[Tohru remembered last watching some beautiful fireworks after a rather eventful time, but now she was by a giant corral, soaking wet from head to feet and with no idea of where or even where she is. But trying not to look too worried, she headed off. Hoping to at least come across someone who could be of help. A smile as she started to walk up to people.]

I'm sorry if I'm bothering you, but I would be grateful if you could help me with a few things. Nut it's alright if you don't, I understand.

( unfortunately for tohru, a grumpy redhead just happened to be near the very same coral. at the sound of a voice being directed at him, he turned to the girl, his eyebrows shifting downward on his forehead in a scowl with a pretty excellent frown to match... )

[Well, this won't be as easy to ask for help when the person doesn't look overly happy to begin with. She's starting to feel like she might be a problem, but she might as well ask first and apologize while she does.]

Vatheon. ( he offered the answer quickly; but seemed to realize himself that was a bit harsh... ) You're -- in Vatheon.

( he pointed up ) Up there. That's the ocean. We're stuck down here, underneath it.

[Cue the shock on her fac.]

Under... the ocean and we're not drowning. How is that possible?!

( girl you serious? heat's just going to... stare with a scowl )

Hmph. You can see the bubble up there too. The stupid bubble that keeps us trapped here. ( oh. and alive, he guesses... )

[She looks up, trying hard to focus on the bubble.]

So it also keeps the water out. [And a sigh of relief.] I was worried for a moment

What do you mean, for a moment? ( he snapped -- ) You're trapped in a dome under the ocean, doesn't that concern you?!

[She just kept a smile, no matter what she was generally feeling.]

Well, it does and I'm a little concerns about people back home, but at the same time isn't this place okay, or safe?

( there's a pause on heat's part... one that seems to take some of the wind out of his sails of anger... )

I guess. Everything you want is provided for us, if that's what you're getting at.

[She nodded slightly.]

I believe I was told about that. I'm still a little surprised that we don't have to pay for much.

Hmph. That should be the least of you worries. Just wait until the curses start happening to you. ( he frowned, showing obvious distaste for whatever these 'curses' were )

Curses. You mean like spells that people read in fairy tales?

[She tilts her head, imagining what curses like that could be like.]

A fairy... tale? ( sort of like the good prince and the evil prince? it's probably something like that... ) Somehow it's probably worse than whatever you're imagining.

Oh, uh. I'm sorry. [Okay, maybe it wasn't but it did sound like it at the time.] Though, I've never actually seen a real curse, so I have no idea what it's like.

Here! This covers quite a lot about Vatheon, but basically...this is Vatheon! It is another world, and a city in a bubble under the ocean! We are brought here to maintain the energy of the barrier around us--it harvests our energy to do this. The coral that you arrived in front of can both heal you as well as restore your energy when you are tired--it feels like you just took a very good nap, really. [Hold on, thinking, what else what else...] Everything is free here! You just have to show them the mark on your body that you get when you arrive. And I am serious when I say that everything is free, you can literally just walk into a house or an apartment and say that it's yours, and it will be treated as legit!

As for exactly where we are, that has not been determined precisely, though we are still getting clues about where Vatheon is located and what world it is in, all we know for sure is it is not Earth.

Umm...that's all I can think of at the moment, any other questions?

[Tohru stood there and listened carefully as she explained where she was. Okay, so far she understands being else where, but she hadn't expected to be sent to another world altogether. She always assumed Earth and the others in the solar system were the only planets, but nothing like this is what she pictured. But thinks like the coral, while it seems off, at the same time she isn't as freaked out as one could considering. But the mention of things being free however...]

Things are free here?! But I don't think I could accept things for free.

Wellll...you are going to have to! There is no currency here besides the Starfish Tokens, but those only get you items from the Nostalgia Nook.

How does one get Starfish Token then? [She was curious enough to ask at least.]

Easy! You find a job that will pay you the Tokens! [Jade pulls out a card and shows it to Tohru.] Your Tokens are automatically added as credits to this card, as for finding a job--well--I am certain if you ask around someone will happily employ you. I work at a maid cafe myself, though my boss is a little eccentric.

[She takes a closer look at the card.]

So everything goes on there. I just hope finding a job will be easy, but thank you for informing me, it at least gives me an idea of what to do next.

You will settle in soon enough! It helps to make friends, I think.

[It's about the usual time for newcomers to arrive, so Serph makes it a point to stop by the Plaza. If Tohru's already met the grumpy redhead named Heat, then Serph's dress would seem remarkably similar; the strange armour characteristic to their world is very... distinctive.

When he's approached by a stranger, Serph nods. His expression is neutral, though, and his tone even.]

How can I help?

[He isn't sure if this is a recent newcomer, or one who had arrived when he'd been sleeping.]

[Tohru had been wondering around for the past hour, getting little bits of help here and there and upon seeing someone in somewhat familiar clothing. It couldn't be him again considering, but she was a little nervous to find out. But when he asked if he could help, she sighed, mostly with relief.]

Well, I've been asking around about this place, so I know parts of it, but I don't know how people live and work, or even school. So if you could give me information, I'll be very grateful.

[Since his arrival at Vatheon, Serph's gained a dim understanding of what school is. There's a small pause as he thinks over his response.]

Some take up hobbies. Others start their own shops and bars, or work for the locals.

[He'll see what she has to say first, before speaking any further.]

[Well, working for the locals or working in general for Tohru was a good start. For homes and the like would be a different matter at hand. So she wondered if tents could be a thing here.]

So I could easily get work here then? that's a good thing to know when I settle a bit more. But what about living arrangements. I mean, I don't have that much money on me, and well I can't afford a place of my own. So how does that work. Do you think maybe there are tents I could buy?

[Tents? Serph tilts his head; he's never heard that word before. But regardless...]

The locals provide housing without asking money. You can ask for a... [A small pause, as he considers the unfamiliar word] ...tent, or something else.

But how can people survive without asking for money? [She's starting to look overly confused.]

[Serph considers that for a moment. He hasn't really given that much thought. Though there's one thing for certain.]

They place more importance on keeping us content.

[He does add.]

Only items brought from peoples' worlds are paid for with the money earned from work.

Oh! [She at least noted that there is some form of payment, but for something else completely.]

So, they try and keep us content, but there are some thing that we do need some kind of money for.

[A nod; that's correct.]

[She shakes her head slightly.]

No, I don't believe I have any other questions.

[Well then... a nod.]

[It'd be nice to know who this newcomer is, so he can catch up and see how she's doing later.]

[She smiles, holding her hands in front of her.]
