

You know..you could probably advertise for one. Or do a commerical on the SFC!

[He sighs and nods.] It is quite boring, indeed...

[Aww, now he is feeling a bit shy.] Mmm... More like a manor, I believe, since I am only a Count. The Queen does live in a real palace, of course.

Oh? A commercial?

*She knows he said he didn't need help, but she moves to stand beside him now, ready to help with whatever he needed to get the refreshments ready*

The Queen... *Selphie only has a notion of queens from story books, but it does sound important. Still, she can't help but smile when he says 'only a Count'*

Yeah! Like, do a video on the SFC asking for a butler or a maid or something. I bet you'll find someone who'll wanna work for you.

[Cain just starts to brew some tea, and brings out some pastries he bought for the occasion.]

I hope you like them. [Puts everything on a tray.]

[He nods.] During my time, there is a Queen called Victoria.

[Thinks for a moment.] It's not a bad idea...

*Selphie quickly makes herself useful by moving out the way for him, smiling at the refreshments - if it was pastry, Selphie would love it*

Queen Victoria... That's such a pretty name! Is she really beautiful?

*Though one of Selphie's best friends was a princess, her only concept of a queen was from picture books*

Well, I think it wouldn't hurt to try it, Cain. You never know who might be a secret butler desperate for work!

[Cain nods at her question.] Well, she used to be in her youth.

[He chuckles at that.] I would be lucky if it were so.

Is she a really old queen?

*She smiles and nods*

Well, some people might wanna try a new job. Like me, I'm working at a flower shop now, and I never woulda thought I'd do that before. So you never know!

Well, she's neither old or young, I would say...

[He raises an eyebrow.]
