Great.

Juuuuuust great. I wake up and find myself is a weird place and Vincent's no where to be found. Oh, sure Vincent I could have a mild concussion and you just split without seeing if I'm okay or anything. Jerk. Last time I come and save your butt.

[She mumbles to herself and pulled down the hood of her poncho. It was wet and was feeling rather heavy on her. How did she even get wet in the first place? Her fingers unsnapped the clasp along the neck and she pulled it off to lap out the material wring it out over the ledge she was seated on.

Yuffie decided it was better to access the situation and observe the people of the city she was in. That brochure seemed like a lot of bull. Who came up with something so far fetched? For all she knew she been abducted to....what was the name of the city again? Maybe she should skim over that brochure again, but for now she'd watch. Though she took notice of the mark on her thigh.]

[It's the familiar voice that catches Tifa's attention, because she certainly doesn't recognize the cloak, and even without it, she might not have recognized Yuffie right away.

She looks... older. Not just a girl anymore but a young woman. Tifa had expected Zack to look older, and Vincent looks the same as she remembers even if she understands time has passed for him, too. This is more of a surprise, but it isn't a bad surprise.

Quickly recovering herself, Tifa smiles and approaches her friend.]

Yuffie?

Who wants to know?
[Though glancing down it seemed like they might already know who she was. Brown eyes blinked once they caught sight of a familiar brunette.

A familiar face, finally! This brought a big smile to her face. Did Tifa let her hair grow back out again? She swore she cut it down a bit or did it just grow back?

Well, either way the shinobi jumped down from her perch to greet her friend and playfully salute.]

It would be the Great Ninja Yuffie, but you know you have special friend prilveges to call me Yuffie though too.
[Still very much Yuffie.]

I'd better have "special friend priveleges," that'd be a bit of a mouthful.

[Yes, very much Yuffie. Tifa's smile broadens and she closes the distance to give the younger woman a hug despite how soaked she is.]

Always! With some practice it can roll right off the tongue.
[Her title was a little longer these days, but longer it is the more impressive, right?

Well, she was going to give Tifa a soaking wet hug anyway, least now she isn't at fault. She's more than happy to return it.]

Oh man, I can't tell you how relieved I am to see you. Thought I might have to improvise on this by myself.

Vincent was here, but I haven't seen him in a while. And... Zack.

[She's not sure if the name will mean anything to Yuffie. It wouldn't have to the 16-year-old Yuffie she remembers, but maybe in the time since, Cloud's said something about the man who was apparently his friend.

Either way, her smile turns wry.]

There are a lot of weird things about this place that pamphlet really doesn't prepare you for.

Typical. Lookin' for him and he just poofs like usual. I'm going to call his phone so much.... Zack?
[The...name was familiar, but it was taking her a moment to place a face with the name. Cloud had vaguely mentioned him a long time ago, but more so in passing.]

I don't think I was prepared to be kidnapped, so doubt I'm prepared for anything else, but they can't surprise me again when I'm wide awake and alert now.

He was a friend of Cloud's.

[And a dead one at that, but Tifa hadn't known either of those things until she spoke to him. If Yuffie doesn't know either, it's not important just yet, so she shakes her head dismissively.]

You'll be surprised, trust me. Let's get you a towel and I'll try to cover the important things.

Oh...hey! I remember him! I might have gave him a pretty hard time when he came to Wutai.

I didn't think I'd ever see him again. It's been....ah....been a good few years since I saw him. Oh man, I gotta mess with him a little.
[Oh, she remembers now and that hair cut. She always wondered who's Cloud hair cut reminded her off, well other than a disgruntled chocobo.]

We'll see. They'll get a 'boom', 'pow', 'yah'! Right in the face if they try to.
[She gave a nod of her head.]

[Tifa blinks, a little surprised. It never occurred to her Yuffie could have actually met him. Huh.

Anyhow she leads Yuffie a short distance to the nearest towel stand and hands one to her.]

I don't mean a sneak attack; I'm sure you could handle that just fine. It's more like magic. Strange things just... happen.

[She didnt' think she'd know an old friend of Cloud's. It was certainly an interesting meeting none the less.

The towel won't help much for her poncho, but at lest she can dry her hair and down her skin.]

Magic? That might be a little more tricky then. Define strange, because I've seen a lot of that back home.

[Either Yuffie hasn't noticed or Tifa just doesn't look very different in the future. Vincent didn't mention her looking any younger, but, well, Vincent doesn't mention much of anything.]

