.oo8 Everyone gets some bar time.
Who: Ronnie and Will
When: After curse week - late night
Where: Bar HOMRA
Style: Starting in third but following you!
Status: Closed
[ There was just way too much happening all at once. The curse with the hats was... interesting enough. The minute Ronald noticed how funky it was making everyone, he decided to steer clear of it. Then there was Yukio coming back... for the second time nontheless and not remembering a thing. Yet another thing Ronald had decided to steer clear of. For simplicity's sake. Then there was Izumo up and disappearing. That was another thing that worried him.
Basically that left him in charge of the bar.
Maybe it wasn't so bad. But that only meant hanging out here with little to no company whatsoever. Not that he minded. The patrons came in every now and then but there were the quiet lulls when no one was about. So maybe he looked just the slightest bit sleepy the minute William would come in but the jangle of the door's bell would definitely be enough to wake him. ]
Evening! Welcome to Bar HOMRA, feel free to pull up a chair and--
[ Pausing, blinking. ]
Mister Spears? Blimey, wasn't expecting you here. What can I do you for, sir?

Mister Spears? Blimey, wasn't expecting you here. What can I do you for, sir?

But nothing happened. And being the blind, stubborn man that William T. Spears is, he can't quite seem to place why he's feeling so anxious all of a sudden - or won't admit to it, that is.
So, seeking the only other dispatch member that seems to be speaking to him, at the moment, William takes a seat at the bar and gets straight to the point. ]
Next time Sutcliff asks you for any sort of information, you can keep that regarding demons to yourself.
[ Blame the new kid, Will. Good tactic. ]
no subject
Can't blame a bloke for trying. After all, wager'd a job or summat might've kept Mister Sutcliff busy enough to give you a bit of quiet is all.
[ Casual shrug. ]
Saw that little stunt you had with the Villa, eh?
no subject
[ And here's where William goes quiet. Because he wants to rant about this, but some of it he hasn't quite been able to say aloud to himself, much less to Ronald. Perhaps that liquor behind Ronald could help coaxing it out? ]
no subject
Are you going to do the same to me then?
no subject
If I found you to be in relations with someone of a suspicious nature, then yes. I would do the same for you, as well.
[ He takes a sip of the bourbon. It's good quality. ]
Though, I feel I have less to worry about, when it comes to you being poorly influenced or taken advantage of.
no subject
[ Taking a sip from his own glass. ]
Lets say the lad I fancy... lass... whatever... happens to be half demon. Is that suspicious or no?
no subject
Of course that is suspicious. Honestly. Have you lot learned nothing from working in dispatch?
no subject
[ In a way he's just saying Grell's too crazy to act on someone else's influence, yanno? ]
I mean... s'like how there're other reapers out there an we're nothing like them. What if they're not the same as our demons?
no subject
...William just doesn't see that he's phrasing his thoughts entirely wrong. ]
What do you suppose we do then, Knox? Wait patiently and see what happens? If your theory is correct, then there is also the possibility that demons from this world could be worse than our own.
no subject
Well... what would you do then? Mister Fujimoto says Mephisto's just a nuisance. Same with Rin and I work with the bloke at the host club. He's prolly just a pain in the arse rather'n someone who'd cause any real trouble if you ask me.
[ But then there's that feeling you can't shake... ]
no subject
Honestly...
I am unsure of what to do. Sutcliff has decided to cut off all relations with me because of my inquiries about Mephisto Pheles. I suppose I could continue to monitor them both, but if he were to realize this, I am certain his reactions would be even more severe.
no subject
D'you ever thing sir, it'd prolly be best to leave him be...?
[ But have a small smile. ]
Tell you what. If it worries you, I'll keep an eye on them. Real careful. That way, it isn't on you if they figure it out, eh? How's that?
no subject
I suppose that will have to do.
[ Though, he doesn't sound entirely satisfied. Something's still off. William pushes his tumbler towards Ronald, silently instructing him to refill it. ]
no subject
[ Have a smile back, albeit a very small one as he fills the cup. ]
Let her have her fun. He let you have yours, didn't he? Down here, sir, dare I say we're prolly more friends'n subordinate and boss, eh?
Course... if you think the same way I mean.
no subject
[ Grateful for the refill, he partakes of the drink. ]
Sutcliff made it very clear that he no longer wants anything to do with me. Speaking or otherwise.
[ And suddenly he's realized just how open and gasp! emotional he's sounding! Time to get grumpy and defensive. ]
Which is perfectly fine with me. Honestly. I could have used the peace and quite decades ago.
no subject
Didn't wager you were the defensive sort, sir.
[ There's almost a laugh from that. ]
You've got to admit though, s'not quite the same without Mister Sutcliff around. Almost like you've lost a limb or summat.
Just give him some room to cool off. He's got quite the temper after all.
