[ Having started picking at the tentacles again, there's a slightly noticeable pause when she blatantly claims she's not a human. Then there's the faintest urge to huff when she claims godhood. Overall, the story sounds preposterous. But in Vatheon, when so many come from seemingly different worlds, he has few to no means of confirming the truth.

Immortality, she says.

A monster, she says.

Dropping his hands from the jellyfish, he straightens. After a long pause, causing an awkward silence to drape over them, he states in a low neutral murmur, as though he were stating but one of many facts of the world,

. . . we're all monsters.

[ No hint of sorrow, or anger, or anything. Just matter-of-factly.

And if she's just playing him and lying, then she's going to earn her due when he finds out.
