[He walks back over to the other side of the room. On the windowsill is a flower pot with an extremely dead flower in it. The sight of it makes him frown slightly.]

It took me ten years to get to where I am now. I believe in my work and I know that what I do is right. I can't imagine myself as anything but an exorcist.

[He sighs, gaze focused on the opposite wall as he works through whatever mental hang ups happens to be presenting themselves to him at the moment.]

Not human. I don't have the luxury of having a human heart like Rin does.

[Now that's an interesting answer. A full demon who's dedicated his life to exorcism? It sounds crazy, but then again... it's not as if demons working for the Order is really all that strange. Hell, not strange at all, but he's gotta ask...]

Why did you choose to become an exorcist?

I needed to be stronger in order to save my friend. She saved my life a long time ago and so I returned the favor.

[Way to hit Yukio in the feels. Or as close as anyone can. He remembers saying something similar himself. Heard Rin say it too.]

[Truthfully, he still felt in her debt. Even after killing Pazuzu it didn't feel like enough; like nothing he ever did would ever make up for all the happiness she gave him. Which he was fine with. He'd give his life for her if he had to, without a second thought. She was his world and without her in it and safe it wasn't a world he wanted to live in.]

I sincerely love being around humans. I like to see them happy and live out their lives and if I can help keep that peace for them then that's all that matters to me.

The machine has a range of settings, but it isn't really the same as training at home.
