Up for a game?
Who: Radical Edward and her dog Ein, plus anyone who wants to join.
When: Current
Where: Plaza
Style: Starting Action, will follow prose if you prefer.
Status: Open-tastic
[A curious sight will greet the visitors of the bubble. A scrawny young girl sitting at a small table in the plaza. The table has two seats, which she is currently occupying one of. On the table is a peculiar fish-themed chess set.]
[The board is set up, but with no moves currently made on it. The black pieces are facing towards the girl. The chair across from her, in front of the white pieces, is currently empty. She is staring at the board, waiting.]
[Next to her, on the ground, is a brown welsh corgi. He seems to be occupying himself by exploring the immediate area around the plaza, but for the most part, sticks within sight distance of the girl at the table.]

Ed maneuvers one of her knights, not capturing anything, but making Washu have to chose between the safety of one of her own knights, or the piece that captured Ed's Pawn. Trap from Ed, or dumb luck? who knows?

Interesting maneuver. Washu smiles as she studies her options. Either loose her knight or the piece that captured the pawn. Clever little child. However, there's another option. Washu moves her second knight into place. If Ed takes the other knight, this one could easily swoop in and take Ed's piece.
A knight for a knight~. IF she goes for that piece. Otherwise, Washu would only be loosing a pawn.

"Well, So long as he is not lonely. Ed wouldn't want him to be scared. Nothing is worse then being alone. Yep-Yep!"
She could take the knight and lose her own, or settle for the pawn. Or, being Edward, go for option C. Ed moves her bishop again, creating another distracting angle for Washu to think about. It threatened Washu's Knight's position, looks like Ed wanted it out the way so she could claim the pawn even easier.
Which, seemed strange to go through the extra trouble to claim a single pawn. Then Washu will see it, Ed was attempting, through skill or dumb luck, to force her Knight into a space where it could be captured by Ed's other Knight.

That, and this was starting to become more interesting then the last time she played this game~.
Instead of moving any of the pieces in battle, she opted to move a pawn on the opposite side of the board.

Leaving the knight stalemate for now, eh? Very well, Edward bides her own time. She notices one side of back row was empty, and decides to castle. Edward takes her king and moves it next to the rook, then moves her rook to the other side of the now-moved king.
"Edward likes Castling, it is the only time you can move two of the piece-people at once."

She watches as Ed castles her king and raises an eyebrow a bit. That was a fun move, she'll admit that. And useful. Washu observes the board for a few more moments before moving one of her bishops to take out one of Ed's pawns.

Her king now 'safe', Ed laments the loss of her pawn. She could not immediately claim Washu's Bishop, but she could take one of Washu's pawns. Claiming it with a pawn of her own.

What was Ed even doing? Crazy random moves, or was she planning something?

Sh studies the board for a few more moments before moving a pawn she had been holding back. Even though there was strategy to her moves, they could be viewed as just as random as Eds at times.
Gonna speed this up a bit. <3
Her chaotic style will give Washu a run for her money, and make her practically impossible to correctly predict what it is she is going to do. It pays off a couple times, with Ed claiming a couple of pieces unexpectedly.
The strange part, though, is Washu will notice a time where Ed could have put her king in a difficult check that would greatly speed up the game, by forcing both queens to enter the fray, but instead opts to take a pawn. A missed chance? Or something else?
<3
Though, once Ed passes up the chance to force the queens out, she's immediately curious to see what the girl will do next. Was it an over sight or was she planning something?
She tapped her finger against her lips for a few moments, taking her time to come up with a few different scenarios before finally moving a piece. The piece? A simple knight. And surprisingly, not taking one of Ed's pieces this time.
