♌ Leo gets techy with it - [OPEN]
who: Leo and Anyone
what: Programming the app mentioned here, but open to hanging out/chatting as well.
when: Every afternoon during curse week starting 5/21.
where: in the park underneath a shady tree
style: Starting with prose, but will change to match.
status: OPEN
Leo made his way into the park and picked out a large shady tree with a bench to sit under. If he was going to be spending all afternoon in one place it had to be somewhere comfortable and easy to be spotted in.
Buford was with him and he was using the sentient table to rest his SFC on so he could check for any messages while he waited for people to come get the app programmed in. He had no clue how many takers - if any - there would be, but he hoped that at least a few would be interested. He could really use the money to get some things from the Nostalgia Nook, especially some celestial bronze. He had a few projects lined up and couldn't get anywhere on them without some decent funding.
While he waited, he kept himself busy by fiddling around with some materials he'd gathered from the shopping district and from his magic tool belt. He built tiny machines and then took them apart again to make something new.

"See, now you are getting it." Gamzee took his silence as compliance, patting him lightly on the chest. "Sides, least you never up and laid waste to your bros."
Whoops, dangit, curse.

"No, I only believed I killed my mom in a fire for almost half my life. Then Gaea told me she did it to break me." He considered what Gamzee said for a moment, "You killed your friends? For real?"

Still, just cause he's honest, didn't mean he couldn't be evasive. Gamzee simply hated dealing with his problems. He much preferred ignoring them where he could. And that attitude shows him his stance, the way his shoulders droop and his eyes flick away for a moment, before returning to Leo.
"It... ain't not any shit I'm proud of but yeah. Yeah, I did."

He feels like he should do something comforting like a hug or a pat on the back, but Leo's kind of useless and awkward about that sort of thing, so he just stands there like he was.

"I got Karkat now though. No motherfucker what can help keep lock down at the dark fuckin' voodoos that haunt a brother's pan but my best pale bro."

"It ain't being too hard, even a motherfucker like me can get his pan wrapped about it. See sometimes you got a motherfucker that's a lil' dangerous, right? All sorts of liable for putting the hurt on other peeps, even if he maybe don't mean to all the motherfuckin' time. That's the sort of motherfucker what needs a moirail, needs some other dude for balancing that shit out and for helping him not be any sort of motherfuckin' danger. You got that?"
no subject
"Yea, I think so." Leo considered it for a minute before he made a comparison to something he's familiar with. "So it's kind of like maintaining a machine? Like making sure nothing goes haywire and it keeps working like it should. But instead of a machine it's a troll and sort of like friendship?"
no subject
"It's like... You ever got to feelin' like you can't up and fuckin' trust in your own motherfuckin' self?"

"Karkat makes it so I can up and fuckin' put trust in my own fuckin' self again. He helps me make fuckin' sense of what darkness does all linger deep in a bro's pan. Helps put the motherfuckin' shoosh on me, when I can't get to calming myself no more."

Because who the fuck cared that he only had known him for half an hour. He already felt like friends and friends helped each other out.
