Who : Little Equius and whoever finds him
Where: in his backyard and around the bubble
When: whenever during the age-swap curse
Style: baby!STRONG
Status: OPEN
One: In the backyard of his hive
It's very scary, waking up in a place that's not your hive and that doesn't have your lusus! Especially when you're a much shorter, not nearly as STRONG version of yourself, and know that without Aurthor around to protect you, you are subject to the whims of a brutal, ugly society. That's why the first day of the curse finds a tiny version of Equius, with both horns intact and no glasses covering his face, hiding in his backyard in the pen with Darkleer's horses. They are the closest thing he has to a lusus right now, and he's got his face pressed against the shoulder of the larger one, letting its large body block him from view.
Or so he thinks.
Two: Around the bubble
A day or so later, Equius discovers RoboEquius, and RoboEquius is about the coolest thing ever! It's like a giant, metal friend, just for him! They even have the same sign! And the robot speaks to him, but only to him, and only in his head! It's like an imaginary friend you can touch!
RoboEquius is cool enough that the little blueblood ventures out of the backyard, holding the robot's hand and letting himself be guided around the bubble. Should anyone get close, though, he retreats behind the robot's legs and peers out with serious, solemn eyes. It hasn't quite dawned on him yet that no one else can hear RoboEquius.
[OOC: I'm leaving on vacation tomorrow, so most of this log will be backtagged!]

Two~
Once the adult approaches though, she pauses to spot a tiny Equius sticking close to the metal version of his older self. It seems like all the trolls she's fond of are being turned into children lately.
"Can I help you find something Little One?"
no subject
"... no. I'm okay." His voice is a high-pitched, squeaky version of its usual bass rumble.
no subject
All so very true. "Why don't we start with introductions, hm? I'm Washu."
no subject
"I'm three sweeps old!"
no subject
He may be angry, but she is very, very amused.

"Just follow me, and we'll get some ice cream."
After all, who doesn't like ice cream?
no subject
Just to be safe, Equius pushes RoboEquius ahead of him, keeping the robot between the two of them.
"What's ice cream?"
no subject
Children can be so difficult sometimes. It's amazing how an offer of food could pacify most of them.
She lead the way to the nearest ice cream parlor and let Equius order whatever he wanted while getting her own scoop of the delicious frozen treat.

Once in the parlor, Equius forgets his hostility in the interest of ice cream, and selects the bluest cone he can, adding blue sprinkles and blue berries for toppings. It doesn't take long before his face--and no small part of his hair--is a sticky, blue-smeared mess, and he's looking quite pleased with himself.
no subject
Once treats are acquired, she directs him to a table to sit and eat. Once he's done, she might attempt the adult thing of getting him to clean up a little. After all, he is a very blue and sticky mess.
no subject
"I can do it!" With all the dignity a three-sweep old can muster, Equius struggles to get away from her and pulls a towel out of his sylladex. He then proceeds to... basically smear the ice cream all over the towel and not really get any off his face at all.
no subject
She lets him pull away and get the towel and just sits there amused until he's make a bigger mess before holding out her hand.
"Now give me the towel."
Can you see her trying not to laugh?
"It needs to be wet to get it all off your face."

Either action might be greeted with mixed results.

Equius squirms as she wipes off his face, but he holds still long enough for her to get most of the ice cream off before wiggling away. "There, it's done now, I'm clean!" And except for how his hair is sticking up in points, that's mostly true!
no subject
She can't help but feel a little sad, wondering how many times she missed doing this to her own children over the years. Those thoughts never lead her to a good place, it was just best to push them aside and focus on the here and now. "You hair looks like a mess but, if you like the way it's sticking up, then I won't suggest you go into the bathroom and try and fix it."
no subject
Horrors. Only lowbloods have hair that sticks up! Or so Equius' very limited experience tells him. He gives Washu a wide-eyed look of horror and runs to the bathroom to fix it.

no subject
"There. I fixed it."
no subject
"It looks like you got soaked fixing the issue. Come here, I'll try you off real quick."
To pull that off, she holds out her hands and coats the palms with warm energy. One quick run over his clothes, the slight sensation of warmth and he would be dry.
no subject
"How did you do that?"
no subject
And have all the excess power she has even in the bubble. Even though, it's nod as much as she had before her arrival. It also meant frequent trips to the coral to recharge.