For one thing... you were sixteen the last time I saw you.

[Other than her hair and clothes, Tifa didn't age that much. Far be it from her to ditch the conservative look and all again. Not like she could talk with her own clothing.
]

I know we don't get to see each other a whole lot in-between, but it hasn't been THAT long has it? Expect that kinda memory loss with Cid.

Honestly, I'd rather not be sixteen again. I'm almost 20.

Before I came here, I'd just seen you. We were on the Highwind, when you rescued me from Junon.

That's what I mean about strange. Zack said something about me and Cloud being in a church and Vincent mentioned a ground assault... But as far as I can tell, none of that's happened yet for me.

That's...really weird. I wonder if this place is messing with our heads or something?
[That was about four years ago when that happened. She definitely remembers it, but those events took place some time back.]

Ground assault? I had just saw Vincent awhile ago when I had saved him from one of the Deepground members.

Oh, it does that, too, but... I don't think that's what this is. I mean, we're almost the same age now.

[So it's physical, too. ... Yuffie being nearly the same age as her, that's a weird thing to realize.]

Deepground? ... Never mind, I shouldn't know.

[She was sure there was like a 4 or 5 year difference in age with her and Tifa. She should be almost 25 right now, right?

But with the clothes and her hair still being long it was like time had went back in reverse.]

[At Yuffie's last question, she shakes her head again.]

[Zack had noticed a newcomer at the Plaza. Her tell tale wetness and cautious look were dead giveaways. Although the curse has lifted and he's an adult again, his week as a child reminded him of what was important to him. And helping people out was one of them.

[Well, she likes to talk out loud to herself when she's accessing the situation or a little bored. She glanced down at who was talking to her and noticed a rather familiar spiky head, but it wasn't Cloud.]

They usually institutionalize people who do that. I'm only interfering on your behalf!

[He can't really see her face, so he doesn't make the connection, yet.]

...now that I think about it, I don't think they have a mental ward here.

Well, you better hope I'm not crazy then. I might do something unpredictable like...give you a less spiky hair cut.

[She pulled herself up and leaped forward displaying her acrobatics landing on the ground nimbly in front of him. She had a better clear view of him now being in front of him. Brown eyes skimmed over him for a moment taking in the familiarity. ]

Well, it COULD use a trim...

[When she hops down, and he finally gets a good look, his eyes widen. Although he was.dead before the war started, he still was able to keep an eye on Cloud in his own ways and what he had been up to. So of course he had recognized this girl. But...saying that he knew her because he was playing spectator in the Lifestream would be just a tad weird.]

[Though it's been a good couple of years it wasn't too hard to remember that face. Or the hard time she happened to give him when they had crossed paths.

She held back a grin when she sent him on those wild goose chases through some missions she gave him. Oh, what was his name again? Cloud had mentioned him in passing one time, but it didn't click so much back then. Least she knew where the blonde got his taste in hair style.]

Well, with soldiers hanging around everywhere it's not like there were kids out in the street playing around.

[Zack begins to laugh, because really, what else can he do?]

[He doesn't sound offended. It's kind of funny, if anything.]

[It wasn’t every day was there someone talking to themselves in part of a moogle outfit. He watched until the girl noticed her mark.]

Nice to know I have matching tattoo's with everyone else. It just screams cult with this welcome.
[The fact that she doesn't recall getting it only waved big red flags to what this meant. She quirked a brow at the towel for a moment before taking it.]

Free? As in, Free FREE? Like no catches or anything if I were to pinch some--well, take something?

Probably nothing worth while taking minus food. Not like it'll make up for kidnapping me.

That could be one way of looking at it. We have to pay their Lamufao a visit once a month other wise we'll be worse for wear. Not only do they mark you and give you free things, but you also get fun little curses and monster invasions. Thoughtful of the lot, huh?

[He'll give a nod to the free.] That is what I said, lass. Free. Whatever you see in the shops are free. It makes pinching loot rather dull. [Unless it was something special that came with a person.]

Only place that is any different is at the Nook or the Carnival. You have to earn tokens to get in or get things from your world. It's enough to do. Just help out locals or check the board if anyone is hiring.

[There's was a light snort from her and a shake of her head.]

I knew there was some sort of catch anchored with all this. Monster's aren't a problem for me as sticking around here for too long. I don't want to be in debt to someone for no apparent reason.

