Some sake and company.

Who: Wallace and Selphie Tilmitt.
When: Today, 15th February
Where: Wallace's apartment.
What: Wallace shares some sake and company with Selphie.
Status: Closed.

Wallace was busying himself cleaning his apartment up for when Selphie arrived. He had asked her over for sake and some company. Just the two of them as she was now one of his closest friends in Vatheon. Moving the cushions around on the sofa, he sat down and looked at the clock. Would she forget? He doubted that. After last night's Valentine's treat, he hoped his company would be wanted once more. He enjoyed his time with her.

Right now, Selphie really needed some company. And besides, sake reminded her of Kenshin. She hadn't had any to drink since he had left, and she guessed this would be a kind of homage to him.

Selphie showed up maybe about ten minutes late, which wasn't so bad. But she hadn't planned it. When she reached his apartment she knocked on the door, her arms full of candy and snacks that she'd picked up on the way.

Wallace jumped from his chair and immediately went to the door. He smiled as he saw Selphie. "Hello, there. Oh, and you've brought goodies with you." He noticed her hands stuffed full of things.

"Do come in."

Selphie grinned at him and nodded, moving kind of lop-sided as she tried not to drop any of the stuff, "Uh huh! Thought it could add to evening!"

"That's a nice idea, Selphie. Very thoughtful indeed." Wallace agreed as he walked into the living room. "Have a seat won't you?"

"Thanks, Wallace!" Selphie happily entered the living room, and flopped herself down on the sofa, getting herself comfy.

"You're welcome, Selphie." Wallace grinned as he went to get them both some sake to drink. He came back and passed her a small glass. "Sake as promised."

"Perfect! That's just what I need!"

Selphie smiled back at Wallace when he brought out the sake, and she happily took her glass, being careful not to spill it.

"Okay. Are you ready?"

She looked down at the glass, and back up at Wallace again.

"Ready for what?" He looked a little blank. They had the drinks, so what else?

"Drinking, of course!" Selphie laughed at that then tossed back the entirety of the glass. She shuddered a little, then smiled.

"Of course. Silly me." Wallace smirked. He was rather surprised at how fast she drank her first drink. He filled her glass up once more as he drank his own.

She'd take more time over the second glass, not wanting to get too drunk too quickly. She'd just been looking forward to that first initial burn of sake. "So, how are ya, Wallace?"

"I am well, thank you, Selphie. I have been buying more items to adorn my house here in Vatheon. Many new and different shops." He pointed to some portraits of Vatheon hanging upon his wall and a new blue rug on his floor.

Selphie looked around the room, taking everything in and nodding in approval as she settled more comfortably on the sofa, "Wow. You're really making yourself feel at home here, huh?"

"I do try." He nodded with amusement. Finding new things for his apartment had been fun for Wallace, since he loves creating things. "Do you like it?" He poured him and Selphie out some more sake.

"You do seem to like pretty things, alright." Selphie grinned and accepted more sake, taking a larger gulp, "Yeah! It's nice and colourful, I like that!"

He nodded with a blush.

"I do like pretty things as you may know. I'm an artist and a collector of pretty objects. Milotic loves them also."

Selphie laughed and nodded, "Uh huh. I can tell by looking around, Wallace. And that's good that Milotic likes them too. A nice little household!"

"Oh, she does. She likes what I like usually, which is good." He looked around then looked back at Selphie. He sipped some sake and tried not to stare at her too much.

"Aww, like a cute little couple." Selphie giggled, remembering how attached the Pokemon had seemed to Wallace. She took another drink, tilting her head at him as she noticed how he was looking at her, "Something wrong?"

Wallace blushed some at that. He had formed a strong bond over the years with Milotic. "No, of course not." He smiled and drank some more sake.

Selphie just laughed at Wallace's blush, settling back on the sofa as she took another sip of sake. "You sure? You were looking at me funny. Is there something on my face?"

"Uh, no. Nothing." Wallace smiled nervously and tried not to blush. Why couldn't he act normal around Selphie?

"Well.. if you're sure." Selphie looked at him a little uncertain about that. So she just smiled and took another sip of sake, "But you know you can tell me if something's wrong, right?"

"Alright." He sighed. "I was staring at your face because you are pretty to look at." He gulped some more sake.

"Ohh...right. well, at least nothing bad is wrong then, right?" She smiled, but laughed a little nervously.

"No, not at all. Nothing like that." He reassured her with a beaming smile. "Let's enjoy our drinks, Selphie. Have you been up to much?"

"Oh that's good." That smile definitely reassured her and she smiled back, drinking up the rest of her sake. “Hmm, mostly just been working at the flower store. How about you?“

"Ah, your flower store. Nice. I've been training with my Pokémon and exploring more of Vatheon."

"Well, it's not really my shop. It‘s Aya‘s, I just work there. But I like it a lot. Just been so busy with Valentine‘s day and all. It‘s good that you‘re happy here, Wallace.“

He nodded. "I am sure you have been busy, Selphie. It's always good to keep yourself occupied."

"Well, I guess that's what keeps us from going crazy down here, isn't it?" Selphie grinned and took up a bar of chocolate that she had brought, snapping it open to take a few squares before offering it to Wallace.

Wallace smiled at the offer. "Thank you and yes, you are right." He bit into the chocolate. Mm, it was good.

"You're welcome!" Selphie smiled and took some more chocolate, happily looking around her. Sake and chocolate was a really great mix.

Indeed it was as Wallace was enjoying the different flavours in his mouth. "Selphie, have you been enjoying the nice weather Vatheon has been getting recently?"

She finished the chocolate that she had and nodded slightly, "Yeah. I guess it's a bit better. It's real nice up on the island. How about you?"

He nodded. "I've been enjoying the warm weather by spending time outside with Milotic and going out on walks. It's been fun."

"That sounds pretty nice!" Selphie smiled then leaned forward to reach for the bottle of sake. "More?"

"Yes please." Wallace nodded eagerly as Selphie held the bottle of sake. He wouldn't try to get drunk though.

Selphie smiled as she poured, twisting the cap back on afterwards and putting the bottle down - probably this next glass of sake would be plenty for now, "So...no other news? No gossip for me?"

"Well, there might be some. I have been working on this painting. I was going to show you at a later date, but I don't see why I can't show you now." He went into the other room and brought back a canvas. He showed it to Selphie and smiled. "It's a painting of Vatheon's sky. I just love how it looks."

Selphie waited, curled up on his sofa as he went to fetch the painting. When he brought it back she leaned forward to take a better look, "Oh wow... Wallace, that's really pretty!"

He smiled. "I'm glad you like it, Selphie. I tried to catch the mood and colours of the sky here in Vatheon."

Selphie smiled at the painting and nodded, "I can see that. That's the good thing about Vatheon - gives you lots of time to concenrate on doing fun stuff."

He nodded, beaming. "Yes. Fun stuff is always good. I like to train and take it easy where I can."
