As if on cue, Dhaos finishes charging his spell, and releases it with a shout of "EXPLOSION!" Within the span of a second, a fireball forms, drops from the sky, and strikes the ground after passing through one unlucky water creature. It, well, explodes upon impact, creating a shockwave of fire that spreads out about eight feet.

Belatedly, Dhaos realizes that he forgot to include the component of the spell that would leave allies completely unharmed. He maaaay have just set Masaru on fire a tiny bit...