[Though she tends to behave herself moreso these days since joining the WRO at least someone could understand the lack of thrill in swiping something.]

Yeah, not too much of a challenge to be had if you can walk in and out. And thanks for that.[She placed the towel on top of her head to help dry her hair before patting her face dry.]

OR I could just sneak in. As much as a carnival sounds like fun I think they owe me.

Burgh was just feeding Sewaddle some leaves when he noticed the young girl sitting on the ledge nearby. She looked fairly new and a new face was always something to get curious about. Burgh was curious by nature as he popped Sewaddle onto his shoulder and approached the girl slowly.

"Hello there. Are you alright?"

There was a shake of her head band to flap out the tails to get the remaining water out. She glanced down hearing herself being addressed by. It wasn't hard to tell who, since he stuck out a bit with those colors. Was that stuffed animal on his shoulder?

"Other than wet and lost I think I'm fine." She grinned and thought it to be a little more polite to jump down to properly have a conversation, "Do you live here too or do you happen to be in the same boat too?"

"Lost? Oh, I see. Perhaps I could help with directions." Burgh offered with a smile. He noticed her eyes went to the caterpillar Pokemon on his shoulder.

"I am Burgh and this is Sewaddle, my Pokemon. He's friendly and won't bite." He reassured her. "I do live here, yes. I've been here for over a month now."

"Think so? Because I don't really know this place at all, unless you can tell me how to get out of this city that is." Which would be great if she could get directions, "Or if you seen a friend of mine. Tall guy, kinda pale wears a lot of black and red. The strong silent type and seems like he brood's a lot. Can't miss him."

Though Vincent has a habit of popping in out of no where like some ghost.

"Yuffie Kisaragi, nice to meetcha!" A brow quirked as he introduced the thing on his shoulder,"It's...real? Thought it was a toy at first. It kinda looks like a...."

"If I see someone of that description, I will inform you." Burgh nodded. He smiled at her comment about Sewaddle. "Oh, he's not a toy. He's a bug type Pokemon from my world." Burgh offered Yuffie a look as he took the caterpillar from his shoulder and cradled it in his hands.

The bug looked at Yuffie then gave a smile. "Sewaddle!"

Yuffie's never seen such a strange little creature... Pokemon was a rather foreign word for her to here. That pamphlet did mention other words and such, but she was skeptical in believing such.

"..A bug?"

Bug....

Bug.

BUG.

If you never seen ninja's disappear so fast, well now you have. She was just standing in front of you a moment ago until that word echoed in her head. Oh god....there were bugs that went up to that size to be big as someone head?!

She wasn't too fond of smaller bugs enough as it was now they came in jumbo sizes!? No, no, no, no, no, no....

He's a bug Pokemon and a nice friend. He won't hurt you, don't worry. He's not from Vatheon, if that is what you are wondering. He's from my own world called Unova.

[He let Sewaddle look at Yuffie before placing him back on his shoulder. Maybe she just didn't like bugs? Misty in Kanto didn't.]

I'm guessing you don't like bugs much? [His face fell slightly at that. He adored them.]

That was a big no. She can't say that she really liked them in the least. Being back up on the ledge where it was relatively safe.

"It's...it's not like I'm afraid of them..! I just don't normally see them so big. Are they always that big from your world?"

It looked something like a caterpillar. Do caterpillar's even bite?

Burgh shook his head. "Sewaddle would never bite anyone. He's well behaved and loves humans. Don't you, Sewaddle?" Burgh looked at the bug as he nodded then smiled.

"It's a Pokemon. Creatures that live alongside us in the region. We train them and have them as our friends." Burgh nodded.

"That's good, not that I thought it would... So, it's more like a ally than a pet?" She kept a steady eye on the pokemon for a moment. It...was sort of cute, but her fear of bugs wasn't about to allow her to get within a safe distance.

"Are....they all bugs?"

"He's my best friend and ally, yes. We treat our Pokemon as equals. They're not like pets at all." Burgh tickled under Sewaddle's chin. "No, we have different types such as water, fire, electric, dark, ghost....many different ones." He smiled.

There was a quiet stare before Yuffie decided to jump back down from the ledge. The Sewaddle certainly wasn't like anything she's seen before. Something like that can be trained?

"So, they assist you in fights? Is it strong?"

"Yes. They take part in Pokemon battles. Between other trainers, who also have Pokemon of their own. Or to assist in catching a wild Pokemon. It's quite fun." He nodded.
