[Latula had spent most of her morning trying to teach Gamzee balance on the board she'd provided him with (she'd told him he could paint it, if he wanted; the purple deck she'd produced for him was for him and him alone), and it was almost frustrating at this point.

Luckily, Latula has the patience of a Sufferer when it comes to teaching lanky, gangly trolls how to skate, and though they've been at it for quite some time at this point, she's still not giving up.]

You've got to learn how to stand on it, bro, otherwise you're never gonna be able to roll more than five feet!

[She's crouching down, holding the skateboard still with both hands, grinning in the most encouraging fashion as possible up at Gamzee.]

[Gamzee lifts one huge clown foot, settling it on the board, just a little unsteadily. Yes, so far they certainly haven't been making much progress. But Gamzee is not discouraged. He's having fun regardless of however often his butt has been introduced to the pavement. Latula is a chill chicka to hang with, like Terezi if Terezi were any more intense and in possessing of some good chest honkers, listen it ain't like he is looking in particular, but these things jump out at a bro, aight? and as long as she is willing to put up with his clumsy attempts at trying to skateboard, that is however long Gamzee is willing to keep trying this thing out.]

Aight. I just got to feelin' this whole wicked biznasty would be a whole motherfuckin' more simple on a dude if the wheels weren't being all so fuckin'... round.

[Latula shakes her head, giggling at Gamzee's assessment on the board's wheels, her hands holding the boar very, very still as he steps onto it.]

Yeah, but if they weren't round, it'd be a lot harder to be mobile and pull wicked awesome moves! Half the fun of a deck is making it dance under your feet. You can do this!

[Carefully, Latula reaches to place her hands on the lanky troll's hips once he's got both feet on the board, standing up slowly and trying to help him maintain his balance at the same time.] Just be steady, be easy. Relax, dude. Just gotta feel your center and feel the board. It's slippery, yeah, but it's yours and you'll learn how to make it do what you want.

[She flashes him a bright grin. Teaching other people how to skate is one of her favorite things, no doubt about it.]

[His hands awkwardly flap outward, stretched out along the full length, trying to help him stay balanced in the same way as he does when trying to ride his unicycle. Which he also is no good at. And man, he thought that was a tough motherfucker to master. But that bro only had one wheel, and this got four. Don't make it easier none, that's for sure.]

If you say so, sister. I wouldn't all be opposed to doing what that motherfucker wants to up and be doing here either.
