[Day 285]
Who: Roxas and Axel
When: Evening
Where: Starting in their apartment
Style: Whatever you like♥
Status: Closed
On first entering the apartment, it wasn't obvious anything special was going on. Roxas was casually dressed (no one told him to be otherwise), all the usual lights were on, and though he looked eager to see his friend, it wasn't out of the ordinary for him to be so.
But there was a lingering smell of meat sauce in the kitchen, and on closer inspection the pillows were missing from the sofa. Roxas had managed to get everything ready while Axel was out of the apartment for a bit. The spaghetti was cooked and the candles were lit--but the set-up wasn't actually in the apartment. If there was one thing he thought he'd gotten right, it was location.

Setting foot in the living room, Axel glanced around looking for Roxas, at the same time noting the missing pillows.
"Roxas?"
no subject
"You hungry for dinner? I thought we could go out." Good, that came out pretty smoothly, no stammering. Maybe Axel wouldn't suspect anything.

On the other side of it was a rooftop. Not the same one they'd had their makeout session on months ago, but one similarly high with a good view of the bubble. To one side of the roof was where not just the sofa pillows but really every pillow they had in the apartment (including Axel's happy sunshine one) had been relocated to serve for comfortable seating. The red candles were placed somewhat randomly, and the scent of cinnamon mingled with that of the two waiting plates of spaghetti.

So that's where the pillows went. And... candles. Right. He remembered that.
He shouldn't have said anything."So, uh--" He scrambled for words to say for a beat. "... Is that the pillow Sora gave me?" Point point just say anything, Axel.

"Yeah. Is- that okay?" And was all of it okay?
no subject
"Yeah. 'course it's ok."
no subject
"C'mon. I tried some of the spaghetti so- it's not gonna kill you or anything." The pasta was maybe a little undercooked, and there were a few burnt bits in the meat sauce, but overall he thought it was pretty good.

He rested his elbow up on the little table first and eyed Roxas, brow raised.
"So you took my advice, didn't you?"
no subject
"You said to surprise you."

"So you like it," he concluded, smiling with relief.
no subject
"Yeah. I'll give you credit, man. You managed to pull it off without me noticing."

"'scuse me?" he huffed. "I get out enough."
no subject
"Uh-huh." Obvious skepticism there. But he was still curious what Axel did spend his time doing when he went out. "So what were you up to today?"
no subject
"In other words, I'm probably the most boring roommate you're ever gonna have."
