Who: Pascal and any would-be rescuers
Where: Around the city
When: Backdated to Wednesday
What: Pascal fell under Renge's control and is causing trouble! Someone stop her and snap her out of it!

Tuesday evening, Pascal disappeared off the network as far as anyone who might try and contact her could tell - no responses to messages or anything.
Wednesday, however, would give them a chance to see why - possibly at one of a couple of banks or pawn shops around town, suddenly losing walls to precisely-placed explosive charges, a single figure dressed in the most stereotypical robber's outfit possible, complete with a bag of loot, charging in and raiding safe deposit boxes, cash reserves, and - especially - game collections. Each time, she has been in and out before the police could arrive.
Who will try to stop Pascal, and figure out why she's acting so strangely?!
(OOC: Hubert has dibs on actually stopping Pascal, but others can encounter her then try to save her.)

Oops. Looks like she's been found by a certain sentai leader. A certain sentai leader who is... actually very sad to see this happening. But he has to be strong, and keep his cool. He is a leader, after all.
"Why are you doing this?!"
no subject
Pascal paused, slowly turning around towards Hubert, bag already full.
"Huh. Should've figured you'd show up at some point, Hu." Pascal's smile was present, but something was definitely 'off' about her attitude.
"Come on, guess why I'd suddenly go around robbing banks. I mean, there's gotta be a reason, right?"
Her other hand was already on her shotstaff, but she didn't attack yet.
no subject
"You were on our side! What reason could their possibly be for turning against your friends?!"
no subject
"My lady has determined that I will get her money with my talents. This is just the best way to get it done."
Well that wasn't a good turn of phrase.
"Please tell me you're not stupid enough to figure it out from that clue, Hu."
no subject
Oh. Hell.
"... so it wasn't bad enough that your gadgets kept getting brainwashed, was it? Also, you might want to rethink how you phrase that in the future."
no subject
Pascal couldn't help but chuckle. "Hrm. Perhaps. But for now..."
... Suddenly, the girl ran, not even bothering with a smoke bomb. Her orders if a hero showed up were simple - it was time to run away and spark a good old-fashioned chase scene. Only if it really came down to it would she fight.
no subject
And the chase was on! Hubert yanked his blades out from his uniform, clicking them in to the pistol position and firing off a few rounds before taking off after him!
no subject
"Not getting me that easily!"
Immediately, Pascal slipped around a corner, dropping a smoke bomb, then moving for a nearby ladder.
no subject
Hubert was just enough steps back for the smoke bomb to cover Pascal's escape, but keep him from choking on the acrid smoke. He skidded to a halt, looking about until he saw her form moving through the smoke up above.
He fired off two shots before bolting after her again, scaling the ladder she had gone up.
no subject
As Hubert moved after Pascal, she quickly adjusted her plan, taking a swing at him with her shotstaff as he came into reach - intending to pull him towards her, and down to the roof hard enough to stun him so she could escape.
She didn't want to hurt Hu, after all - just get away from him.
no subject
He was yanked down with a grunt, but as he went, a pistol fell from his hand and that hand snagged the end of her scarf.
no subject
The grab worked, stopping Pascal before she could get back to running away.
"Get off of me!", she shouted, even as she tripped to the ground.
no subject
"I refuse! Not until you agree to end this life of crime!"
no subject
"... You still haven't figured it out, have you, Hu? You're never going to stop the Otaku Queen like this."
And then, Pascal tripped another device - a noise bomb, to try and get Hubert to cover his ears (and free her to get away.
"I can't just agree to stop being under her power, you know."
no subject
Her plan worked, the noise going off and forcing him to let go and throw his hands over his ears.
no subject
"You'll have to do better than that, Hu!"
And she was off again, of course.
no subject
"Damn... !"
She was getting away, and he was too far behind to try and get a leg up on her.
no subject
... And then, as she attempted a roof-jump to lock in her getaway, Pascal tripped, tumbling down onto an outside stairwell with a few unintelligible noises.
Hubert's luck wasn't out yet, it seemed...
no subject
Hubert got up and crawled to the edge of the roof, looking down.
"... Pascal?"
no subject
".... Ow...?"
It seemed that between Hubert forcing her to flee and where she'd ended up, Pascal had managed to wear out her ability to flee for now.
Or she was trying to trap him again. Stupid unnatural personality changes.
no subject
He finds a ladder and slides down, landing with a thunk next to her.
"Can you get up?"
no subject
As Hubert approached, Pascal more or less flailed, swinging her shotstaff in his direction.
"D-don't! Let me..."
But she wasn't getting up. Her leg didn't look broken, but she definitely had pulled or damaged her thigh something serious.
"I... I need to escape..."
no subject
"You're not going anywhere, I'm afraid."
no subject
"... 'Twas my own vanity that bested me..."
no subject
The faintest of smiles appeared on Hubert's face, but only long enough for him to scoop an arm under Pascal and heft her up.
"You did make for a surprising villain if nothing else."
no subject
"Heh... It's always the escape that fails, isn't it? Even back home..."
no subject
no subject
"From whose standpoint? I can't just..."
Pascal knew she couldn't get away now, but she still felt a need to try. She wasn't even sure it was just The Otaku Queen's influence talking, though that certainly was a factor.
no subject
Even if she tried, he had a pretty good hold on her, and wasn't planning on letting her go any time soon.
no subject
"And instead, I probably get locked up or put through some crazy super-shrink for a week."
Even that sounded rather glum.
no subject
Because as much as she probably deserved it, even a little, Hubert couldn't bring himself to leave her in some prison or mental asylum.
no subject
"Can't. Hypnothingy, remember?"
no subject
no subject
"Fooey."
no subject
no subject
"Right, right..."
no subject
Yes, he's just going to carry her there.
no subject
Pascal still feels wrong just letting this happen, but... Somehow, it also feels kind of right?
She really had to work on this whole emotions-towards-Hu thing.
no subject
But it does make him more compassionate to a would-be villain, so there's a plus side to it at least.
no subject
"And where do you think you are going with those things?"
no subject
"Sorry, I'm not sharing that," Pascal responded. "My lady's command and all that."
And then, she took off running.
no subject
"Don't misunderstand, girl. Anyone who opposes me will only tastes despair. Better follow along my rules and tell me who is the lady behind the curtain right away."
no subject
"Mmmm. Nope. I don't have a choice in the matter."
And she takes off down an alleyway, instead.
no subject
"This is just a warning. The next hit will be fatal. You are in no place to oppose me girl. Now you don't have any other escape routes. Hand them back now."
no subject
"You would so casually murder the victim of a mind control plot?", Pascal responded with a small, rather creepy laugh.
"I'd say that makes you worse than my Lady. And it only gives me more reason to get away from you."
no subject
So tell me, how can I free you from whoever this lady is?"
no subject
Pascal paused. "Hrm. I wonder. It's not like she'd tell me, you know? Casually revealing such things fell out of favor two decades or so ago. Kinda unfortunate, buuuuut there it is."
And then, a gas bomb on Pascal's belt suddenly went off - full of a knockout gas, of course, the better to cause this would-be hero trouble so she could escape.
