What's up, Marcy?

[Snigger]
Well, you know those apartments that are near the library? That's where I live- top floor.

[As in she just zaps herself up to the floor right after saying that.]
Maaarcyyyy!

Jade! Hey, that was quick. C'mon in.
[Her apartment is actually pretty simple, not at all what some would think after hearing vampire queen rockstar. Just a couch she'll probably never use, a couple of pictures that caught her fancy. In the middle of the living room floor is a bunch of paper, some pens and pencils, and what looks to be the beginnings of a bass guitar. The Axe Bass is leaned against the wall.]
You got your own bass with you?

[As for the sparseness of the house or Marceline's comment that she arrived quickly, ahhh she'll just pass over it.]
What're those papers for? Writing songs?

[Nudging the door shut with her foot, Marceline then hovers over to start cleaning up some of her songs.]
Yep. I'm mostly trying to keep track of some of my better songs from back in Ooo, but once I have that done, I'm going to try for some more original stuff, ease it in with my usual performances.
no subject
[Sure that's one way of putting it, Jade.]
So Ooo is where you're from? Can't say I've ever heard of it...[and she'll just float on up next to her to be a nosy doggy.]
no subject
[Marceline will let her have a glimpse of 'I'm Just Your Problem'. Things like 'Remember Me' are just a bit too private.]
Yep, land of Ooo. Full of all these different kingdoms and stuff. I tend to wander a bit, and there's no ~official~ kingdom for the vamps. We're a bit of a wild card, heh heh. I've settled near the Ice Kingdom for now.

Hmmm...
[Jade swings her bass over to her and begins to strum out the notes of "I'm Just Your Problem, following the lyrics with her voice. She's shaky, mostly because she's nervous. Being able to talk to people is a lot easier than singing with them.]

[Marceline ceases her part of the conversation when Jade adjusts her bass. There's a part of her that itches to take up her own- this is her song, after all, written on the fly and spoken from the soul, but she holds herself back. Instead, she just relaxes there, humming along a little bit to help her out not too unlike how Finn would beatbox for her.]

Why do I want~ [The finish!] To?
[Hmmm...Jade's doing that thing again where she's thinking too much.]
You wrote this for someone, didn't you? [But then she realizes she's prying.] Oh no, I hope I didn't fuck it up!
no subject
[She is maaaaaybe lying a bit. Just a little. Ssh.]
Listen, whenever you're singing a song, don't worry too much on the original writer and stuff. Pretend like it's who you wrote it, and throw everything you got into it. You were doing pretty good towards the end there.
no subject
Mmm...I have never written songs before. I've collaborated on beats with my friend, but never anything lyrical. I already mentioned that, though so I'm...I don't know nervous? About throwing myself all into it.

It helps to just start singing with it too, if you're getting stuck.

[Srsface!]
I'm ready to rock.
no subject
Sweet. Alright, why don't you try the song I use as my opener, usually? [She shuffles through the papers a bit before handing her the lyrics and notes for the song in question.]
Feel free to take your time in getting used to it and stuff, we won't worry about mistakes right now.
no subject
She can't even help it, it's just a finish of "Gonna rip you limb from limb here" that makes her go AWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!]
no subject
[Enough so, in fact, that she cackles in delight and tosses her head back to add to the howling.]
no subject
I told you I was ready to rock!

What kinda musicians you usually listen to?

[She floats up to a CD rack that's in a corner, already stuffed to the brim with various cases, and starts digging through the mess.]
Little baby rockers gnawing their teeth on something- and it's okay if it freakin' sucks, 'cuz they grow out of it and realize all the other much cooler stuff that's out there. Oh hey- this'll work.
[She takes out a CD and puts it into the player, starts it up with a grin.]
Riot grrl is a subgenre- lots of chicks and shit. Bikini Kill? Awesome.
[And the first song starts to play.]
